The college is worthy if you are hard-working, and it is not worthy if you are lazy.

Placements: IIT BHU is known for its placements. The highest package among all the colleges was offered here for the past three years. But, the students of only top branches were eligible for those packages. The situation was not the same for the lower branches like metallurgical engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, etc. It is very difficult for the students of these branches to get on-campus placement. I think the placement cell should concentrate on how to uplift the placements of these branches by pr...

It is a great place to live and experience.

Placements: Placements in the college are always great. Our IIT is the best in terms of placements. Students are offered the highest salary package among the packages offered in all IITs. Placement drives for the current batch are going on. But, I can surely say that the placement rate would be better than last year as a lot of students are offered PPOs through internships last year. Last year, more than 50% of students from the metallurgical engineering branch were placed. Around 40% of the students went f...

A review of Department of Ceramic Engineering - Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi.

Placements: Placement session in 2017 was pretty good. Among 1,100 students, more than 750 students got placed, but the quality of profiles offered needs to improve. There is a great lag in the consultancy profiles. Quality of placements offered in IIT B, K and KGP are better. The lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 80 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 10-11 LPA.

Overall, the college is good.

Placements: The average package offered is 7.9 lakhs per annum, and the highest package offered is 14 lakhs per annum by the non-core companies. Mostly, the students are placed in the non-core field. The placement percentage is a bit low because most of the students try to appear for IES examination, and hence, don't sit for placements.

Good placements in 2015, average infrastructure and few qualified professors.

Placements: Almost all the students of my batch (CSE-2015) were placed within a week. All the students from my senior batch also got placed. Overall, almost 90% of the students who participated in the campus placements were placed. The highest package was an overseas package offered by Oracle, Microsoft and Google which is roughly around 1.5 crores to 2 crores in INR. For placements in India, Goldman Sachs pays the highest package of around 30 lacs annually. The average package for computer science is aroun...

The best placements for electronics till 2015.

Placements: Placements for my batch were more than 95%, and those who didn't get placed didn't attend the placements. They had planned on going for MS/PhD. The placements were relatively lower during our senior batch, and that was mostly because of the wrong timing of placements. The highest CTC was 28 LPA and the lowest was 6.50 LPA. The internships was relatively lower.

Placements are good, and the faculty, infrastructure and facilities are average.

Placements: The placements are really good with the average package varying from branch to branch. The highest packages offered in the last 3 years were 2 crores, 1.5 crores and 2.5 crores (approximately) respectively. Almost everyone gets placed in a good company. If you are research-oriented, you can aim for higher studies.

Overall, it is a good college with well-qualified teachers and the best facilities.

Placements: Placements in our college were very good. Almost all the students who prepared for placement drives got placed. Most of the students were offered the roles of software engineers. Many reputed companies like Amazon, JP Morgan, Microsoft, etc., visit the campus for placements. Almost 80% of the students got internships. The average salary package offered was 18 LPA. IIT, Varanasi is totally worth it.

Placements: Almost 70% of all the students appearing for placements got jobs. The lowest salary package offered was about 4 lacs per annum while the highest was 40 lacs per annum. The average was about 10-12 lacs per annum. All those who wished to get a placement were able to score placements while only the insincere students were the ones left behind.

A good college with old infrastructure but amazing opportunities.

Placements: Placements are booming with the whole batch of CSE and ECE branch getting placed this year. Doesn't mean other branches lag behind. The software profile companies are booming whereas other students prefer core and either sit for Placements or opt for higher studies.

Placements: For our batch placement was Average. Almost 50 % students were placed from mining department. Although other students managed to get job through our alumni contacts before passing out from the campus. The highest package was in the range of 15 LPA. Average would be around (7-8)LPA. Most of the students were placed in non core jobs. If you are very good in coding then there are lots of good companies which are open for mining also. Placements: There were 56 students in the last batch of B.Tech which just passed out. Among them, 40+ got placed through placement cell IIT (BHU) Varanasi. So I can say around 70 % students of the batch were placed. The highest Package was offered by Myntra which was 27.5 Lac Per Annum (LPA) as a software developer. Minimum was 5.8 LPA Average package lied around 8.3 LPA Companies Visited - Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Myntra, Mastercard, Google, Oracle, Flipkart, Amazone, Reliance, TCS, Vedanta and many more...

Placements: Placement in Mining branch is not extraordinary. This year placement was better than previous year. The highest package in core was about 13 lacs by Hindustan Zinc Limited. Many students got placed in non-core companies including Oracle and Goldman Sachs. So, the average package offered in Mining branch was around 10 lacs.

Other companies like IOCL, Flipkart, Myntra, Paytm, Bajaj, Tata, etc. Recruited students from core as well as non-core field! Placements: The placements of our college are good in the non-core sector, but core companies avoid visiting as the students getting placed and leave the job after 2 to 3 years, but scope in non-core is very good. This year around 600 students were placed in non-core companies and companies were searching for students.
