Placements: If I tell about the placement in the ceramic department of IIT-BHU then I have to say that the placement percentage is average. If I tell about the placement's percentage in non-core then it is above 80% who got the placement but the placement in the core is approx 10%- 20%. The placement in the core is low, the main reason is the lack of companies and the other reason is that students don't want jobs related to ceramic. Their aims and their goals are non-core. If I tell you about the salaries, ...
Placements: The placement opportunities in IIT, BHU are very good. Almost every one of our senior batch got placed. The highest package offered was 15 LPA and the lowest package offered was 5 LPA. Various companies come to visit our campus. The roles offered by the company depends on the course that you have chosen. Almost all the students got internship from the college. The highest stipend paid was 10 KPM and the lowest stipend paid was 1 KPM.
Placements: They were excellent and the maximum package was 27 LPA. The lowest was 4.5 LPA. Many students were able to get placements of more than 10 LPA. Most of the students were placed in software companies. More than 85 percent of the students were placed. Some students do not sit for placements as they want to prepare for civil services or other competitive examinations.
Placements: Overall, placements of college are good. Students who have an interest in coding and analysis have a good package but students opting for the core industry have to do a lot to get a job with a satisfactory package. Around 55% students go for coding and analysis and the rest go in core or higher education. Almost 80% students get a job. The highest package is above one crore, the average package is about 12 lac rupees and the minimum is about 3 lac rupees. Less number of internships are offered o...
Placements: Placement was good this year. According to seniors, overall placement was around 70% in which 40 percent were in core and others in non-core. On the very first day, 3 students were placed in Oracle with 28L package. The average was around 8-10L. Coal India gave around 10L.
Placements: Among 80 BTech students, 78 were placed with a minimum package ranging around 6 lakh and a maximum of 30 lakh. 30 lakh was secured by 4 students. Average package ranges around 13 lakh. Last year, it was 12.4 lakh and the highest was 28 lakh. Also, the minimum package last year was 6 lakh. In 2017, as always, software companies were the majority recruiters. Consultancies and marketing companies also visited the campus. PSUs like CIL and IOCL also visited the campus, recruiting 5-6 and 3-4 guys r...
Placements: Well, people have heard about packages from IIT BHU, in crores, but the fact is that only a few people get that high class job, and these are the students who are responsible for increasing the average placement, though placement here is still fine. It depends upon your field, you can easily get a 10 lac package if you study hard, but don't get sad about it. Companies initially have to invest a large amount of time and money to train the freshers, that's why they can't take the risk of offering ...
Placements: The placements are quite good for other departments compared to my department. All the computer science engineering students have been placed well compared to other branches. On an average, 70-80% students have been placed well. The highest package is 33 LPA, 6 LPA is the lowest and the average is 15 LPA. Many companies from various parts of India have visited for recruitment like Google, Oracle, Eaton, Paytm, Jio etc. The students have been offered the roles of project managers, system analyst,...
Placements: Particularly in my department(civil), I don't know why but less number of core companies came for placements. That is why there is a high competition for the core field. But in other fields like coding, analyst, consultant, marketing and others fields, options are there. The majority of the civil department students got placed in these fields. Those have low CPI. They have also very good chance to grab a job in any of these fields. Almost 45-55% students got placed from the civil department. Alm...
Placements: There are good placements and almost 75% of students in all branches get placed. The maximum students in the electrical engineering batch take up jobs in the non-core sector. The maximum salary for electrical last year was 30 lacs in PayTM while the lowest salary offered was 6 lacs. The average salary obtained was 12 lacs.
Placements: The placements are going well. After observing 3-4 years of placement data, we can say that the percentage placement of the student is approx 200%. Here, approx 450 companies come for the placement of the students. Some of the companies are of non-core field (as: finance, banking, software, consultant, analytics etc.). Approximately 40% of students got the internship from this college. The highest stipend is 7 lacs for 2months, the average is about 10,000 for 2 moths and lowest is 0 rupees for 2...
Placements: Starting from the placements of our seniors batch, the batch was 100% placed. Only M.Pharma people get 100% placements. The packages offered may be low, but the job is assured. The highest package was 7.2 lacs in Akash Institute, and the lowest was 3 lacs in Lupin Pharma. The companies which visited campus for the pharma people include, Novartis, Akash Institute, Jubilant, Dr Reddy's Labs, Sun Pharma, Evalueserve, Valuedge, Emcure, Mylan and Lupin. All the students are GPAT qualified, so 100% st...
Placements: The placement for my (2017) batch has been good. In the first placement drive starting from 1st December to 14th December, 30 students out of the 48 registered students got placed. Overall, 35 students have been placed till now. The scenario is similar to the last year. But, this year, more students (23) are placed in the core sector. The highest package offered is 13.5 lacs per anum in hand by CitiCorp, the lowest one is 5.5 lacs per annum by Tata Motors and the average package is 7.1 lacs per ...
Placements: Placement is decent. Almost all students were placed. The average package is 14 lakh. The highest varies each year. The past year it was 30 lakh. Generally, the jobs offered are in areas of both core and non-core. But non-core has more attractive package Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sach, PSUS, Texas etc. are some of the companies that visited. Generally, 50-60 % students got an internship from the college campus. The stipend ranges from 50k to 100k. ...
Placements: Placements for my batch were average. Approx. 70-75 students were placed out of 115 in my branch. Most of them chose non-core jobs over core chemical jobs. This college has an awesome hostel and campus life, although it needs renovation. Some professors are very good, others need to change. The course curriculum needs little changes for few branches. Life at IIT BHU is simply wonderful. There is low level security for students, so more and more security guards are required. There is a lack of proper management for the events organized. Still, it's better than most of the colleges. .
The cons: The academic pressure is very less and there are no surprise quizzes. No challenging questions are asked in examinations. The notes of teachers were sufficient to grab an "A" grade. You need to be self-motivated all the time. IIT campus is smaller as compared to other IITs but BHU campus is too good. Weather is extreme in both summers and winters. No campus life for girls after 8pm. Very few research activities go on in the college. Courses offered to students is obsolete. Pros: Exc...
