Value for money and brand, but seeing it dissolve day by day owing to several factors.
Placements: 100% placement, as claimed, is not a myth. With the inclusion of aptitude, skill development, and humanities courses for competitive exams integrated with the regular curriculum and exams, it paves the way for at least one guaranteed job after course completion. There are also curated guides and batches for cracking different national-level tests, and with sincere effort from one's own side, there is ample opportunity to earn decent-paying jobs as companies like IBM also conduct on-campus recruitment.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are just up to par but nevertheless very helpful and approachable in case of any difficulties. There is a 24x7 open library with not-so-strong Wi-Fi connectivity and classrooms, okay? From 2nd year onward, labs are good enough for students to carry out every experiment hands-on with care. The college provides an extensive package of resources to its students, like books, LinkedIn Learning Premium, MATLAB, LTSpice, and a lot of Microsoft services.
Faculty: The curriculum is designed in a way to ensure the perfect balance between what is necessary and what gives an extra edge to make students stand out from the crowd. Since 2023, it has followed the basic outline given by Makaut, with modifications as and when needed. Professors are motivating and supportive; some of them, mostly the senior ones, are very knowledgeable in their domain. Never have I seen a class be missed or go vacant, irrespective of the attendance. Semester exams have quality questions where the final set of questions is put together by computer software from the question bank prepared. If classes are followed properly, it should not be a big deal to score 9–10 in every subject with the minimal amount of study hours every day. It is difficult to get backlogs unless the case is that one has attended absolutely no classes throughout the semester. (Although that results in them getting debarred in the first place.) The exam environment is really strict, and the answers are evaluated with care. Overall, it definitely prepares one for the corporate world.
Other: CSE batch is the strictest faculty-wise, while ECE is the most lenient, as of what I have seen. The ECE curriculum is the vastest, though. I changed departments on the basis of my first-year academic performance. There is plenty of room for exploring one's own areas of interest and passion and honing their skills. The dedicated innovation lab that feels like a creative space at some big firm, some or the other technical, cultural, sports, and other events going on every week—no exaggeration. Different societies have talented and friendly seniors to collaborate and grow your network, which helps immensely through the 4 years and ever after. The only thing lacking is a campus large enough to conduct a proper cultural festival. Techfests are good to go. It is located more at the college level, as the name suggests, and is very well connected to the remotest of places via buses and metro. There are three campuses, one for the 1st year B Teach, MBA, and mechanical engineering disciplines; one for 2nd–4th year engineering students; and the other for BCA and BBA students, all in close proximity. Of course, there is no place for ragging in a reputed private institution like this. Expect no misconduct, safety-wise. The only thing concerning me is the quality of students and the approach IEM has taken for conducting its admissions (after becoming autonomous to IEM Newtown (formerly UEM Kolkata), no admission from JEE Main, and a scanty number of admissions from WBJEE). The only exam being promoted is IEMJEE (after building a reputation for decades). There is a fund that grants scholarships to needy and deserving students every semester. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to IEM for supporting my education without disruption with the IEM Alumni Scholarship (a 50% fee waiver for the 4th semester in my case). I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to pay back the value in the future. There is also a TFW quota for financially needy students at the time of admission itself.

Good placement and competitive environment.
Placements: Almost 95% of the Computer Science branch and 90% of overall students get placed on campus. Top recruiters here are TCS, WIPRO, Cognizant, Infosys, PWC, Delloite, etc. The highest package was 79 LPA this year and the lowest was 3.36 LPA. Overall, placement is above average here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is small but it provides all facilities. It has a library which is open 24*7*365 and an AC canteen, basketball court, table tennis court and max of labs have AC facilities but classrooms (except MBA and M.Tech) do not have AC.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very skilled and well qualified. Most of the faculty members are from Jadavpur University NITs and IITs. We have 3 exams per semester (2 mid-semester and 1 end sem), and the quality of education is up to the mark to crack any service-based companies. Very good competitive environment because most of the students here are top rankers of WBJEE and JEE Main.

This college is only for placement not for college life.
Placements: CSE (AI) started in 2021 first time in this college. But the placement percentage of CSE is more than 95%. The highest package of this college is 79 Lacs in Google (off campus) and 44 Lacs (on campus). The lowest package in this college is 3.36 Lacs by TCS Ninja. The average package of CSE in this college is approximately 5.5 Lacs.
Infrastructure: In this college, only one demerit is the infrastructure of this college. Total infrastructure of this college is 3 acres which is very less than any other college as well as any West Bengal college. Library, labs, and classroom are average, not very bad. The hostel is not good, you can go for PG (paying guest).
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and highly knowledgeable. Some teachers have very good teaching qualities and some have not. The semester exam is not very difficult. If you start studying before 2 weeks of exam, you can easily get more than 9 CGPA. I think the passing percentage is 40 %.

Average placements, infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Decent placements if you want to get placed in mass recruiting companies. Top recruiting companies are Tcs, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini and Cognizant. Most of the students get placed provided they study well. The highest on campus package is from Oracle, i.e. 16.64 lacs while the lowest is 3 lacs.
Infrastructure: On campus, unlimited Wi-Fi is available. Library is great where you can get all the books required for the semester. Classrooms are just okay. Labs are not too big, but just do the job. Since the campus is small, being in the middle of sector 5 is okay.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good while some are just okay. Teaching quality is not too great. It is just like that of any other college. You will have to devote your time top self-study. Semester Exams are easy and if someone even studies for one-two weeks before exams you can easily perform well.
