IEM Kolkata Review - Good College in terms of Placement.
Placements: The average package in our college is of 5LPA and the highest is around 19LPA. Oracle has offered the highest package. Accenture has offered around 150 students full time offers. Other companies which visit our campus include PwC, IBM, eQTechnologic and Bentley.
Infrastructure: The facilities available in our department are very good. Wi-fi is available throughout the campus. Classrooms are well lit. Library is open 24*7 whole year. Library also has desktops that can be used if you want to learn things online. All the departments have their separate labs.
Faculty: The teachers are very much helpful and supportive in nature. Some of the professors have done PhDs. The course curriculum is very much relevant as we are taught all the subjects that are required from job perspective. Semester exams are not hard. You can get good marks if you study a little bit.
Other: I have chosen this course I have interest in IoT. The best thing is that our syllabus is updated. There are certain events that happens in our college. The college provides scholarships to students in need. I have got Rs 13000 of scholarship from the college.

It is an average college.
Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 45 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Adobe, etc. Our college provides internships in IEMLabs and IEDC Lab. Only a very few companies provide internships.
Infrastructure: Our college provides hostels for girls and boys. All hostels are far away from our college. The distance between the boys' and girls' hostel is much far. The hostel provides Wi-Fi. The quality of the food is average. Medical facilities are available in our college. The hostel has strict rules and regulations.
Faculty: Faculty members are average. Some faculty members are cooperative. They motivate you towards your goals. The teaching quality is average. They won't focus on practical knowledge. They teach us theory. Some faculty members try to give their efforts and make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not very difficult.

The Real Truth of IEM - Good or Bad?
Placements: As you all know IEM is the best college for placement in Eastern India among all private institution, about 50 to 60 MNCs comes to the college during placement, and also the college guarantees placement till the last candidate is placed. The minimum package offered is 3.5Lks/y while the highest is roughly between 40-60Lks/year.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, labs, and library are well connected with Wi-Fi. The library has a vast amount of books and also new books are available on demand. And labs are well infrastructure. The canteen is there and the food quality is also good. But along with the positives, there are negatives. The college doesn't have a ground and the infrastructure only consists of a single building. No place to enjoy your college life. For 4 years we have to bear all that just for the opportunity that the college provides after that.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely good and helpful. Also, they have a friendly attitude towards the students IEM is affiliated with MAKAUT but still, it is an autonomous body. The college Sets its own question papers which you all know will be tough because the college wants that all the students study hard. If you are going to get admitted to this college you have to keep one thing in mind, there will be no chance of cheating in the exams you have to study hard to get and score marks.

Review of Institute of Engineering and Management.
Placements: 100% of students got placed. The highest package is 72 LPA, the lowest package is 3.46 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. Companies like Accenture, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, IBM, Uber, Google, Swiggy, Amazon, Myntra, Airtel, Jio, HCL, Cisco, SAP, Mindtree, etc., came here. A lot of students got internships in Amazon, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our campus is much smaller or only for study purposes. AC facilities are available but only in some classes. Wi-Fi is provided, but the speed is not up to the mark. The library is very useful. You can get online study materials, novels, and research papers.
Faculty: Some of the faculty are excellent. The decorum of college will prepare you for your higher studies as well as your future in the industry. The level of semester exams is quite high. You have to study hard and prepare well to succeed.
Other: The infrastructure could have been better, and I think the faculty members could have been better. The certification processes like webinars and activities are conducted here. But they organise them at the wrong time.

It is a good college for one to have a great future.
Placements: 100% of students got placed. The highest package offered was 72 LPA, the lowest package was 3.36 LPA, and the average package was 7.82 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, HCL, Capgemini, GE, Amazon, Airtel, Google, Swiggy, Uber, Zomato, IBM and many others come here. A lot of students get internships in big companies like Amazon, Infosys, Capgemini etc. As a software or web developer, AI and ML engineers etc.
Infrastructure: The library is very useful and very big, but Wi-Fi is much slower. Labs could have been much better. The infrastructure of rooms in the hostel is very good, but the food remains average as others. The classrooms are old. It could have been better.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are very good, and you just have to find them. But you have to study on your own instead of thinking that you will have a great placement as it is a big college. The difficulty level of exams is quite high. If you want to get some good marks, then you have to study hard. A lot of projects will be given to you each semester, and you have to deal with them and create them along with your semesters.
Other: If you have an interest in computers and coding and if you are creative with a great mindset, then you must choose the same branch as I've done, it's CSE. The college focuses only on studies.
