Review of Jeppiaar Engineering College.
Placements: About 15 students from our course got placed. I am not working, and I am still studying. Many companies visit our college for placements. I don't know about the salary offered to the students. About 70% of the students got an internship. It conducts industrial visit for the students in every semester. Our college is one of the best colleges in Tamil Nadu. In the previous year, our department students got placed in companies like Infosys, HCL, Amazon and in many core companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in our college are very good. Our labs are air-conditioned, and more computers are available. Many lush green areas are available in our college.
Faculty: Staffs members of our college are very good and friendly. We like our staff members very much. They are very close to our class students and me. Our HOD is a very good person, and he teaches many things to us. He is one of the role models for many students. Our course curriculum is the best. Our teachers are the best.

Theoretical academics. With good CGPA you will enjoy good placements in IT.
Placements: Placements were good 3 years back, but based the on market requirement the placement record has gone down. If you really want to excel, you must learn to orient the application part that is taught theoretical yourself. During 2015 the highest package was around 5L minimum around 2L. Infosys and Wipro are the main recruiters, few others used to take part as well.
Infrastructure: Smart class learning system, only if you have played for state or at least divisional you will enjoy good sports support from management, library has decent collection of books. But academics is purely bookish. You will enjoy the food in the campus. 4 days non veg and 1 day veg. You ll have fish once in a week. Also you have canteen for snacks and juices.
Faculty: Few really great faculty with industrial experience, Whole of Anna University curriculum needs to be updated to cope with advancement. Quality of teaching can't be said it's excellent but decent, but anyway students used to learn on their own. We did get industrial experts talking to us and visiting company, that's One good thing happened in college years. Course curriculum is ancient, need to be more advanced to get in line with the latest technology.
Other: Excellent cultural day events, symposium.

The college provides decent placements and has quality staff.
Placements: We can expect placements but not as many as our seniors got. You need to get above 8 CGPA to attend placements. The core companies are very less. A lot of IT companies visit the campus. We can expect more placements in the pool drives, where all the students of Jeppiar College and other colleges like St.Joseph, SSR, etc., join us. The college provides placement classes from 2nd year. Companies visit the college from the 3rd year of a batch.
Infrastructure: The college has a pretty good infrastructure but needs a lot of improvement. You can get decent food in both the hostel and college. In the rainy season, water slogs in many places but not in the hostel. The campus is calm with a lot of greenery. All the places are clean and neat. Separate bathroom and toilet are provided for each room in the hostel, so we don't need to wait in queue for our needs.
Faculty: The faculty are quite experienced and have good knowledge, but don't expect as in SSN or IIT. We can learn the subjects in detail. All the courses are provided with separate labs and equipment, which makes learning easier. The faculty are friendly with students from 2nd year. In 1st year, the faculty were very strict, but from 2nd year, they are friendly and clear our doubts immediately.
Other: The campus is in-between a river and Amazon forest, but it is quite decent. Quality of food is good. Non-veg meals are provided for 4 days a week.

Average placements. Above average infrastructure. Good faculty.
Placements: Around 20-30 companies come for placements, among which, most are IT companies including Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. Around 30-40% of the students only get through the placements though they are given very good placement training. The package is around 2-3.5 LPA. The role offered is that of a software engineer. You cannot except many core companies. Only a handful of core companies visit Jeppiaar which rarely recruit students. Internships are not that encouraged. Instead of stipends, most students pay for internships.
Infrastructure: The labs and classrooms are very good. Classrooms are spacious. The labs have all the required equipment and in required quantity. The library is very large and one can get all the textbooks prescribed by Anna University. Sports are much encouraged in the college but hostellers are mostly given preference. The mess is very large where they serve both veg and non-veg all days except Friday. The food quality is above average. The hostel is also very good but no AC and has Wi-Fi. You don't get Wi-Fi inside the college since mobile, laptops, and other electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the classrooms.
Faculty: All the faculty members are well educated most of them are PhD holders. But their standard of their teaching is not up to the mark. They prefer local authors due to which the students become bookworms. But they cannot be blamed since most engineering colleges prefer local authors these days. They take you for an industrial visit every semester but the visit is to one of the Jeppiaar industries which are not at all useful.

One of the top engineering colleges in Chennai
Placements: Placements were drastically increased for our batch when compared to the previous batch and it was further better for the next batch. Many top IT firms visited our campus for the placements. Most of the eligible students got placements in top companies through the campus interview.
Infrastructure: A huge campus with all the required infrastructure needed for all the courses offered by the college. Separate labs for all the courses and subjects are there. Every lab has modern computers and is fully air-conditioned. Each class is provided with a projector and a speaker and so teachers can teach much effectively.
Faculty: Decent faculty members. Most of them with PhD and many doing their PhD. The course is rigorous and many assessment tests are conducted to the students. The college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and the same course is followed. Many electives are offered to the students.
