Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

The infrastructure was above average and the technical quality was also good.
Placements: More than 50% got placed. The highest package was 3.75 lpa. Persistent Solutions was the top recruiter. No information on internship. Software developer was the top role offered. Most of the companies that came in our year for Electronics and Communication were not for our stream. All were IT companies.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi. The above-average infrastructure of labs and classroom. Not so good food quality was available in the cafeteria. Safety facilities were good. There were adequate computers available and lab equipment too. During my time, the college was under construction, till the time we left it was mostly completed.
Faculty: The teaching staff was qualified and helpful and the technical quality was also good. The course curriculum was relevant. There was an adequate number of teachers available for the subjects in all the streams. And they had a good hold on it as well as a good idea about the exams and future related to the subject.

The infrastructure and management are good.
Placements: Placements for the students of our senior batch were good, but the placements for our batch are moderately good. Around 60% of the students were placed in our batch. The salary package offered was 1 LPA to 4 LPA. Companies like Infosys, HCL, Persistent, InfoCepts, Oracle, and L&T visited our campus to conduct placements. They offered roles in the computer engineering sector.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was also good. The environment in our college is the best. Facilities like Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, labs, and medical facilities are available on the campus. I would rate the quality of classrooms and labs as 8 out of 10. I didn't face any issues in the college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful, well-trained, knowledgeable and highly qualified. The quality of teaching is good. They teach with the help of practical examples and presentations. Even the tests were conducted for the improvement of students.

Simply awesome in all aspects.
Placements: The placements were good as usual, most of the students were placed. The highest packages were offered. Companies like Persistent, Infocepts have visited. After graduation, they give many opportunities for placement. It is a merely good college for good and average students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is remarkable. All the facilities are available in our college, and they are good. Labs are available for all the departments. They are well furnished, and all the instruments are available. The canteen is much better as compared to the other colleges, and the food is also hygienic.
Faculty: Teaching techniques of all the staff were mindblowing. Even boring or tough subjects were made easier and interesting by the way of teaching. The teachers are not only professors, and they are like parents and friends. The teaching methods were superb. There is no need to take classes outside. The industrial visits are planned every semester.
Other: Events and fests like jallosh as a cultural event and shikhar as technical fest are the heart of JIT. Also, many extracurricular activities are organised. Celebrities have also come to our college.

B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2014

An engineering college with a difference considering the faculty, infrastructure and management.
Placements: The placements for 2014 as well as the senior batch were not good. You are allowed to participate in the off-campus drives for some good companies like Infosys, L&T, TCS, etc. But, they expect the students to be good in coding, good knowledge of languages like Java, C programming. So, if you need to get into an IT company, and you are not from CS branch, do learn some coding, it will help you a lot during placements. But, the competition is very high as the number of students will be large. The college has a good training and placement cell which is trying hard for student placements, but till now, I cannot see any good placement record from the college. The companies that visited the campus are mostly for BPO or support jobs offering an average package of 1.2-1.5 LPA which I think being a BE graduate, is not good for both professional as well as financial growth.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good with all the required amenities like good labs, Wi-Fi campus, library, auditorium, basketball court, canteen, etc. The quality of labs and classrooms is also good. The food quality of canteen is average, but it depends on the vendor who keeps on changing. Though I did not stay in a hostel, I have been there many times, and it is quite good. During my 4 years in the college, I did not face any infrastructure issue as such.
Faculty: The faculty of JIT are the best you may find in any college (based on the discussion with my friends from the various colleges). They are very experienced with the great teaching skills. They are very helpful and are easily available for doubt clearance. There are batches of 60 students. The industry exposure is not that much. Also, the course curriculum is the one given by the university, so the college has no role in that. But, they do encourage you to do something extra especially our principal Dr Limay sir, who always encourages students to explore something new.
Other: You will get chance to participate in various inter-college as well as national level college events. All the events are organised with great energy and enthusiasm. The connectivity to the college is also good. The campus is surrounded by open grassland which makes it a peaceful place for learning. There are various scholarships available, and you may get all the required details from the admin desk.

The best features include faculty, SSD that handles all queries, A/C campus etc.
Placements: Students who were involved in many extracurricular activities and have a good record received placements with 12 LPA, and the average package was about 2 Lacs per annum. Almost everyone with good English speaking skills and a decent record got placed.
Infrastructure: The highest-quality classrooms with the latest technologies like smart boards, and high-quality labs with computers, a decent and well-decorated library with all the business, commerce-related books, are available. Air-conditioning is available on the whole campus, and that is a major plus during summer.
Faculty: Kind, friendly and professional teaching faculty are available, who make the college decorum very pleasant. Visits to industries and other places make the students familiar with the practicality of their degree. I recommend this college to others who are looking for colleges that are laid back and promote personal and career growth.
