A:
{Source: B.A. LL.B. (Hons) students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what stands out:

Pros:

* Excellent faculty: Reviewers praise the teachers' qualifications, helpfulness, and willingness to assist students.
* Good infrastructure: Although the campus may not be massive, it has a suitable setup, including a library, digital library, common rooms, and Wi-Fi-enabled labs.
* Affordable fees: With an annual fee of Rs. 2,400, JCCLC is considered an affordable option for law education.
* Internship opportunities: The college provides opportunities for students to gain practical experience through internships in legal firms and courts.
* Scholarships: The college offers various scholarships to deserving students.
* Student Union: The Student Union provides additional resources, such as study material and notes, making it easier for students to manage their academic workload.
* Campus life: Despite lacking a hostel, the campus has a lively atmosphere, with frequent events, festivals, and extracurricular activities.

Cons:

* Limited placements: Unlike some other institutions, JCCLC does not have a dedicated placement cell, leaving students to find employment themselves.
* Infrastructure limitations: While the campus has a basic setup, reviewers mention that it could benefit from improvements.
* No placement guarantees: Students must be proactive in securing jobs, as the college does not provide guaranteed placements.

Verdict:

JCCLC seems to be a suitable choice for those interested in pursuing a B.A. LL.B. (Hons) degree. Its strong faculty, relatively affordable fees, and internship opportunities make it an attractive option. However, students should be aware of the limited placements and potential infrastructure shortcomings. By taking initiative and leveraging available resources, students can still achieve success.

It is the best government law college in Kolkata.
Placements: Our college does not provide placements. But we are eligible for internships if we have a valid college identity card. It is the best government law college in Kolkata and getting admission in this college is difficult.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not available. Classrooms are very spacious. There are two libraries in this college. Canteen is available. We do not have a great infrastructure but it provides a student-friendly environment. Wi-Fi is not enabled.
Faculty: Our college has a student's union where the members are the students of this college. Our college union is very helpful as compared to teachers. They also provide us with all the study materials required for our course.
Other: Our college union arranges cultural programs, fests, farewells, and many other events.

It is the best government law college.
Placements: Our college does not provide any placements. Almost 60-65% of students got internships in legal firms under the advocacy of West Bengal and it increases every year by 2-3%. Internships are very useful to gather experience but there is no placement cell which is a drawback.
Infrastructure: There is no specific hostel in this college. However, there are places nearby where you can live on rent. The infrastructure of our college is better. A canteen, common game rooms, air-conditioned digital library, and reading room are available. Our college is very old so the infrastructure looks outdated.
Faculty: Teachers are very highly educated and their behavior is good. Everyone is very supportive and will help students every time. The best thing about this college is that all teachers take individual care and communicate with students personally. There are ten semesters in this course. Each semester has external and internal exams. The internal exam is for 20 marks and the external exam is for 80 marks.
Other: Events are organised in this college. Fests, social, Independence and Republic Day celebration, Saraswati Puja, freshers, farewell are conducted in this college. NCC and NSS are also held for students.

Best government law college.
Placements: Best government law college out of the four government law colleges in Kolkata. You get internships in courts. Workshops, campaigns, debates, and moot courts take place. Some of the ex-students are now in the top NLUs and some have been judges in the high court.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility provided by our college. You need to rent a p. g nearby. The college provides a library, classrooms are very big and spacious. We have morning college which is a big savior in the summer season. 75 percent attendance is important for sitting in the examination.
Faculty: The teachers along with the seniors are very helpful. The college union provides us with notes and necessary study material. College fees are too less compared to private colleges. The college provides scholarships and takes out excursions. This college is under the University of Calcutta.

It is a well-known college for law.
Placements: Our college provides placement after the completion of graduation and in a quite good percentage. Many companies like TCS, Amazon, etc., offer jobs here. Overall, if you want a placement, then join this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not up to the mark. The location is quite near bus, metro, and train stations. So it is good. The inner infrastructure is somewhat old and not of this generation. If the infrastructure is not a huge point for you, then you can join it.
Faculty: Faculty members, curriculum, and exams are good here. You have to work hard. Teachers are good as compared to other colleges. You can choose the course according to your needs. This college is mainly for law, but there are also other courses. The teachers and students are good and friendly.
Other: Everything is quite good. The only thing it should improve is its infrastructure.

Best law college in West Bengal after NUJS.
Placements: There is no placement in the college. Intern can earn from 0 to 10,000. Most of the students choose litigation. Very few can opt for judicial service, corporate office. This college is under Calcutta University. No college under Calcutta University offers placement. If you want placement in a law firm, then choose NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY. But opting for this college doesn't mean you will not get placement, you have to work extra smart than others. But the college is the best in the state after NLU. And, if you want to learn about the income, then I would like to let you know. A litigation lawyer can earn more than Lacs a month with just 5+ years of experience. It matters on your capability.
Infrastructure: Overall, good infrastructure. The classroom is decent enough. Good enough Library stock. There is a reading room. It is the main part. Wi-Fi enabled campus. The canteen facility is available. Some indoor game facilities are also available like carrom, table tennis. Overall, a good campus is a government college.
Faculty: In one word best faculty. But, as usual, all are not good. Even some prefer to teach on regional language. Though all the curriculum is in English. The course curriculum is okay according to me but needs to be improved. No realistically saying. No law college makes you prepare for industries. You have to work yourself for that. But NLU is better.
Other: No hostel facility is available in college. You have to opt for mess or private accommodation. The social situations make me think of Law as a career. 5 years of law courses are better than 3 years. You get more time. The best thing about the college is the senior and faculty members are very helpful. College students union conduct Cultural functions. There is not a great chance of mooting, debating, the college is in middle of the Kolkata so, it's well connected. The state government has some scholarships for West Bengal students.

It is a government college, so first, it conducts an entrance test for students.
Placements: Our college doesn't provide placements as it is more oriented towards judiciary and advocate rather than corporate life. About 60% of the students from our course got an internship in legal firms under the advocacy of West Bengal.
Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like huge hall type classrooms, common room, canteen, computer lab, Wi-Fi facility and other necessary facilities. There are ample facilities which are necessary for a law college. It is a government college, so it does not provide hostel facility for students.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are excellent. They are well-qualified and helpful. Students are satisfied with the teachers.
Other: Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College is a government college, so it charges a very low fee that is Rs. 2,400 in a year, which is an affordable fee for every student of the low or upper level.
