It is a good place to study with good surroundings.
Placements: The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA offered by Oil and ONGC, and the less salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. TCS, Infosys, and Wipro are the other small companies offering placements in our college. Oil India Limited also selected students from our college and 30% from our class. Assistant manager job in Assam Electrical Generation limited was the role offered.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure. Hostels are available for boys and girls and are good. The library and auditorium are good in place and well-equipped with the latest technology and the latest books. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the connectivity is good. They have a decent speed and pings. Food quality is average in college hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent. They all are educated and well-behaved. They help students in every possible way. The course curriculum is relevant but not enough to be industry-ready. They need to emphasis more on industry and practicals. Semester exams are overall good and the pass percentage varies depending on the branches.
Other: You can play any game on campus.

The college provides us with good teaching and good knowledge in the field of engineering.
Placements: Placements in our college are average. About 20 companies visited our campus for conducting placement drives for our batch including all the departments. More than 80% of students got placed from all the departments. The average salary package offered was about 2.4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is said to be average compared to other engineering colleges. Classrooms and labs are in good condition. Medical facilities are not available, but some private pharmacies are there in the neighbourhood. The canteen serves good and hygienic food.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are good and some of them are friendly. They are highly educated and maintain discipline. TEQIP faculty members are also very helpful and encourage us to study hard. They also teach us with well explained and detailed theoretical concepts.

If you're looking for a good engineering college in Assam, you can choose this college.
Placements: Placements in our college are not satisfactory. But major PSUs like Oil ONGC, NRL, and Power Grid, etc., hires students from the department of instrumentation engineering. Other major recruiters such as Dabur, HUL, Wipro, and TCS, etc., hire students every year from our college. The college doesn't assure 100% placements, but if you are good at studies, you'll get a nice job.
Infrastructure: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the internet speed is almost 11 Mbps. Seminar halls are good, and our auditorium is newly constructed. We have 10 hostels; two among them are girls' hostels, and the rest of the 8 hostels are for boys. But the main issue that we face here is with water. Water supply is not that good. Even our laboratories are well-maintained.
Faculty: Our faculty members are from IITs, and they are experienced in public sector industries. However, only a few teachers are good at teaching. You can't have everything in one college. All the teachers are good and helpful. Our class hours are hectic and are from 8 am to 4 pm. You find very less time for studies.

College is boring because of the teachers and the environment
Placements: The percentage of placement in my college is low. The highest salary is around 18 lakhs per annum, the average is around 4 lakhs per annum and the lowest is around 18000 per month. The companies that have visited are Oil India limited, Godrej, Dalmia, Wipro, Eveready, etc. In placements of my senior batch, only 4 people were selected. The percentage of the internship is very low.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is old and has not been changed or repaired. Wi-Fi is available on the college campus. Labs are extremely outdated. Hostel rooms are just okay and not in a good condition. Classrooms are in a better condition than the others. Most of the buildings are old so I sometimes feel awkward studying here. The library is below standard. Water is a huge problem here and the availability of drinking water is hard to find. The quality of food in the canteen is worse and the infrastructure of the canteen is also in worse condition.
Faculty: Maximum of teachers here are worse and the relationship between student and teacher is in a bad state. Most teachers just repeat the same notes to the students. The teachers are the same from old times. The student to teacher ratio is around 30:1. We don't get any industry exposure and the course curriculum is not useful.
Other: The principal of our college is boring and her decision affects the students. The teachers misuse the power and fail any student if they dare to tell anything to them and we all live in fear. Most of the teachers are course-oriented and they are very bad in teaching.
