B.E. in Instrument Technology - Batch of 2017
Offered by JSS Academy of Technical Education

I am satisfied with the college because it provides good infrastructure and courses.
Placements: Around 90-92% of the students got placed from college. The highest salary package offered was around 6 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3.6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.9 LPA. Top recruiters of our college were Accenture and Cognizant. Around 70% of the students got internships into companies that offered core hardware jobs and manufacturing sectors. Top role offered was as a software developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was good. There was a lot of greenery. The library facility provided was good. The hostel was also newly built and was good. Extracurricular activities held were very interesting and enjoyable. Sports also was given importance. Fresh courts and game rooms were built. The canteen on the campus can be improved.
Faculty: A few teachers in our college were very well qualified. They were very reliable and friendly. However, a few teachers can learn more. The college should appoint faculty members with industry experience. Attendants were knowledgeable and helpful. The courses were good and up to the mark with a lot of practical knowledge.
Other: I opted for this course because it was interesting, and I am much interested in electronics. I wish the college improves the variety of subjects covered and add electives. JSS Academy of Technical Education conducted one of the good fests.

The college provides good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: My passing out batch is 2015-19. The top recruiting companies for our course are Yokogawa and Accenture. The average salary package offered was 3.50 LPA. Internships are part of the curriculum in VTU, so all students got internships in many different companies, including a few start-ups.
Infrastructure: The entire college has a good infrastructure, and a huge campus with a lot of trees. There are well-equipped laboratories and library with thousands of books for students to refer from, along with a digital library for online content. Free Wi-Fi facility is also available. Our college has been ranked as one of the cleanest colleges under VTU.
Faculty: VTU course curriculum is quite old and irrelevant, while the autonomous college has a curriculum based on the latest technologies. We studied the oldest curriculum at VTU, which is not useful on the industrial level as it includes all old technologies in theory, and they expect us to do a project of current technologies using the newer technologies. The course curriculum will be more helpful if they include more new things and then implement them in our project.
Other: JSS is best known for its fest called Verve. It is one of the best colleges fests in Bangalore and under VTU. I wish that the college should revise our course curriculum according to the latest trends in technology, which would be more helpful for the students. Extracurricular activities are always encouraged here.

Review of JSS ACADEMY OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION BANGALORE.
Placements: Not good for departments other than Computer Science engineering and information Science. Core companies don't visit the campus at all. No high package is offered to the students of this college. Package offered here are not more than 4lpa. Placement officer is really rude and not responding to students quarries.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is really to cool and peaceful. Not too crowded. Full of greenery throughout the campus. The classrooms are kind of old will cracks on the walls but there are 2 new buildings that are being constructed which would probably be better than the present ones.
Faculty: The faculty depends on the course you chose. The mathematical department is the best as far as I know. Also the electronics and communication engineering department has some very good teachers. But again, all the department have few inexperienced teachers which can not be avoided.
Other: The fest of this college is one of the BEST fests of Bangalore. Every year big celebrities are called for a music concert.

The best college for better people.
Placements: The placements are good, but you have to be well-prepared to face the interviews. The placements depend on how talented you are, and you should be able to know what the expects from you about 60 percent of the students get placed every year. You have to do the internships at your own risk. The highest package was 3.6 lakhs per annum. We
have also got a placement cell.
Infrastructure: The campus is very cool. You can find out greenery everywhere in the cool environment. Ragging and other stuff are not encouraged inside the college. You have a canteen in the campus, where you can chill out, and we have got basketball court, volleyball, cricket ground and have Wi-Fi facility around the entire college.
Faculty: When it comes to faculty as per my branch, the teachers are cool and helpful enough students in helping out them with learning. Some students might not be able to catch some things at their risks. The teachers to students ratio are 20:1. You can also have an industrial visit once in a semester.
Other: We have got our college fest which is known Karnataka's 3 rd largest fest VERVE, and there are other fests according to their departments.
