From Freshman to Fearless: My College Journey
Placements: I have enrolled in Instrumentation Engineering at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. The placement in my college is quite decent. Last year, the average package for the branch was 6 Lacs per annum, and it is improving every year. Very few students actually go into the core; most of them get into the software industry or opt for higher studies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, our college is one of the best in Bangalore. Our college provides all the basic requirements. It has football grounds, a basketball court, two to three big auditoriums, and labs with modern technology. Canteens are also available on the campus for students.
Faculty: The faculty members in the college are highly experienced and knowledgeable. They are all very friendly and always ready to help the students. Our course curriculum is designed according to the needs of society but still needs some improvement, such as the inclusion of topics like AI. Our college is autonomous, so exams are not difficult, and the passing rate is also quite good in all branches.
Other: The college is very good and provides opportunities for students. However, students also need to work hard to grab those opportunities. I hope that the induction of topics like AI will soon happen in our curriculum. Our college has many clubs that help students with their overall development.

Good college with decent placement.
Placements: The electronics and instrumentation engineering branch has many advantages. One can get into the IT field as well as the electrical field after completing this course. Many MNCs recruit students from this college with good packages. The highest package is around 20 LPA.
Infrastructure: This college is spread over many acres of land. We can see many branches inside a single campus. The labs are neat and clean and all the facilities are available. The quality of the food is good and many varieties are available. Sports and games have equal importance.
Faculty: Good and helpful faculty are there. They are highly qualified and are active throughout the day. The teaching quality is simply superb. Many students get placed in big companies after completing this course. Semester exams are easy to pass because the paper is set by the college itself.

The worst branch, bad college, a lot of fees, offering only college life and a lot of exposure.
Placements: In our branch, the placement percentage is very less. About 50% of the students get unplaced. They do not get a job from the college, and the branch itself is not that popular. So, in my opinion, the college is somehow okay, but the branch is not at all good. There is no market in India at this point of time for the electronics branch. The highest package was from, obviously, the CSE branch, and it was 54 LPA CTC. And the average of the CSE branch is about 8 LPA, and in our branch, it is about 4-5 LPA. Some companies are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, and all. All are mass-recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum and faculty members of our branch. They do not know anything and are just worried about the syllabus for exams. The portion is not completed. The portion is not completed, and all those who cry every time. I just hate this college. I will try to change my branch or will try for lateral entry into some other college.
Faculty: They are just normal teachers with basic knowledge and qualifications. They have teaching experience, but still, they don't know how to make things clear to students. Their teaching quality is okay. Instead, I would say nice, but the syllabus is relevant to us or irrelevant to real-life market problems. The semester is somehow manageable. There is no such issue in passing the exam. In internal examinations, the teachers only take out the questions which would be coming in the exams, saying they are some important questions.
Other: I chose this course by mistake. I intended to go to some other college's electrical branch whose placements were somehow decent, and also, DSCE was an option on my choice list. That is where I made the mistake and got allotted this branch at Dayananda Sagar College. Otherwise, the campus life is very nice here. There are a lot of people from every corner of the country and stay in diversity. There is no such caste or religion difference in the college, but sometimes yes, the Kannada people go against the northern people and have a fight out of nowhere. There is a fest in our college every year known as Vibration, and many more events take place. Almost every month, there are 2-3 big events going on, obviously except during semester exams. A lot of extracurricular activities take place inside the college campus. There are many clubs like dancing, singing, instruments, rap, beatbox, coding (that is tech and non-tech), social service clubs, mechanical clubs, and all.

My experience at Dayanand Sagar College.
Placements: Myself Haripriya. I recently joined Dayanand Sagar College in the year 2021. I chose the course Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. The highest package provided by this college is around INR 10 LPA to 15 LPA. We can work both in the electrical field and in the computer science field.
Infrastructure: As we already know, this college has beautiful infrastructure. I totally enjoy coming to this college every day. Every student refers to roaming around the campus rather than sitting at home. The hostels are very good and all the facilities are available here.
Faculty: This college has good faculty. The faculty of this college are highly qualified. They give full guidance to students in all aspects. This is a new course on the market and this course will surely make the students industry-ready. Sem exams are very easy to pass.

My amazing ongoing experience at Dayanand Sagar College.
Placements: Engineering has become a fashion nowadays. Most of the PUC students aspire to become engineers from a reputed college. The highest package provided by this college is around INR 20 LPAs. Internship opportunities are also provided but only during the final year.
Infrastructure: Every student who studies at this college will enjoy the infrastructure of this college. Classrooms are very big and each student is provided with a separate chair and desk. There is a huge library for this college, and most of the students study in the library itself.
Faculty: As we know, teachers in engineering colleges just read the presentation. This happens in this college also. But the teachers at this college help students in all aspects. They help with study materials, doing final year projects, etc. Since this college is deemed, semester exams are easy to pass.

There is a low chance of getting ECE in general merit category. She can try for instrumentation or other branches related to ECE. But keep first preference as ECE until the final round of CET allotment as she may get a seat if vacancy appears and luck is on her side.
