Review of KJ Somaiya College of Engineering.

Placements: My batch is a good batch and the course is very excellent. The placements are high at my college; the maximum package was 58 LPA in 2023. Even if you are in a lower branch, your salary package would be around 10 LPA and around 15 LPA average for a computer engineer.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very top-notch at my college. There is a very huge campus in Mumbai, which is quite rare to find. It's a whole 80-acre campus in Ghatkopar, Mumbai. And there are 4 to 5 different colleges on campus like for engineering, MBA diploma, junior college, etc.

Faculty: Faculty members are very nice to the students, which makes the college easy. They understand in times of difficulty and are there whenever needed. Most of the faculty members are quite talented. And the exams are sometimes tough and sometimes easy but they are prepared by the faculty only.

Placements: - I am in Second Year, as I heard, mostly 50%+ students were placed on-campus and remaining 20-30% in off-campus drives. - Top Companies: Microsoft, JPMC, DeepCytes, Barclays - Top Roles: Product Manager, Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, Software Development Engineer - The highest package: CTC 58 LPA - The lowest package: 4 LPA - Average package: 9.5 LPA - Median package: 7.5 LPA - Percentage of Students getting internships: (External only) 50%.

Infrastructure: Average Wi-Fi Speed, Non-AC Labs, Good Library - Not much idea about the hostel but multiple hostels are there, all large, PURE VEG CANTEEN & MESS, good medical facilities, lots of space to play sports and games, big ground, good gym, basketball court, squash court.

Faculty: Helpful and qualified teachers, knowledgeable to the extent they may help you out with basic queries, but the studying + advanced understanding and application part is up to you to do with help from friends/seniors, online material/courses. Average teaching quality. Relevant, up-to-date course curriculum. Makes students industry ready. -Moderately difficult semester exams, with a pass percentage of 65.

Dissatisfied with the placements this year, good campus and hostels, good exposure .

Placements: The placements are pretty decent for computer and IT branch. But for EXTC and other branches it is very hard for them to be placed. If you are from computer and IT, you can expect a package of 9-10 LPA, if you perform well and have the skills. Many companies that are in Fintech come to hire. But the placement percentage is decreasing year by year, don't know if it is due to recession or not.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. It is one of the biggest campus in Mumbai and the campus has everything that is needed. The sports and extracurricular activities are too good here. The hostel is good too. It has all the facilities and it is pretty decent. The Spandan and Maitreiy hostels are the best. The food offered in them and the services given are good. The Polytechnic hostels arena isnt that good enough but their fees is less too.

Faculty: The faculty members here are a mixed bag, some are very good to some are very mediocre. Curriculum is very much updated as compared to Mumbai University syllabus. And I love the curriculum here. The semester exams are a bit difficult so start studying before a week and everything would be fine. Here most of the students do get pass and very few get back .

Other: The crowd is decent here. There are various events and feats throughout the year from teach fests to cultural fests and seminars to programming talks, everything here is very good. Your campus life will be amazing here. The campus itself is very big and it has all the facilities. You would enjoy here.

Amazing college with a huge campus.

Placements: The highest CTC is 25 Lacs. The average CTC is around 9.88 Lacs. So the packages are very good and the companies are renowned. A few companies are Deloitte, Accenture, Infosys, etc. Last year 74 companies visited and 395 students were recruited. They provide for internships too within the campus during the semesters.

Infrastructure: The campus is so huge one might forget the way inside the college. It has various buildings for different courses inside the campus with a hostel and around 4-5 canteens within too. They have a cricket ground, basketball court, table tennis, badminton, etc. Within the campus. Every sport can be played within. They provide with a lot of facilities like library, reading room, gym, but the only drawback is no AC in classrooms.

Faculty: The teachers are pretty amazing and knowledgeable. You can approach them anytime and they will solve your doubts and queries. Teaching is done via projector and screen but they also use chalk and blackboard to further clarify the concepts. The course curriculum is very nice and they also provide for mini projects during the semester that makes a student industry ready. The exams are moderate level and if one has studied nicely it won't be difficult to score great marks.

Other: This college is pretty amazing. They organize a lot of events around the year which you can host and participate in. There are many clubs which you can join for singing, drama, dance, etc. There is a student council too which organises the events. They have a lot of greenery inside the college so it looks very pretty all round. There are various places you can sit and chill with your friends and have fun. Also for the events they call the big personalities so you can get a chance to SEE them too.

Honest Somaiya College Review.

Placements: Around 95 to 98 percent of students get placed every year. The highest package was around 50 LPA, with an average above 10 LPA. J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. is one of the top recruiting companies. Many students get internships at the end of their 2nd and 3rd years.

Infrastructure: Every classroom and lab has AC installed, with Wi-Fi accessibility all over the campus and a reading room facility also available. The polytechnic hostel is good; there are 4 students in each room with a separate table, cupboard, and attached and common bathrooms and washrooms. There is good hygiene and the food is good.
