Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

A good college if you have passion to become something - opportunities are there.
Placements: Around 40-50% of students are placed. The highest package, which was off-campus, reached INR 1 crore, while the lowest package is INR 2 LPA, and the average package is approximately INR 5 LPA. Many companies visit the campus, such as Volvo, Accenture, and others. There are many internship opportunities, including the chance to conduct research under the guidance of faculty members.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is much better compared to other colleges. It is well-maintained, with a clean and hygienic campus. Unlike other colleges with broken buildings, our college staff ensures the campus remains in excellent condition. I am truly impressed by the cleanliness and upkeep of the campus.
Faculty: The curriculum has been updated and is highly beneficial for students to prepare for the current market demands. Exams are conducted in minor and major formats, along with weekly quizzes based on prior learning. Practical knowledge is emphasized through 2-3 weekly labs. The college strongly focuses on hands-on learning, making students industry-ready.

I don't regret coming to this college.
Placements: Information technology jobs provide students with a promising career path. With each passing year, IT is undisputed King of engineering sector, raising enormous. However in our college the faculty members staff is very helpful and they prepare us by giving us exposure of industries and the package of it engineer in our college is approximately. More than 7 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is very good and the facilities for my IT department are damn good. There are many labs in IT department which gives practical knowledge to the students. There is Wi-Fi also and the classrooms are very clean as well as canteen has very nice food. But in library the books for general category is very limited the library reserved more books for SC/ST students which is not fair for us. We can't get the books we want.
Faculty: Yes, mostly faculty members are highly qualified as well as very helpful they always give us advice whenever students ask them. Yes the course curriculum is pretty challenging for the students. Students who want to pass the exams must be well prepared and also the syllabus is very competitive which tests the student's skill which makes the students industry ready.

Infrastructure is good but we don't have decent placement.
Placements: In our branch IT-IOT, the first batch passed out in the current year 2024 and the Internet of Things branch has a separate department so most of the companies are not allowing the IOT branch in their recruitment process. But 40–44% of students have been placed in it till now (8th semester) and most of them are doing internships. 10 LPA, 3.2 LPA, and 4 LPA are the highest, lowest, and average packages, respectively.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good; the infrastructural and lab facilities are improving day by day. Recently, the college has inaugurated a new boys hostel, an academic block, and a dron school on campus. Wi-Fi is not available for unlimited use but the lab has a LAN capable of internet access, and classes are very good. The college canteen is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and interactive and have good knowledge of the course. Students have different types of skills that are industry ready and IoT is a very interesting course. Semester exams are in offline mode and will be well-planned and structured. Almost all students pass the exam but some students have back-in exams.
Other: I chose IoT because it has huge potential for future or current industry technology. Not having any big events, but some small events are held every week.

Excellent college to study.
Placements: Overall placement of college is good. Average package of college is 8 lakhs and the highest is 1 crore per annum. Since Internet of things is a new branch there is no placement yet but this year companies will recruit our seniors. Approximately 80% students get good internship.
Infrastructure: The overall facilities and infrastructure of hostel are good. Mess food is good. Course is well designed to meet the industrial needs. College is well felicitated with Wi-Fi. Library is good it has good collection of books that is good enough for academic need.
Faculty: Faculty is good and well qualified. All faculty members are almost graduated and have done their Ph.D. from IITs. Faculty is very helpful and they are ready to help us in every possible way. Course curriculum is relevant and it is well designed to meet industrial needs.

The MITS : A detailed review.
Placements: The placements at our college are decent, but in FY 2022, in the IT field, there was a heavy recession. Because of this, college placements were affected and not many companies came here for placements. Only one MNC, Accenture, offered positions like software application trainee, and other companies like Kloudspot, Tiger Analytics, and Volvo also came. Most CS, IT, EC & ET, AIML, AIR, AIDS, and IoT branches get placements in lower branches; there are not many placement opportunities there. The average package is around 4–5 LPA and the highest in FY 2021 goes like 1 CPA (of course off campus) but on campus that is like 18–20 LPA. Internship opportunities are many at MITS and many students get internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent for MITS but the new building is very nice with excellent infrastructure, and its labs are amazing. The PCs were high-end PCs with I9 or 17 processors of the of the 12th generation, which is literally amazing. The Wi-Fi of MITS is worse, like they only give 34 MB to each student per day. The library is not a very big student hassle to get a seat in the library to study and books are also not available there; only old books are there. The canteen is also not big, with only one canteen and the quality of the food is not good.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very good; there are regular feedback forms taken from pass-out students and students who are studying, like what are market trends and what course you need. The faculty is also very good and knowledgeable and many professors have Ph.D.s, some of whom are from IITs and NITs. The faculty is very friendly and really helpful in doubts; they even help in your GATE preparation and motivate you.
Other: In MITS, there are not many cultural events and most events are academic and happen every month, There are also many clubs available like GDSC, IEEE, PES, IETE, DLG, etc. Scholarships are there like Medhavi yojana and OBC, SC, and ST institutes have scholarships there and the campus is also in the main city, so the railway station is like 3 km from MITS.
