Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful, highly knowledgeable, and highly qualified. The quality of teaching is good because they crack some jokes in between the lectures, which is the most favorite part of all students. This way, students can easily understand the topic. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready.

I am satisfied with the faculty, the infrastructure is good, and the placements are awesome.
Placements: Madras School of Economics has a record of 100% placements for the last 4 years. The average package offered was 9 Lacs per annum. The highest package went up to 15 Lacs, and the least was 6.5 Lacs per annum, last year. 90% of the companies are from South India. Companies like Deloitte, Accenture and PayPal visited the college to offer internships also.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. The college provides all the facilities. But, the only problem a student faces is the poor quality food. Specifically, the students from North India will not like the food. There is a playground for cricket and football, and also a volleyball ground is available.
Faculty: The faculty are very good and cooperative. All the teachers are well educated and knowledgeable. The students get good support from teachers every time. The teachers also focus on current issues. The student-faculty ratio is 45:1.

Infrastructure: The college has good facilities to girls, like hostels that are under cctv surveillance and the good security at the campus gate and outside is not allowed. The good classrooms and labs. library is well stocked. The infrastructure of the college is nice, with good buildings and sufficient classrooms and good washrooms, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified with PhDs and Masters in their subjects, the teachers are friendly to students and the teaching quality is good with concept-based teaching. The difficult of the semester exams are hard and the pass percent is around 80.

Totally satisfied with the college.
Placements: This college is known for placements in MA Economics. Since all the courses here are quantitative in nature, it attracts corporate field a lot. For my seniors, 85% were placed this year. It is the lowest in a few years because earlier its placements were more than 90%. Average package this year was 7.5 lakh p.a., lowest was 5.5lakh p.a. and the highest package went to 14 lakh p.a.
Infrastructure: College campus has a good building, big library and lab. Also, there are smart classes available in each class with projector and PCs in each class. Classes are of enough size and well ventilated. Wi-Fi is also there. Also, the college provides its own email ID and communicates through them. The canteen is of a smaller size but you can avail good quality pasta and juices. Hostel rooms are well ventilated as well and all the students are well attached to each other. There is a backup generator of high power which becomes very useful when unusual things happen. Like last year, a cyclone came. That time, it was helpful because all of Chennai had no power and no network.
Faculty: The course curriculum is quantitative in nature in all the courses. Faculty members are very helpful and knowledgeable. They take care of each student. The ratio is 35:1. The course curriculum helped me a lot in understanding the economic situation of India and also in the corporate internships which I recently completed.
Other: The college is located in a good location, so Adyar beach is very close where people go and hang out. Fees have increased in the last few years but still, it is providing quality education and better infrastructure. Inside the college, the campus life is extraordinary. People come together to celebrate every festival and also, social help like blood donation camp was also established this year. Our officiating director Sunder Ramaswamy is a very big personality and always follows international college services and keeps students motivated. Our college is no less than international colleges. Our chairman is the former RBI governor of India and he also keeps the students motivated about understanding economics and academics.

An amazing place for masters in economics.
Placements: Placements are the main reason why people join MSE. This year the market was down which resulted in less number of students getting placed compared to previous years but placement cell is still trying to get everyone placed. The highest package this year offered was 13 LPA and lowest was as low as 2.75 LPA, though generally, the lowest package does not go beyond 5 LPA. The average was 6-7 LPA. The kind of job profiles offered are analysts, data scientists and research associates. Companies like Citibank, Deloitte, ABinbev, JP Morgan, Cognizant, TCS, E and Y, Landmark, CRISIL, TRAI, IDBI and much more visited the campus for 2016-2017 placements. Very less number of students got the internship from the college. In the 2016 batch, the highest stipend offered is 65000 per month by ABinbev and the lowest was 25000-30000.
Infrastructure: The institution is above average in terms of infrastructure. The campus is expanding with time. Though it is a small campus but a beautiful one. Wi-Fi is a little slow but manageable. Labs are nice but students don't get to visit them much. MSE has a leading professional research library. It has a digital library as well. The first floor of the library has computer systems also. Aptitude tests take place on those systems during placement days. In fact, any student can access the Internet by through those systems. You can study from those computers if you don't have your personal laptops. All the classrooms are smart classrooms and are very airy. You will not feel hot while sitting in classrooms. The mess food is OK but you will get everything here. The breakfast is the best. Sambhar is cooked every day but along with the north Indian food, so there is no such problem regarding food because most of the people in this institute are mainly from north India and Kolkata. Hostel rooms are small. In the first year, 3 people share one room which changes to double sharing as they reach in the second year. There were water filter issues as most of the times water cooler in girls hostel stopped working. But they installed a new water cooler and now, it is absolutely fine. Little bit improvement in mess food is required. In the morning and the evening, people play badminton, cricket and football. There is a football and cricket league organised by the boys at the end of every session. This time Counter-Strike and a table tennis league were also organised. The requirement of a bigger canteen is one issue which the college must consider.
Faculty: The faculty team of this college is very well-qualified. Each of them is an expert in their field and are very friendly. The teaching was mainly done through powerpoint presentations. There was no industry exposure as the course was an academic course. The course curriculum is extremely useful as it helps MSE students have an edge over students who have done masters in economics from other institutes. The student to faculty ratio was 9:1. But one thing I would suggest is being spoon-fed is something one must not expect since it is a master's programme.
Other: The campus life is amazing. You get to spend 2 beautiful years of your life here. You get to taste life in Chennai. Holi, Diwali, Onam and Saraswati Pooja. Every single festival is celebrated here with a lot of enthusiasm. You will study together, pray together, cry together and celebrate together. The administration is a little annoying as they keep mending their rules and regulations all of a sudden. But if got a chance do experience this journey.
