B.Tech. in Food Technology - Batch of 2022

Absolutely dissatisfied because of placements in 2020, really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Well, to start with we are pandemic batches, for us everything was online, lectures, practicals, virtual industrial visit, but we got opportunity to do offline internships. About placement due to pandemic situation we are still facing issues, but our placement cell have started posting job offers since 3 months so I think there are good chances for us getting jobs. I can't tell about previous batches but our seniors got very low placements as then the pandemic situation was quite serious but the college is still supporting them and trying to bring as much industry contacts for them. From our course, we got internships at Mondelez, Mapro foods, Haldirams, Hindustan Coca-Cola, Katraj Dairy, Mala's, Amul, Suhana Masale, Weikfield, Bauli and many more. Even international internships too. Through our course, we get into roles like production executive, quality assurance executive, quality control executive, Marketing executive, Purchase assistant, etc. It depends on skills also for placement. Generally, we get package of Rs. 10,000- 20,000 at start and it gradually increases depending on your performance and skills you have.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious and well-equipped with projectors, computers. Yes there is Wi-Fi available in Hostels as well as at the Campus. Labs are good. Maximum practicals can be performed there. Library consists of every possible books, magazines, projects etc. Included in the syllabus, now digitally also available. Hostel was very nice, clean, each room with 4 students, each of us got 1 table, B.Ed half side of cupboard and every room had Wi-Fi router installed separately. Food was nice in mess, breakfast and evening snacks were good, everytime variety. Hostel had first aid kit and fire extinguisher on every floor. Clean washrooms. In case of emergencies, vishwaraj hospital was preferred. There are variety of games available in the campus. There are sorts meet, competitions and practice for everyone.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful, they even advice for further studies also. Yes, if we pay attention to all our college lectures, practicals mostly and during internships, we will be ready. Along with that try improving your communication and computer skills also it will help a lot. Do as much as internships possible during internship period in different sectors. Semesters are not that difficult if we pay attention during lectures and practicals. Passing percentage is 45% I think.
Other: There are events like persona fest, music concerts, DJ nights, freshers party, farewell party, vishwanath sports meet, MIT ADT talks, Soft competitions, blood donation camp, events for helping people in floods, orphanages, old-age homes by smile foundation, Inter college sports, Swimming, Gym are available for free for students inside campus itself. Surrounding is clean.

B.Tech. in Food Technology - Batch of 2019

The college is good in events and teaching but they have to work on placements and infrastructure.
Placements: Only one or two companies giving placements. Limited students get selected. In April my exams were over but till now not single company come for campus selection. They have to do work on placements because it is the only way to attract students to take admission in college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so good. The computer lab is so small and only 10 computers are there. For classes and practicals conducted in a separate building because of lack of space and which is 1 km away from each other. The lab is full of instrument and equipment. Library having enough of books.
Faculty: Faculty is good. Their teaching is best. They complete all syllabus till exam and provide good notes. They give assignments and project regularly so everyone does study. They conduct programs for understanding students about their course and scope in food tech.
Other: MIT is known for its events. We celebrated persona fest in which you can integrate your skills, your hobbies and Learn new skills. We celebrated ganpati, shivjayanti. They conduct conferences on many topics to understand the subject and their scope in the future.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placement, infrastructure, canteen and campus crowd.
Placements: Prof. A. Todmal and Prof. S. Gaikwad handle all the placement. There is placement cell in which students are working consistently under the placement officer. They take to account the interest of student and help them get internship as well as placement accordingly. Our seniors are already working in well known industry with good position.
Infrastructure: The college is providing need based facilities along with wi-fi. Well-equipped infrastructure. Library is well managed with all sort of books including general knowledge and competitive exams book. There is Vishwanath sports organized every year with tough competition. The laboratory are well maintained with new technological equipment and machinery.
Faculty: Highly qualified faculty which also support the overall development of student. The faculty takes effort to deliver the knowledge to student. There are counselor provided to each student which personally resolves the problem of student. Food technology is the course which not only prepare healthy food product but also look towards the preservation, quality. Nutritional composition, food security and safety and other important aspects of food. Industrial visit is also carried out for every courses for more practical knowledge.
Other: Persona fest is one of the popular techno-cultural event held every year. Various conference and seminar are carried out in campus. Various sports event are also organized. The campus is known for the worlds the largest dome.

Great faculty but poor management.
Placements: The placement cell is always there to guide the students. There are no companies visited the college for the campus. About 10 to 15 seniors got the job and average salary offered is Rs.15,000. Some students got the internship from college, and remaining students got the internship on personal references. Only 5-6 students got stipend during the internship. Relations or connectivity with industries is very poor.
Infrastructure: The college campus is very nice. There are facilities like tuck shop, hospital, ground, gym, meditation centres, swimming pool, etc. Food in the canteens is very good but very expensive. Hostel and mess are very expensive. The college is 20 km far from Pune city. There is no Wi-Fi facility in class as well as in hostels. For food technology, hostels are outside from the campus. Labs and classrooms are average.
Faculty: All teachers are well qualified. The teaching quality is very good. Almost all the teachers use presentation method. Projectors are there for teaching. 30:1 is the student to the faculty ratio. The faculty is less compare to students. There are 100 students in one batch. The course curriculum is useful for students. The college arranges industry visit once a year near Pune.
Other: The college organises Foodenza, Persona Fest, and sports meets. The campus promotes go green, and Mula-Mutha river flows from campus. The campus is of 150 acres. MIT ADT is a private university, so there is no scholarship available. You have to pay all the fee.
