Hello Nishar Ahmed, UG Diploma in this autonomous Institute is of just six months duration. The basic criteria are also the most mundane i.e. Just a 12th pass with no minimum marks prescribed. Also there is no entrance examination for this course. One just needs to register online. Based on the marks of class 12th admissions are done. Perhaps due to these very relaxed entrance requirements, this institute has not declared any limitation on capacity of intake. This data is just not available on any webpage. The National institute of technology Srinagar also commonly known as NIT Srinagar offers various courses and certifications which are splendidly rated by students of the institution. Nit Srinagar offers various graduate and undergraduate courses and also many research and certifications opportunities in various engineering disciplines. 

According to the NIRF Ranking of 2023, NIT Srinagar admitted 3010 students under the UG and certifications programme out of which 

2224 are males and 780 are females. 

For admission in the institution candidates must have completed their 10+2 with physics, chemistry and maths as their core subjects. Their percentage in 10+2 and JEE MAINS Must be as directed by the institute for the further process of admissions. 

Students which are from reserved categories may have specific relaxation in terms of minimum specified criteria.

This autonomous Institute which works under the ministry of electronics and information technology of the Government of India conducts an all India entrance examination twice in a year. These exams are conducted normally in the months of January and July of each year. The process of registration and paying of fees etc. would normally begin a couple of months before these two months. This exam is valid for getting admission in National Institute of electronics and information technology at different places for their courses which are of different nature like certificate, diploma, graduation or post graduation, which are formal in nature and also some courses which are totally informal in nature. Hello Nishar Ahmed, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology at Srinagar campus offers many courses under informal and non informal streams of education. In the non informal stream this Institute is affiliated to the Kashmir university and this university awards degrees post graduate degrees and also certificates to the students who pass out. On the other hand the informal courses that this Institute conducts includes an undergraduate Diploma in almost 15 different subjects. The duration of the scores is about 6 months. The students have to appear for an entrance test to see admission for this diploma. But across the spectrum on the net and from many other sources no information about any cut off marks in this entrance examination was mentioned anywhere. Result of this the student can safely conclude that she / he just needs to pass this entrance exam to get admission and there is no cut off to speak of.

It has campuses spread across India at 41 locations. It is basically involved in skill development activity meaning it provides many courses of small duration to students who then can either seek employment or they can work themselves as entrepreneurs. In addition to this these institutes also offer some courses at graduation and post graduation levels also. These courses are invariably affiliated to the local government university where these institutes are located. In such cases the University grants a degree or postgraduate certificate. Having spread across India and also being involved in providing computer and information technology related training to the students, all institutes together have an online placement cell. All students belonging to any of these 41 campuses can upload their CVs and then the prospective employers can come and interview them at each of the campuses and select candidates for recruitment. As the institute is offering courses which are of duration of few weeks basically skill important courses and also of 4 years graduation and 2 years of post graduation the placements also work in that direction and the packages which are offered are also dependent on the qualification that has been earned by the student. National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology - the best IT college in the city.
Placements: About 80% students were placed in my course. The average salary of our students is about 2 Lacs per annum, where as the highest salary may go upto 4.5 Lacs per annum. Most of the students got placed in companies such as BQE, HP, Intel, etc. The role offered to our students are like front end developed, back end developed, full sack developed, software tester, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our college are the best as compared to other institutions in the city. There are modern labs continuing every possible element in order to make it easy for the students to learn new things. There are also hostel facilities available for the students.
Faculty: The teachers in business are very helpful and highly qualified. The staff is almost the best in the business. The course is curriculum relevant and it makes students ready to takeover industries with their knowledge and their skills. The semester exams are pretty good and the pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose this course because I believe that the internet is creating opportunities for students, and I want to be part of that. I think the course is good as is, and doesn't need any modifications.

Placements: There are 25 students in our batch. Many students got placed based on merit obtained in the entrance test. Top recruiting companies are Yarikul Infotech, HDFC Bank, Seven Consultancy, Ciel Information Solutions, Axis Bank, HCL Technologies, Amazon, etc. Internships are also offered in our college.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good such as Wi-Fi, well-designed laboratory, a huge library, sports, and medical facilities. The food served in the hostel is good. Canteen facility is also decent.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, talented, and knowledgeable. Our course curriculum is relevant, and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult. Exams are conducted normally as per the UGC guidelines.

Placements: I am totally in love with this college. It has great placement. This college has got good placement percentage. Placements of about 80%. Many companies visited college for job facilities. Students were offered doctor, engineer, bank job, etc. This College is awesome.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are available at each and every corner in this College. Classrooms are neat and clean and have Good type of equipments. Library is very good and have silent atmosphere. Sports like cricket and football games facility is available. Labs and classrooms are awesome.

I am Satisfied with the college faculty, placements, infrastructure, facilities in the College.
Placements: In NIET the students hail from different regions of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Students focus more on academics and NIET have good placements. At least 40% of the students of our batch get placed. The highest salary offered Rs. 50,000, and the lowest salary offered Rs. 10,000. Students will be offered roles like computer mechanic, electronic tasks, etc.
Infrastructure: NIET is mostly related to electronics, so the internet facility is excellent. They provide Wi-Fi, online education, etc. Classrooms, library, Medical facilities, sports like cricket, football, tennis, etc. are available on the campus. Labs and classrooms are neat and clean and have a good type of types of equipment available. I feel no infrastructure issue in NIET.
Faculty: The faculty members were educated, qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. The faculty with good teaching qualities available in this college. They use modern teaching methods for the betterment of the students. There is no crowd atmosphere in college. Industry exposure is absent. The course curriculum is beneficial.

They have campuses at more than 41 locations across India. Being an autonomous body it is authorised to grant certificates of some of the courses that it conducts. However for some courses these institutes or affiliated to the local government university and then that University intern issues the certificate to the students. Now while taking admission for the courses for which this Institute is affiliated to the universities and entrance exam is conducted twice in a year normally in the months of January and July. Admissions there after our based on the merit of the students in this entrance examination. However for many of the informal courses that this Institute conducts there is no internal examination and the admission is based on the marks obtained by the students in the qualification examination prescribed for that course.
