Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Want a good government engineering college with a low JEE rank? This is it.
Placements: Good college for those who want to study only because many of our seniors got qualified for GATE. Placements are currently going on in our college, and many students have secured placements in JSW with a package of 9.5 LPA. As per the previous trend, almost every student gets placement here with an average package of 7-8 LPA. The top recruiting company is JSW, and the company offering the highest package is Vedanta. Last year, Vedanta offered 14 LPA to a student, which was the highest.
Infrastructure: The buildings of our hostel are very nice, and this year, renovation work is also underway. So, it will improve the look and interior of the hostel too. There is availability of Wi-Fi, a volleyball playground, a common room for watching television, and playing table tennis. The food here is not quite good, but our hostel, HJB hostel, is quite spacious. In our college, only 1st-year students live two in a single room; otherwise, all the students live in single rooms. You will also get 24-hour electricity, and there is no water problem. Medical facilities are good, and the doctor is also good. Caretakers of the hostel are also nice.
Faculty: Actually, the teachers are very good; they are very helpful in nature. Also, their teaching skills are too good, and they have good knowledge. The most important thing is that they teach in a very good manner. Also, there is no restriction on anyone of any kind in the classroom. I currently haven't appeared for exams, but our institute has become deemed, so from now on, the difficulty of exams might increase.
Other: Actually, for the branch of Materials Engineering, this institute is one of the best institutes, which also gives tough competition to NITs. The only thing that I don't like here is that there are no good fests and no such excess of extracurricular activities, but these activities are slowly increasing. Also, you will get a chance to avail scholarships.

Join if you want a good government engineering college with a lower JEE Main rank .
Placements: This year's placement rate was almost 100%, as 114 students got placed out of 120, which is quite good. The top recruiters are JSW, Vedanta, Tata Motors, etc. Most students were placed in JSW with a 9.6 LPA package and the highest package offered by Vedanta is 13.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good but small, not big, as compared to other NITs or big private colleges but it is well maintained. The facilities provided by the college are Wi-Fi, labs, a common room, Gymkhana and many other things. There are 5 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels, of which one is under construction. But there are no canteen facilities and the mess quality is also average or, at times, below average.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful and supportive. Most young faculty are quite helpful and good in teaching and they will help you if you want help regarding higher education, placement, internships, etc. If you are tortured by senior, you can complain they will immediately help you.
Other: Metallurgy and Materials Engineering is the best course in this college and if you want to prepare for higher studies like an MBA or GATE, then seniors will help you. The mess should be improved.

NIAMT - A rapid growing college.
Placements: Placement here is around 100%. No doubt the college has its great importance in industries. The highest package offered in year 2022 is somewhere around 14 LPA for Metallurgy and around 10lpa for manufacturing engineering. Now there is no manufacturing branch in our college. It has now four branches viz. Production, mechanical, computer engineering which has no placement record yet. Companies like JSW, Vedanta and TATA metalics etc. Visits for campus recruitment. Also some seniors of mechanical got PPO from TATA metalics of 18LPA. Student get position of GET in company they got in placement.
Infrastructure: Our college have not very decent infrastructure but college is growing day by day you will see some good buildings and labs in coming years. Hostel owns all type of facility like 24 hour unlimited wi-fi, electricity 24 hour, well-equipped common room, well furnished rooms. All branches have their different buildings and we all branches have labs of very high quality and modern machines are installed and old retire from labs. Hostels have table tennis setup, basketball ground, badminton ground and a big common cricket and football ground and many small grounds for different games.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are alumni of reputed IITs and NITs and most love their teaching style many new faculty members are also this year related to computer branch, mathematics department etc. Teachers are very helpful to students and they help in research based works etc. Curriculum is managed by JUT but very soon our college will have its own curriculum and it is also well designed according to modern demand of industry. Semester exams are easy if you study well and very hard if you donot study. Pass percentage around 35-40 percent.
Other: Small events organised in every month on occasions like jayanti and on special day. Our college organise fest called JINKS which is a cultural fest and PRANAV technical fest. Famous celebrity of in our college and cannot tell more I have no more knowledge of this.

Want good government engineering college with a low JEE rank ? This is it.
Placements: Placement was quite good this year, and the placement rate was 100% for the Mechanical and Metallurgy branches. The highest package was 16 LPA, and many students received 13.6 LPA from Vedanta and JSW. Additionally, as always, companies like JSW offered 9.6 LPA and hired in bulk. Therefore, the average package is between 9 to 10 LPA, which is quite good for Metallurgy and Materials Engineering as a fresher.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not that great, but it is well-maintained. There are a total of 7 hostels: 5 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels. Each year has a separate hostel for boys, so there is not much ragging. Each hostel has a large common room with a big TV, table tennis, and many indoor games. The 1st-year hostel has 4 grounds inside, including a badminton court, volleyball court, and cricket area. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel 24/7. There is also a library for studying or borrowing books.
Faculty: The faculty are very helpful and knowledgeable as well. If you need any assistance with internships or preparation for the GATE exam, they will help you. There are a total of eight semesters and sixteen midsems; each semester has two midsems, and the best of the two will be chosen.
