During the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022, the National Institute of Technology Agartala was ranked 80 in the Engineering category. Talking about the placement of NIT Agartala, the institute has not released the placement statistics for the batch of 2022. However, the NIRF report 2023 was released recently. As per the NIRF report 2023, a total of 619 students got placement offers.

The BTech course fees at NIT Agartala range between INR 3.5 lakh- INR 5 lakh. The duration of the course is for four to five years. The eligibility for the BTech course is that candidate should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate. Candidates who want admission need to fill the application form in offline mode. The entrance exam accepted includes JEE Main and JEE Advanced which is followed by JoSSA counselling.

The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, opening rank was 43698 and closing rank was 73635. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 54043 and 108096. Admission to BTech in Civil Engineering in NIT Agartala is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

To apply for the National Institute of Technology Agartala BTech course, candidates must visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) to apply for the JEE Main entrance test. The final selection is based on Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process. The institute-specific qualifying cutoff is announced after the declaration of JEE Main results to manage the seat allotment process.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala placement report 2022 has not been released on the official website yet. However, the NIRF report 2023 was released recently. According to the NIRF report 2023, the median package offered was INR 7 LPA during the NIT Agartala BTech placements 2022. A total number of 645 candidates participated in the placement drive out of which a total of 525 students got the placement offers.

The cutoff trend for BTech at NIT Agartala has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech. under the General category for all India quota was 93695. In 2022, it decreased to 81386. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 128982 to 90742 for OBC, 202960 to 180959 for SC, 328777 to 279342 for ST, 155572 to 92643 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

NIT Agaratala CSE cutoff is based on JEE Main ranks followed by the JoSAA and the CSAB Counselling. As per the JoSAA Round 1 Seat Allotment results, the closing ranks ranged between 18050 and 50575 wherein CSE was the most competitive specialsiation. The Round 1 opening and closing ranks for BTech in CSE course were 8121 and 18050, respectively for the General AI category candidates.

According to the NIRF report for 2022 and available data, the placement at NIT Agartala for B.Tech. Is as follows: 1. The average salary package offered to B.Tech graduates is around INR 7 LPA. 2. Around 525 students out of a total of 645 students get campus placement in various companies in the 2021 batch. 3. The graduates have been placed in companies like ALSTOM, Larsen & Toubro, and Capgemini. 4. Some of the students preferred higher studies like MS and PhDs from foreign institutions. 5. The branches like ECE and CSE have been close to 100% in recent years at NIT Agartala.
