Q:   What is NLET 2025 Marking Scheme?

  • Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer of Question number 1 to 180.
  • Whereas, question number 181 and 182 carry 10 marks each.
  • There is no negative marking scheme for wrong attempts in case of objective-type of questions. Moreover, no marks will be awarded or deducted for questions not attempted by the candidates.
  • The negative marking scheme for long answers type question is not clear.
  • Therefore, only correct answers will be taken into consideration for final score calculation.

Q:   How many times NEF Law Entrance Exam is held?

A:

NEF Law Entrance Exam is held once a year.  The NEF Law Entrance Exam 2025 is expected to be held in July. The exam will be held in pen-paper based mode and will consist of 182 questions carrying a total of 200 marks. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. The exam will be in English language only.

The exam pattern includes objective type as well as subjective type of questions, and there will be two long answer/essay type questions. The exam will test the candidates' knowledge in English including comprehension, general knowledge & current affairs, elementary mathematics, legal aptitude/awareness, and logical reasoning.

Q:   What is NEF Law Entrance Test 2025 Syllabus?

A:

NEF Law College does not prescribe any NEF law entrance test (NLET) syllabus. However, Shiksha has compiled a list of topics that candidates applying for UG courses can refer to perform well in the exam. 

 Syllabus
English including ComprehensionThis section aims at judging the written communication skills of candidates. Questions will be mainly based on topics such as synonyms, antonyms, comprehension, vocabulary, fill in the blanks etc. 
General Knowledge & Current AffairsThis section aims at judging the awareness of candidates about general life, science, politics, etc.
Elementary MathematicsThis section will include Mathematics questions from Class10th or 12th 
Legal Aptitude/ AwarenessThis section aims at judging the legal awareness of candidates. It will include questions on topics such as constitutional law, intellectual property rights, international law, etc.
Logical ReasoningThis section aims at testing the logical reasoning skills of candidates. It will include questions on topics such as series, blood relations, syllogism, analogy, etc.

NLET 2025 Marking Scheme
