NITA, one of the growing NITs in India for sure.

Placements: My course is ECE, and on average, ECE is good enough at NIT Agartala, but this year, the placement ratio drastically fell due to recession. Last year, the total percentage of placement ratio in my branch (ECE) was 100%, but this year it fell down to 47% by a drastic change. The highest package offered in my branch is 30 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 5 LPA. The average package is 11.8 LPA in my branch. Last year, the average placement of CSE and ECE was 14.5 and 13.25 LPA respectively, a...

Placements: Placement is average in production engineering; I heard from 2nd-year seniors that the average package is 8 to 9 Lacs, with the highest package reaching 18 Lacs in 2023. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Mahindra, Tata, Maruti, Indian Oil, etc. The placement rate in production engineering stands at 66 to 70%.

Is NIT Agartala worth joining?

Placements: In electrical engineering, about 80% of the students get placed everywhere, which is decent. The highest package offered was around 50 LPA, while the average package is around 11 LPA. Students who are sincere get internship opportunities, probably in their third year.

This college is very underrated but things are different here.

Placements: I am studying BSMS Physics here. This is a pure science course. Most of the students in this course go for higher studies, including me. As this is an engineering college, most of the companies focus on B.Tech. students. Even though BSMS students can also get placement, they have a good CGPA and skills. The highest package given here is 52 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA and the average is 5 LPA. Top recruiters includes Google, Infosys, Texas, IBM, Bharat petroleum, Indian Oil, etc.

Great lush green campus, average academic life, and placement went down in 2023 due to recession.

Placements: In my course of Electronics and Communication, 90% and above gets placed, with the highest package going upto 34 LPA and the lowest being around 4 LPA. Top IT companies like Google, Microsoft, IBM, and Wipro visit the campus and recruit students. Core placement is somehow less as compared to IT placement.

If you want to consider tier 2 NITs then of course you can join this college.

Placements: Placements at NIT Agartala are not bad. Actually, it is good. We know that it is the time of recession so placements are somehow disturbed but in the circuital and CSE branches, it is good in 2023. In production engineering, placements are not good but one can get a good package if they are passionate and can work hard. Because, of course, it is a college of national importance, it is better than private colleges. In my branch in 2023, the placement percentage is 70% and the highest package is 2...
