at NIT Calicut, Calicut

NIT Calicut offers a regular Master of Planning (MPlan) course in Urban Planning. The institute offers this course in a full-time mode over a duration of two years. Admission to the course is based on GATE score followed by CCMT Counselling. The seat intake for the course is 16.

Bachelor's degree (BPlan or equivalent) with a minimum of 60% aggregate is the basic eligibility for the Master of Planning (MPlan) course offered at NIT Calicut. Candidate must have the UG degree in relevant discipline. The degree must have been issued by a recognised university/institute. Candidates must hold the relevant documents as well as a proof of eligibility.

As per unofficial sources, the total tuition fee of the two-year Master of Planning (MPlan) course offered at NIT Calicut is INR 1.4 lakh. Thus, is indicative. The hostel charges are INR 1.55 Lacs and a one-time fee payment of INR 30,500 also has to be paid at the time of admission. NIT Calicut admissions are entirely entrance-based for all its UG & PG courses. Candidates are shortlisted based on their past academic records along with their scores in the respective entrance exams accepted for different courses. Further, the institute also conducts GD and PI rounds for the final selection. Eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the respective entrance exams. However, for MBA, candidates must apply on the official website of NIT Calicut.

The CAT exam is always conducted on the last Sunday of November every year so the CAT 2024 exam is expected to be conducted on Nov 24, 2024. Official announcement of the CAT 2024 exam date will be made by the convening IIM on Jul 30, 2024. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate (6.0 out of 10 CGPA) for SC and ST categories)  is the basic eligibility required to get admission to MBA at NITC. The aspirants shall further have a minimum of three-year work experience. Candidates with a BSc or equivalent UG degree with at least 60% aggregate or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% aggregate or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC/ST/PWD category) are eligible to apply for an MSc course of NIT Calicut. The aspirants must hold the UG mark sheets and pass certificates as proof of eligibility. The institute admits candidates only after document verification.
