One of the best places for engineering.

Placements: Both placements and internships are awesome for CS and IT. The major companies are Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Flipkart etc. The average package offered is 10 lacs. Placements for mechanical are also good. Companies visiting are Hero, Alstom, Maruti, Honda, IOCL, BEL etc. The package offered is 6-7 Lacs. Placements for other branches are just normal.

Best placement in 2016 batch of computer and IT branches.

Placements: The placement was good of my batch. In my branch, almost 100% placements were there. The highest package offered was 36 LPA and the lowest was 3.4 LPA. Almost more than 150 companies visited offering all kinds of roles from SDE to Bank Manager. 20% students went for the internship. The highest stipend is is 1.20 lakhs per month, the average is 20,000 per month and the lowest is 5,000 per month.

Not much satisfied, but you will get enough opportunities. Good infra and satisfactory placements.

Placements: Talking about the Electronics department, the placements are not very good. Hardly any core company visits the college, but consultancies do. But there are consultancies and software companies that hire students. Around 80 % students get placed in one or the other company. Average package ranges between 5 to 6 LPA. Few companies offer a package of 12-13 LPA. Internships are tough to get if you belong to ECE. But again, there are companies which are open to all branches, so one can apply in thos...

Working hard will lead to a secured future!

Placements: I heard that placements were around 95%. Overall, it has the maximum of 45 LPA to a minimum of 5 LPA. Altogether, the average of 10-15 lakhs offer is continuously being provided. Companies like Microsoft, roundGoogle, Samsung and IBM mostly welcome the students of our college as it is the closest NIT to Chandigarh. The internship rate on an average was around 60-70% for CS and IT students. That's all.

A great experience, good faculty, nice location and really good infrastructure.

Placements: The placements for mechanical engineering are great in National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. 40 out of 120 students got 2 job offers, and the average salary was around 4 lakhs per annum. Companies like Maruti, Tata, Mahindra and Samsung visited the campus, and the placements go year round. Some people got placed very early while some got placed even one month before the end of the term. The placement committee puts a great effort to get all of the students placed. ...

A brand value with a very good platform to build yourself

Placements: The placements in this year are average due to the economic slowdown. A lot of big companies visit the campus each year like Maruti, ABB, L&T, Alstom, Tata Power, Noida Power and Siemens. These are some of the core electrical companies offering an average package of around 4.5-5 lakhs per annum. A lot of consultancies and even software giants like Directi, Amazon, Adobe and Flipkart also visit the campus offering packages as high as 25 lakhs. There are around 50% placements in the electrical str...

The college has good placements. The highest package was of Rs. 27 LPA and lowest was of Rs. 3.5 LPA. The college has highly experienced faculty in most of the departments. The hostel facility is good with 100 percent power back-up and has indoor games as well. The college also has decent sports facilities for the student use.

NIT Kurukshetra is a college with strong legacy. I have discussed three major facts about it below: Infrastructure: Spread in 300 acres, NIT Kurukshetra has a beautiful and magnificent campus. Besides optimum number of classrooms and hostels, the institute in-houses a well equipped library, 24 hour operating computer centre, and numerous sports facilities. The college has an awesome campus and faculty in the civil engineering department. The facilities provided in campus including the hostels are very good. The clean environment away from the hustle bustle of the main city is very refreshing. The professors are always eager to help with academic and non-academic problems of the students. In addition, the crowd in the college is very good.

The college is cool with a nice and big campus and facilities for speed post, banking, food, stationary, etc. The campus has a centre for networking where you can go and access internet, scan your documents and take printouts. The campus has a huge sports ground. The college organises many fests within a year. One is Confluence, which is a cultural festival and other is Techspardha which is a technical one. Awesome college with great infrastructure. There are few new Hostels which are under construction. Average placement package is increasing day-by-day. Crowd is energetic as it is mainly from Delhi, Faridabad, and Chandigarh like cities. It has a host of clubs and activities to choose from for all round development, depending on your interests. There is also ground for outdoor activities such as cricket and football, not forcing students to be content with indulging in indoor sports only.

My college is in top 20 institutes for engineering in India. The institute is 60 years old. It is located on outskirts of Kurukshetra, the land of Mahabharatha. With all major branches the college provides the students a chance to study with some of the brightest students in the country. The exposure is less due to location and a heavy state quota. Sports, music, dance, the college students excelled in all. The mess food was quite bad, same is the case with majority of the government colleges. Ho...

NIT, Kurukshetra has a very good infrastructure spanning 350 acres of area away from the noise of cities. It has a team of highly qualified and dedicated teachers. Hostels are really good, you will get a single-bed room with balcony in second year only. Fees of the hostel as well as tuition is really low. Placement is very good of streams like mechanical, computer, and IT. The college administration is focused on academics more than any other activity. College has good infrastructure for sports,...

The placement scenario is pretty good and satisfactory. Being India’s elite institute, it has got great placement opportunities.

Overall the campus is good. The faculty is not so good (for mechanical) except 2 or 3 professors who will always help if followed. And hostels are good with LAN facility. Many festivals are organised therefore one can have chance to improve his managerial skills. The market of college is not so good.

It’s not a typical engineering college where you would find dumb and nerd kind of guys. Here the guys and gals are vibrant. The labs are state of art and in my last year we had a full renovation of our lab. The fee structure is ok. The on campus recruitment is successful and those students who didn't get any job in on campus recruitment are given professional help in getting a job. A special cell of some alumni help us as well.
