For admission in B.Tech mechanical engineering you have to clear JEE. The cuttoff varies as per the year in the year 22 batch they got at 95 even (general) if you are from categories like OBC/sc/st  it vary even up to 90/87/85. As in the same pattern, the cuttoff for female candidate is different.

The total fee for the BTech programme at NIT Meghalaya is INR 5 lakh, Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year 2022-23, hence is indicative. NIT Meghalaya offers BTech programmes with a duration of four years. BTech programme at NIT Meghalaya is offered in provides five specialisations for the BTech programme, which include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The eligibility criteria for the BTech specialisations includes tweleve years of shcool education with 75% aggregate. National entrance exams is the source of admission for the BTech programme.

NIT Meghalaya JEE Main Round 6 cutoff for Computer Science Engineering is 19175 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in NIT Meghalaya. 

NIT Meghalaya offers a four-year BTech course at the UG level across five specialisations. These are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Admission to all the BTech specialisations revolves around JEE Main exams followed by  counselling.

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at NIT Meghalaya has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 18501. In 2023, it increased to 19175. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from
24759 to 6137 for OBC 68411 to 3133 for SC 640 to 1025 for ST 2843 to 3077 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 16663 and closing rank was 19175 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 25776 and 34378. Admission to Computer Science Engineering in NIT Meghalaya is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

The 2023 cutoff for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 25978, which was the least competetive specialisations offered by NIT Nagaland.  The cutoff for the year 2022 was 17921 and for the year 2021 it was 24041. As per the date it concludes that cutoff for 2023 is higher compare to the previous two years, which indicates the rise in demand of the CSE course.
