NIT Srinagar is good college. Faculty members are well educated and placements are also decent.
Placements: Mostly, 80% of students at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar got placed. The highest package was 36.5 LPA, and the average package was 1.4 LPA. NTPC, Alstom, and HDFC are the top recruiting companies at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar. Mostly, every student got an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the National Institute of Technology Srinagar is very good, and the environment is very friendly. The hostel and mess fee is very reasonable. There is a daily cleaning system, and there is also a proper canteen. You can easily get cash because there are SBI and J&K Bank ATMs.
Faculty: The teachers at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar are very well educated. The course curriculum is relevant; yes, it makes the students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 45% out of 100% at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar. If you study properly and attend classes, then the semester exam is moderate.
Other: I chose B.Tech CSE because I have an interest in this course. The best thing about my course is that I can apply it in many fields, especially in the technical field. More coding competitions can improve this course. There are many events and fests, for example, Range Chinar.

True tour of NIT Srinagar.
Placements: I am in the Computer Science and Engineering branch, which is the best branch at NIT Srinagar. Most students get placed every year in this branch. This year, the highest package is 39 LPA, grabbed by 2 students, and nearly 70% of students have been placed. Every year, nearly 90-110% placement occurs in this branch. There are many opportunities for internships provided by companies like Amazon, Wipro, Vedanta, Autodesk, BHEL, and others, and they also offer pre-placement offers to some students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. The library, classrooms, and everything else are among the best in this college; it is one of the most beautiful colleges in India. The internet connectivity is excellent, with both LAN and open-air Wi-Fi available, and the same facilities are provided in the hostel. The mess food quality is good, especially for non-veg students, and there is also good food available for vegetarian students, with a variety of dishes in both the veg and non-veg categories.
Faculty: Teaching staff in each branch are highly educated, qualified, and experienced. Most of them belong to the top 2% of scientists in the world. They have different levels of knowledge and understanding, which enables them to teach in a very effective way. The course curriculum is designed by NBA, which is the same in every NIT college and improves our personal and professional life.
Other: CSE is the best degree because today the technical field offers high-paying jobs and excellent career opportunities. The college has many fest programs like Tech Vagenza, Range e Chinar, and others. It also has a club for coding.

Most beautiful and stunning college in India, but take a look at placements.
Placements: Nearly 70% of students get placed and receive 1-2 offers. Placement is not as good as in other NITs but far better than in private colleges. The highest package offered in my course was 39 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA, whereas the average package is around 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Autodesk, Nvidia, Oracle, Samsung R&D, Vedanta, IOCL, C. dot, Unacademy, Optum, etc. Internships are only offered to 7th-semester or 4th-year students; no internship program exists for 3rd-year students. Major roles offered in my B.Tech CSE course are like SDE, SWE, sometimes even banks like IDBI, ICIC recruit from our branch, so deputy manager positions are the ones they offer. In our college, offers are not direct; most of them are internship + PPO offers, and a few are full-time offers, so sometimes things don't work out.
Infrastructure: My department's building was recently built, so it looks good, with enough facilities. But other buildings like the library and classrooms are common for all. Most of the buildings are more than 50 years old because this college was formerly known as REC Srinagar, one of the oldest colleges in the nation, so everything has its good and bad consequences. Certainly, Wi-Fi works decently at some places. The library is too small for the student population living on campus, and more than 40% are day scholars, which is why the library is always full. The same applies to classrooms. Hostel conditions are good, but the student-to-room ratio is exceptionally high. We have 7 boys' hostels: Indus, Manasbal, Manasar, Chenab, Jhelum, Jhelum Extension, and Tawi hostel. Most of them accommodate 5 persons per room, and 4th-year hostels like Jhelum Extension have single rooms for the top 200 students of B.Tech.
Faculty: Teachers are very proficient at their work; most of them have diverse educational backgrounds with extensive research work done. A few of our college's professors are in the top 2% of scientists in the world. If we talk about teaching quality, it is fabulous. The curriculum is a bit old but good enough to produce high-quality engineers. It makes students not fully but partially industry-ready, and most of the time, students have to do a lot of side hustles to achieve something good. Semester exams are not that difficult, but the only thing most students hate is the absolute marking scheme. Most of the IITs and NITs have adopted the relative marking scheme, but that is not the case with NIT Srinagar. Most students pass; it's about a 75% passing percentage; the rest take Supplementary exams.
Other: This course was the best as per the placement records and difficulty level among other courses in B.Tech. Apart from this, the curriculum is a bit different from other STEM courses. In our college, in the first year, students are taught subjects of all branches. I know the intention of the administration is to make students aware of other branches and give a slight exposure, but I guess this is not relevant for the CSE branch. Events are organized by the college; the tech event is TechVaganza, and the cultural event is Range E Chinar, which is conducted annually. Connectivity is extremely poor if we talk about traveling by road; one can opt for the flight route. NSP scholarship is easily accessible with this college. Extracurricular activities include lots of sports and dance, singing, and other events organized by various clubs.

I gave full pros and cons on the basis of my overall experience in this college .
Placements: I have computer Science and engineering, in which 90 percent placements in this year has been recorded with average package of 13 Lacs per annum and the highest package is 40 Lacs per annum. Good companies like NVIDIA, SAMSUNG, INFOSYS, WIPRO, are top companies which hire almost every skilled students and offers good package. Almost 80 percent of students get internship opportunities in different types of companies. Top roles offers in my course are software development engineer (sde). .
Infrastructure: 1-as NIT Srinagar is old established NIT in 1956. it has great infrastructure and good alumni network, so placements here is of top notch level. The department /course section has classes which are well air conditioned with smart board to teach students effective in a more practical way. Library is also fully airconditioned in which has several books are available for each course in the college. Whole campus is surrounded by campus open air Wi-Fi so no problem you will related to internet. 2-hostel provided are also in good conditions with accommodation of 5-6 students in each room hostel rooms are airy and fully Wi-Fi is available and LAN ports are also there to accese college internet. 3-canteen is also present and a nescafe shop is present for beverages. 4-mess food is also excellent its menu covers almost all types of vegetables and dairy products necessary for body. 5- there are lots of teams in college related to several sports which also participate in INTER NIT COMPETITION. Each team has a seperate coach/trainer.
Faculty: Yes the teachers/faculty members in the campus are highly qualified with amazing teaching skills which will help every student to grasp concepts of topic in a consice way. Teachers will clear your all doubts and the teaching methods is also very good. Yes the course curriculum teach in college is offcourse relevant in first semester you will get to know basics of every branch in a nutshell I can say basics of engineering which is also very necessary thing to get high and handsome package and placement, this course also provides also teaches skills to students and helps them to get overall idea of the industry and essential needs of the society. Semester exams are of mediocre level not that much difficult if yoy pay focus in teachers class you will surely get decent marks with high CGPA. Pass percentage is above 5 CGPA.
Other: I choose this course because its my childhood dream to become a software engineer. My course is computer Science and engineering in which student get idea of programming language and what to do in future in teach field. This course will teach you hardware and software of a computer. I thing this course don't needed to improve anything. This college has two fest in a year Techvaganza ( technical fest) Range-e chinar (Cultural fest) campus has 50 percent local crowd of Jammu and Kashmir and 50 percent of other states students. Scholarships-NSP scholarships for obc sc st candidates.

Few things about NIT Srinagar .
Placements: Placements are good in computer science, and the placement percentage is above 90%. The top recruitment companies are: Deshaw, Samsung, Big Basket, Infosys, Optum, Oracle, and many more. The top roles offered in my course are software engineers, and they also get management offers.
Infrastructure: Here, the labs are decent in terms of facilities and infrastructure, and the internet connection is good in the labs and library. Hostels are normal here, but if you get Mansar and Manasbal hostels, you will get LAN in your room; otherwise, you will get Wi-Fi. And mess, sports are okay here.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified and have good experience in their own fields. No, it definitely does not make students industry-ready, especially if you are from the CSE and IT departments; otherwise, it is good. In semester exams, more than 70% of students pass easily.
