We are shifting to our permanent campus.
Placements: Over 90% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 51 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Infosys, and Nvidia. Many students got internships in these top companies before their final year. The average salary package offered is 17 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are computer labs with Mac operation systems. It is well-equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi connections and dehumidifiers for projecting the systems from moisture. There is a building with a big library consisting of all the important books for every course.
Faculty: Every faculty on campus is very experienced and educated from IITs. They are post-graduates who teach students the best of topics. Our course curriculum is updated and is very relevant for students. Semester exams are not very difficult to pass, but previous year's papers are very helpful in understanding the type of questions asked.

Overall, totally satisfied with how the journey turned out to be in this institute.
Placements: Top roles offered are mainly in government jobs like PWD or BRD. In both campus and off-campus placements, almost 60% of students were placed, with the highest package being over 60 LPA and the average around 30 LPA. Internship opportunities are great and affiliated with AICTE, with top companies like HCL, Wipro, Microsoft, and Google offering internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, with plenty of open space and decent facilities. The course instructors are well-prepared to deliver the course effectively, and the campus's scenic beauty and spaciousness add to the overall experience.
Faculty: The teaching staff is undoubtedly helpful, knowledgeable, and well-qualified, having graduated from prestigious institutions both in India and abroad. The course curriculum is well-structured to meet the objectives, and semester exams are relevant and taken in parts to maximize student efficiency.

Dissatisfied by the food in the mess & transportation facilities, placements are not up to the mark.
Placements: 70 percentage of the students were placed. In NIT Meghalaya, the highest package was 19.45 Lacs per annum, the lowest was 6 Lacs per annum, and the average was 8 Lacs per annum. Top companies like BPCL, HPCL, Vedanta, and Tata do visit for placements. 90 percentage of students get internships from respective companies. Manufacturing engineer, thermal engineer, and designer roles are offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Campus shifting will take place this December as it’s confirmed officially now. Wi-Fi is good, labs and classrooms are so nice in the permanent campus. Hostel rooms in our new campus are nice. The library is too small but enough for the students count here. Food is bad, and sports and games are fine.
Faculty: Faculty are helpful, but not everyone is knowledgeable. The teaching quality is not up to the mark; it’s not enough for higher studies entrance examinations. No, they won’t give you everything, and the course curriculum doesn’t include everything from GATE and all entrance examinations. Semester exams are of medium level, and the pass percentage is 90 percent. They mostly give 60 percent from the teaching lectures and modules.
Other: You can get central jobs, PSUs, and core jobs from this course. Real-time experience would be nice. A fest happens for every sem, but the crowd is too less.

Any way NIT is a NIT.
Placements: Placements are good here. Almost 90 percent of the students were placed. The main recruiters are KEC International and Narayana. Last year, some of the students were placed in BPCL with an 18 LPA CTC, which was the highest package, and the lowest was 6 LPA in the civil engineering branch. Students did their internships in PWD, AAI, some private companies, and AIT Thailand.
Infrastructure: Currently, our campus is working in a temporary campus, so it doesn't have advanced facilities. Labs are equipped with all the necessary equipment that is needed, but slowly the labs are being shifted to the permanent campus, which has all the advanced machines and laboratories. Hostels are quite good.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. Some teachers teach according to competitive examinations and prepare questions accordingly, while some follow the syllabus, which is still helpful for competitive examinations. The course is relevant, and if you study regularly and pay attention in class, then you can easily get a good score in the examination.
Other: I like this course so I choose it and lab facilities should be improved .

Good faculty, infrastructure, and facilities as well as a good senior junior bonding.
Placements: This year, i.e., 2024, 80% of the batch has been placed with the highest package of 46 LPA and an average package of 13 LPA from CSE. Apart from this, from my department, the highest package of 12 LPA and an average package of 5.2 LPA have been placed. Top recruiting companies include Amazon, Winjeet, KEC, Bajaj, Narayana Groups, L&T, Vedanta, Infosys, etc. From civil engineering department, many students got internships at Aditya Birla, SAIL, GAIL, etc.
Infrastructure: For Civil Engineering department, there are separate labs for different courses, e.g., structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, Transportation Engineering, Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering, Engineering Drawing lab, etc. Library facilities are also available for students. As NIT Meghalaya is being operated from its temporary campus, some apartments have been rented as hostels. In hostels, Wi-Fi and mess gym facilities are available and for transportation from hostel to college and vice versa, buses are available.
Faculty: In NIT Meghalaya, faculty members are helpful and also highly qualified. They are always ready to help students in every field. In NIT Meghalaya, the 50+50+100 rule is being followed for semester exams; from that, 50 marks are from internal evaluation, e.g., class tests, assignments, and viva. 50 marks are for the midterm, and 100 marks are for the endterm examination. Overall, out of 200, the semester has been evaluated.
Other: As NIT Meghalaya is being operated from its temporary campus, the student capacity for each branch is less than that of other NITs. Apart from B.Tech, masters in technology (M.Tech) in some special categories and masters of science in physics, chemistry and mathematics are available at NIT Meghalaya.

An average college with natural beauty.
Placements: There are not many good placements in the ECE department. There are very few placements. I think the highest package is around 40 LPA, and the average package is around 10–12 LPA. I don't know about the companies that recruit. The chance of getting an internship is also low.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the labs, classrooms, and lecture halls is good. This is also true of the hostels, but if you are looking for food, it is not good if you are from the north or west of India. There is mostly non-vegetarian food. No nearby restaurants are available; in fact, there are no shops.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty are supportive, and the teaching quality is good, but if you are aiming for GATE, you have to take courses online, because the level of teaching is not good enough for the GATE exam. Semester exams are not very hard; if you study a bit, it is okay. Passing marks are decided according to student performance.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
