The college has been on a rise. It is growing at a faster rate. Good placement in 2016-17.

Placements: The placements are pretty good. The first batch passed out in the year 2014. At that time, placements were not that good. The highest package, which was offered by Power Grid, was 11 LPA. In the subsequent year, many reputed IT companies came which included Tech Mahindra, IBM and Infosys along with core companies like Nokia, L&T ECC and Vodafone. Last year, along with the above-mentioned companies, other companies like Huawei, Virtusa Polaris, ThoughtWorks, GE Digital and Robert Bosch also came....

NIT Meghalaya review. You must see before counselling.

Placements: Placements are quite good even after a remote location and age of the institute. In the year 2016, the average placement was 7.76 LPA and in our year, 2017, till now, the average package is 6.7 LPA. Many core companies visit the campus like Microsoft in 2017, Bosch, L&T, Lava, Vodafone, Juspay, DirectI, Capgemini and PSUs like Powergrid.

I was happy as our Mentor was SVNIT as my college was among 10 new NIT's and there was no campus for our college. So we were transferred to SVNIT Surat. We spend 5 semesters there. We enjoyed a lot in SVNIT. In 6th Semester we were transferred to Shillong were government has taken a small Campus for our college. Campus was small and it only has 4 buildings and no playground no auditorium. Students have to come daily in college as food is provided in the college only. If you want to bunk then you...

The best thing is you will be individually taken care because of less no. of students but faculty members are not that good, placement record is above average, infrastructure is under construction as at present campus is in city and it is temporary. The atmosphere is excellent. Food is a major problem. Fests are average. A lot of opportunities are there to build leadership qualities.

NIT Meghalaya is one of the new NITs set up by the MHRD. As such, the college is still in its infancy and not up to all the standards one would see in the older, more established NITs. However, the facilities which are present are sufficient for all academic purposes. The classes are held regularly, labs are adequate and well equipped, the library is well organised and has a sufficient number of books, etc. As far as placements are concerned, around 80% of the eligible candidates are generally ...

I am satisfied because of faculty, average placements and really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Placements in our college are comparatively high than other North East NITs. In the civil branch, placements are good. The highest salary package of 7 LPA and the lowest salary package of 2 LPA were offered in our college. Many reputed companies visited here. Maybe 40% of the students are eligible for internships from our college.
