Dissatisfied with college management.

Placements: The placements in NIT, Srinagar is very limited. Mainly IT companies like Wipro, Infosys, etc. comes to college. We had a few companies like Vedanta that came to the college. Only about 50% of people in the course were placed. The highest salary was around 8 lacs. The lowest I think was 3.5 lacs. Roles were Project Engineer or something like that.

If you don't have any other decent option, then get admitted in NIT Srinagar.

Placements: Placements are pretty decent, but students should not expect more. Our previous 2 batches have seen good numbers and percentage selections, but things are pretty uncertain in Kashmir. Maximum placements are for the branches of IT, and CSE followed by ECE, mechanical, and other departments.

Review of National Institute of Technology, Srinagar.

Placements: Placements of core branches were not good compared to our senior batches. However, placements for CSE department were very good. Since no PSUs visited this time for the mechanical department, so the highest salary package was reduced to approximately 8 LPA. The average salary package offered for the mechanical student was approximately 5-5.5 LPA.

I think it is a good college for studying, .

Placements: Now, at least 55% of students are placed, in senior batch, 70% of students are placed in IT and Computer Science. The lowest = 3.5 LPA the highest= 27 LPA campus visit companies = Infosys, Medlife, Mahinda Comviva, gravy, Wipro turbo, Amdogs, cipher research, Fourkites, virtues, most companies take interview in Chandigarh university. From college only around 14 studies got internship. stipend= 10 k To 25K placement cell is not effective.

Great location, average placements, poor networking.

Placements: Department of Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and IT have decent placements. Average package is 4 lacs per annum, with median around 5 lacs per annum, and the maximum over 12 lacs per annum. Civil Electrical Engineering have only 10-15% placements on average, with Chemical and Metallurgy doing even worse. There is a placement cell run by students which looks after the entire process of campus placements.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the faculty members. The college lacks liberty and infrastructure.

Placements: The placement record of our branch was awesome. Around 40 students out of 75 got placed. Many good companies including PSUs visited our campus. The placement session solely depends on the situation of the valley which is prominently tense. So, I can say that placements are not guaranteed. I will not recommend this college to anyone.

It is an amazing campus. If you visit here, you will definitely forget about other campuses.

Placements: If you're interested in computer science or information technology branch, then this college is too good for you. Placements are too good for CSE and IT branches, and many of them got double placement offers. The placement rate for branches like ELE, mechanical and civil is around 60-70% because it is core, and there is a lack of private companies in the core branch. However, if you are performing well from this branch, then you will definitely get placed in PSUs. Placements for METT and chemica...

College is situated on the bank of Dal Lake. Overall it is a good college.

Placements: Placements in our college depend upon the condition of Jammu and Kashmir. More than 140 students got placed in the year 2018-19. In the previous year, more than 250 students got placed. If there is no issue of a strike or any other problem, then placement will increase.

The college is not extraordinary, but the overall experience is quite good and you will like it.

Placements: Placements in college are good for CS and IT. This year, the highest salary package offered was around 35 LPA, and the average package was around 6 LPA. But it is not the same for core branches, as only 3-4 PSUs visit every year for placements of core branches. Apart from PSUs, private companies also visit the campus, so almost 70-80% of the students from the core branch remain unplaced. There are almost 100% placements for CS and IT branch.

Hate it or love it, you are going to enjoy every second that you have spent in the college.

Placements: Placements have always been a matter of concern. This year, it was a turn around for CSE and IT streams. Around 50% of the students of 7th semester got placed through college placements. Almost everyone is expected to be placed by the end of the session. Others have to be very dependent on non-core companies. The salary package of 28 LPA was bagged by a student of CSE stream. The internship is not provided by the college, and one has to look for it on their own.

Scenic beauty and atmosphere are the attractive factors of this college.

Placements: Placements in our college are good this year. Students of CSE and IT branches had high placements. For rest of the branches, placements are not good at all. Placements for the civil branch are far better for the present batch than the last batch. The college doesn't provide on-campus internships. A student has to find an internship on their own. Among all, 28 LPA was the highest salary package offered to a CSE student.

Our college has good faculty members, but it needs to work on infrastructure.

Placements: Well, placements in our college are pretty good. Tanay Abhra of 2014 batch of CSE branch got placed in a USA based company named Epic Systems with the highest package of 72 LPA. Currently, most of the students got placed through college placements. This year, the highest package offered was 28 LPA.

If you want adventure while studying, then go for this college.

Placements: Placements in the college are not good enough. Branches like chemical and metallurgy don't get that much attention in terms of placements. This year, the highest package offered was 28 LPA, offered to a CSE student. The average package is approximately 5 LPA. Companies like Resonance, Four Kytes, Vedanta, etc. visit the college for placements every year.

Faculty members are good and placements can be better. The college has the best scenery.

Placements: I will be lying if I say our college is the best in terms of placement. But CSE and IT are top in the placement scenario. Placements for the previous years were good, and they are going at a steady pace for the 2019 batch. Till now only 15% of students have been placed from the 2015-2019 batch. Companies like L&T, Grey B, Tech systems, Resonance, Avanti, etc. have visited for placements.

NIT, Srinagar is the 3rd most beautiful college in India.

Placements: The placement percentage of CS and IT branches is 100%, and the placement percentage of core branches is 70-80%. The placement percentage of the chemical and metallurgy branches is 40%. From 2017, the placement graph is increasing rapidly. I think in the coming years, placements will be very good. The average salary package offered is 5-6 LPA. This year, the highest salary package offered was 28 LPA. Some students also receive a salary package of 11 LPA.

Placements: CS and IT 100 percent placement. And in core branches like electrical, mechanical, civil, ECE placement is about 80-90 percent. And other branches like chemical, metallurgy have placement of about 40-50 percent. Overall average package is about 4-5 LPA. The highest package is 72 LPA by epic system. Placement graph will increase in coming year because of coming of new director and MOU signed with IIT DELHI AND IIT JAMMU. This year also one student got package of 28 LPA.

NIT Srinagar is a good well reputed college but there is a huge scope for improvements.

Placements: Many psu's and some of the well known companies came for placement. In our batch all the students who appeared in placements got selected. The highest annual package was 12 Lacs p. a and the lowest being 4 Lacs p. a. The placement cell is very efficient and they appoint some selected students from each batch so that they invite well reputed companies and multinational firms.

NIT Srinagar is like a paradise in trouble.

Placements: The placements of NIT Srinagar faced challenges due to the political situation of Srinagar. The greater challenge, however, is not to get placed, but to remain motivated in the hostile environment. Students are advised to speak to any contacts within the institution before deciding to enroll.

National Institute of Technology, Srinagar has decent placements and good infrastructure.

Placements: Placements at NIT, Srinagar are decent for mechanical, civil, electrical and electronics, electronics and communication engineering, IT and computer science engineering. Remaining branches don't have core placement, which means students who were prepared to do the job weren't placed.

I am satisfied with my college because the placements are very good this year.

Placements: The placements for our batch are nearly 70%, but the placements of our senior batch are not very good. This year, many PSUs like IOCL, HPCL, Gail, Oil India and many other private companies come to our college. All PSUs offer around Rs. 16 LPA package, and the private sectors offer almost Rs. 6.5 LPA.
