Overview of NITK -A Beautiful Campus.
Placements: In 2022 and 2023, the placement percentage was around 75 to 80%. But due to a recession in 2024, it's around 70%, and the rest of the students are focused on diverse domains such as MBA, UPSC, and further studies. An average salary can be expected around 15-18 LPA. Those who are part of IT mainly incline towards SDE roles as web developers. Due to the boom in AI, people are focusing on Data Science and Data Analyst domains. Top companies are Microsoft, Google, Uber, and Oracle. Moderate companies are Wells Fargo, Intuit, RingCentral, PayPal, and more. Lastly, focused companies are investment banking companies, which provide a salary around 12 to 13 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is developing rapidly day by day, in relative comparison to past years. Wi-Fi is available 24*7 in every corner of the campus. Libraries and labs are very good, with AC availability. Classrooms are wide-spaced and can accommodate 120 students. Coming to food, if you are from the South, then you will definitely like the food. If you are from the North, it depends on the person. Hostels are good, and until the 2nd year, they provide 2-room or 3-room sharing. Later on, it's single-room sharing. There is a widespread range of different canteens such as Amul, Nandini, Nescafé, and night canteens that provide good food at affordable rates. Sports facilities are extremely good, with grounds for each sport. The gym infrastructure is good and can accommodate around 100-150 people. And everyone knows NIT K is famous for each :).
Faculty: Most of the teachers are highly qualified and have done their Ph.D. from reputed abroad colleges. Teaching quality is very good. Professors create an ambiance in such a way that everyone likes the method of teaching. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it inclines towards IT and teaches industry-related skills. The semester exams are difficult, as everyone thinks, and the pass percentage is just 20 percent.
Other: I have chosen this course because it provides a sustainable job and offers great growth. Relatively compared to other branches, the Information Technology branch has the highest placement percentage over the past 5 years. There are two fests that can stretch for 3 to 4 days. One is Engi, and the other is INCI. The ambiance during these fests will be very good.

A tremendous college in India.
Placements: The placements in the technology department are very good at NITK. Last year, the highest and average packages were 54 LPA and 28 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters are Intuit, Adobe, Uber, Wells Fargo, etc. Around 60% of the students got internship last year in various prestigious companies.
Infrastructure: The course is very well structured and it is updated from time to time by the faculty members as and when it is needed. All the departments and the hostels are well provided with Wi-Fi and high-speed internet. The mess food is average. Along with around 9 messes, there are night canteens and one food court.
Faculty: Faculty members of NITK are tremendous. They are all well trained and experienced. The course is designed in such a manner that when students appear for any interview with a company, they can get qualified easily. The semester exams are not that difficult if someone starts studying on the first day of the semester.

Review by Gaurav Singh of NITK Information Technology.
Placements: In the last two years, 100 percent of eligible students have been placed in the Information Technology Branch. The highest package is 57 lacs per annum, the average is 26.7 lacs per annum, the median is 27 lacs per annum and the lowest is 10 lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, Amazon, De Shaw, Citi India, Cisco, Well Fargo, Wall Smart, Qualcomm, Sprinkler and more than 150 companies are coming for recruitment every year. Almost 80 to 85 percent of students get internships every year. The top roles are software development, analyst and backend development.
Infrastructure: In the first year, students are allotted triple-sharing rooms; in the second year, students are given the choice of a single room; two thousand extra hostel rents are charged for that. All the campus, along with departments, are covered by the wi-fi range of the college. Labs are well-equipped with the latest generation of computers with high processors. We have two libraries: one is the central library and the other is the central library. Mess food is hygienic and quite acceptable. Food courts and Nescafe are available on campus and there are two sports grounds along with one indoor sports complex on campus. Gym facilities are also available on the campus.
Faculty: Professors are of a helping nature; they guide students, are highly qualified and knowledgeable and have completed their degrees from top universities or colleges. Teaching quality is good and mostly lab- or practical-based. Yes, this course is highly relevant to the software industry and will prepare students for the industry. It is not difficult to pass the semester exam if you are regular in the class and if you are studying regularly, you can easily score a good CG. Passing percentage varies between 20 and 30 based on class performance and paper difficulty level.
Other: I selected this course and college because of its placement records and college reputation and I have been interested in computer science and information technology from the beginning. It is truly based on modern technology. I only want some upgrades to the syllabus of the course, which is too old. Incident is the largest cultural fest, and Engineer is the largest technical fest at the college. The campus is not too crowded, and it is connected to all modes of transport. Fees Wavier is also available at the college based on economic conditions.

My first review of NITK college.
Placements: In the past 3–4 years, the placements at NITK have been mind-boggling. This year, due to the recession happening in many companies, it fell a little. This year, the highest package was 54 LPA. The average package was 24 LPAs. Almost 50% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Since the college was established in 1963 as KREC (Karnataka Regional Engineering College), its infrastructure is quite old. But all the new buildings that are being constructed now are full of all the facilities. The old building are also equipped with all the facilities, like good lab, wi-fi, etc.
Faculty: The faculty members are good. There are some guest faculty members who teach at an agreement. The course curriculum was designed in 2018 and it has only been continuing since then. The semester exams are not so difficult. One can get good marks just by studying one night before the exam if he/she pays attention in the class.

It is a place where students can find a new version of themselves.
Placements: Placements are good this year in the IT branch. Every student got placements. Almost 97% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 57 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges between 19 LPA - 21 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiters are Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, etc. The internship season will start in the 5th semester. Everyone will get internships.
Infrastructure: Hostels are not very great because this is a government college. They are decent. There are 20 hostels for boys and 5 hostels for girls. There are 2 sports complexes. They include all games. The ground is well-maintained. Each hostel has common rooms so that everyone can chill.
Faculty: Our faculty members are good. All of them are Ph.D. holders. The curriculum is student-friendly. The course is not very stressed. Academically, everything is great. Students can gain as much knowledge as they want from faculty. The course keeps changing according to the current trend. The syllabus keeps updating.
Other: I chose the IT branch because this is a booming sector. Students can have plenty of options during placements. Apart from academics, there will be two fests. Each fest is conducted every semester. The whole campus will turn into a colourful place during fests.

Rather than focusing on such thing, you should also appear for JEE Mains, which is going to be conducted in April, because if you don't give the exam in April, then there are chances of falling down your rank, as competition is going to increase much this time.

In general category, you might get admission in the top 3 NITs, that is Surathkal, Trichy and Warangal . You will get CE, ECE and EEE in most of the lower NITs.
