NIT Surathkal Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,Mangalore

Placements: Our mechanical students have of around 90% placements. Being the 3rd highest college, we have many companies visiting our college in the final year. We have both private and government companies. I feel more government companies need to visit.

Placements: Particularly in the chemical branch, the placements are more than 90%, and for more details, you can see the placement stats in the official website of NIT-K. The computer science branches have the highest placement percentage along with an average package. Also, every branch placement stats are fine.

Placements: The students have a good set of opportunities to utilise. Most of the people get placed or else moved to further studies. All we need to have is the subject knowledge and minimum pointer. Few students get PPO during their internship, which is other the best thing. Usually, placements start from 7th sem. Many companies arrive on the 7th semester.

Placements: As of January 2018, 72.8% of the eligible candidates got the placement. The percentage of placement in the 2017th batch was 90%. The core companies like Samsung, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Intel, Path Partner, CDoT (government company), etc., and the non-core companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Samsung (software) and a total of 150 companies opened their placement for E&C branch. Placements: I was not placed. But still, about 94-95% of the students of NITK got placed. The highest package was about 36.6 LPA. In my branch, it could possibly reach about 25 LPA. The average package would reach probably about 7-9 LPA. Overall, the placements are good.

Placements: The placements in CS and IT are up to the mark, but for different branches, you have to work hard. Some branches like mining and metallurgy placements are way too less. There is a training and placements office to assist you with placement. The mechanical and civil placements are decent.

Placements: The placements are quite good in the academic year 2017. 80% of the students are placed. The highest package offered was 20 lpa, the lowest was 3 lpa, and the average was 6 lpa. Placements: The placements offered in civil engineering is pretty good with an average package of 4.5 lakhs per annum. Many high-end companies visit for the placements including PSUs. PSUs offered the highest package around 7 lakh per annum. Variety of roles will be offered by the companies like site engineer, planning g engineer and management roles. And civil engineering students can get into software companies by clearing their entrance exams.

Placements: Last year, the placements of MBA were not up to the mark, but this year, for my batch 2016-2018, the placements are better, and the companies are coming in with packages ranging from 6 lpa to 14 lpa. Placements: The placements in the college were excellent especially for the computer science and the IT branches. For the computer science and the IT, an average package offered is about 13 LPA, and the highest is about 36 LPA, while the lowest was about Rs. 7 LPA. The majority of the students get internships in good companies, and later they get PPO from the company which helps the students to be stress-free in their final year.

Placements: NITK is always placed in top 3 in rank list of NITS. The placement is very good, about 110 out of 120 eligible students in the mechanical department was placed in the last year, and the mechanical branch in our college rated top in NITS. The highest salary offered is 13 lakhs per annum, the lowest is 4 lakhs per annum, and the average is about 6.7 lakhs per annum. As per my knowledge, last year the highest salary package is of 16 lakhs per annum, And it is not necessary that mining people should attend for mining engineering industries They can attend for other software, mechanical companies too. Placements: By the first month of the 7th semester, 40% of my class was placed with the average salary of 16 LPA, and by the end of 7th semester, 97 out of 100 were placed already with an average salary of 12 LPA. Placements: In the college, placements are good for circuit branches but just average for non-circuit branches, as many software companies come for placements. Most companies coming for placement offer an internship too. Overall, a good placement record with good packages.

Placements: It has excellent, 100% placements. with a record 200+ companies. All the top tech and non-tech companies visit the campus. The proximity to Bangalore helps a lot with the number of companies visiting the campus. If placement is what one is concerned about, then join NITK Surathkal and you will not be disappointed.

Placements: Placements were good in our college during my final year. I guess around 176 companies came for placements. Companies like Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Code Nation, Intuit and Coal India were the best recruiters. The average salary was around 5-6 LPA and the maximum package was offered by Code Nation.
