Both the colleges are great, NIT Warangal should be given more preference because DTU has 85% state quota, you should go for DTU if your school is in Delhi region. Otherwise, course curriculum and infrastructure of NIT Warangal is better. DTU is better in terms of placements but again, you will not get a preferred branch at the same rank if you are from outside Delhi region.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory Subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects in year 2023, 2024 conducted by respective Boards. Candidates should have secured the mentioned marks in the Class 12th examination or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12th examination conducted by respective Boards. Candidates who are appearing in the Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2025 irrespective of their age, are also eligible. Note: List of qualifying examination(QE): i). The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. ii). Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. iii). Placements: NIT Warangal achieves 80-90% placements. CSE has the highest package of more than 80 LPA. The average salary package offered is 16 LPA. The salary package offered to other branches is around 6 LPA - 10 LPA. Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Tata. Around 70-80% of students got internships. Companies like Microsoft, Qualcomm, and Adobe visit the college. Roles offered include software developer, data analyst, and core engineering positions.

Infrastructure: NIT Warangal offers modern labs, Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, and a well-stocked library for all courses. Hostels have spacious rooms, Wi-Fi, and recreational space. The mess food is decent with a variety of food options. Our canteens offer snacks. A medical center is available 24/7. Sports facilities include cricket, football, basketball, and a gym. Pros and cons of NIT Warangal.

Placements: In biotechnology, last year, 30 out of 59 students were placed, with a maximum 30 LPA package and a median of 15 LPA. There are not many core companies for biotechnology like Biotechnika, so people get placements in non-core fields like software, data analysis, and data scientist-like fields.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is much better in my college compared to other NITs and colleges. We have Asia's biggest hostel and library available. The mess food is average, but for South Indians, it's good. We have proper Ethernet and Wi-Fi available. In sports and medical, all facilities are available.

Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. qualified and have good knowledge. They are well-versed in their subjects except for some faculty. The courses are well-structured, and we are learning many things, but some unnecessary things are also included. Yes, it makes us ready for the industry. Semester examinations are fair and moderate; some teachers make tough question papers, but we have a relative grading system. If you have more than half of the average class marks, then you will pass.

Other: NIT Warangal has very good lab facilities for biotechnology. It has two fests in a year: one cultural and one technical.

Ground reality of my college, NIT Warangal.

Placements: In the biotechnology specialization, placement is sufficient compared to other colleges for the same branch. Placement percentages are around 70 percent, with an average package of around 14 lacs per year. In this course, many people prefer to do higher studies, such as M.Tech and Ph.D.

Infrastructure: The largest hostel of Asian, which is 1.8k, is here. All the first-year boys have to stay here for two semesters. There is a mess named IFC A for the first-year students, which serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. For internet in the hostel, there is a LAN connection in each room.

Faculty: For each semester, there are the following exams you have to take: 1 end sem examination, 40 marks 1 mid-semester exam, 30 marks 2 minor examinations, 15 marks each All the teachers are highly qualified. You have to maintain a minimum attendance of 80 percent for the examination.

Other: Each year, two festivals are organized by the college. One is technical, namely, Technozian, held in the month of December. Another one is the cultural festival, namely, the Springs Spree, which is held during the month of April.

NIT Warangal - Top NIT of India.

Placements: Campus placements are excellent. In the academic year 2022–23, around 82% of students are placed. The overall average package was 17 LPA and the highest package was 88 LPA. Biotechnology's average package was 15.35 LPA, with the highest package being 26 LPA. Around 70% of students get placed in the biotechnology department.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are well maintained. Library facilities are very good, with Wi-Fi, AC and computers too. Wi-Fi is available in colleges. In hostels, LAN ethernet is also available. Mess food is of average quality. Various food shops are available all over the campus. There is a dispensary in college that provides free treatment to students. Sports facilities are excellent in college. The physical education department provides the best sports facilities.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and are very good. There are a number of Ph.D. faculty members from top institutions. The course curriculum is designed to develop the learning of students. There is relatively little grading in exams. Semester exams are held in a proper exam environment. Passing percentage is calculated by relatively grading.

Other: College provides the best learning, research and other opportunities. 'Technozion' and 'Springspree' are technical and cultural fests, respectively. These are South India's biggest technical and cultural fests.

All the facilities are satisfactory on the basis of the performance and results.

Placements: The placement percentage of this branch is 70%. The highest package offered was 26 LPA, with an average package of 15.35 LPA and median of 14 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Serum, and Dr. Reddy. As it is a developing branch, coding becomes a necessary aspect for the upcoming students.

Infrastructure: The classes for the first year students are not well-equipped as compared to the senior years. From second year onwards, the classrooms have ACs along with other good facilities. The hostel facilities are also satisfactory, especially for the second year students. But the distance of the classes from the hostels is quite far.

Faculty: The faculty here is quite friendly but strict too. There is a necessity to maintain 80% attendance or else you would have to repeat the course with your juniors. The course curriculum for the first year students may appear quite difficult but if paid attention in class, they can be cracked easily.

It's not easy for anyone to get admission in NIT Warangal but you can apply through JEE score for undergraduate programme and gate score for post graduate programme.

Hi, Yes there are good amount of placements at NIT Silchar for Electrical engineering. The highest package may go more than 25 LPA while the average package is around 4-6 LPA. Many companies like BPCL, IOCL, Philips etc come for recruitment and the placement percentage is over 90 percent.

Truly speaking there is no chance in any NIT or in any IIITs at this rank. You may get GFTI colleges but can't get CSE or ECE.
