It is a nice college to spend your campus life. Learn not only academics, but also life.
Placements: The college had a very good placement record, and that too in multinational IT companies. Non-IT placements were also there. The placement cell was good and well-planned. The college had a separate building for placement related operations and recruitment drives. I got placed through campus recruitments.
Infrastructure: It is an old college with old buildings but was well-maintained. Each department had separate blocks spread throughout the campus. The campus is also rich in greenery with a lot of trees and shades for spending leisure times. Mens and ladies hostels were also available in the college.
Faculty: Overall, faculty members were good. Although, it actually depended on the departments. Some departments were rich with a lot of qualified faculty members whereas some other departments were in short of faculty members. Such departments depended on a lot of guest lecturers. The behaviour of the office staff was okay.
Other: Arts, sports, games and tech fests used to be organised every year in college. Sometimes, tech fests were also held at the department level.

Good placements in 2014 and a good, friendly atmosphere
Placements: Around 80% of the students got placed in our batch. The average salary offered was around 4 lakhs per annum. Mostly software companies visited and the roles offered was of assistant system engineer. 50 % of students got the internship from the college. I am not sure about the stipend details.
Infrastructure: We got excellent facilities including classrooms and labs. The quality was good. Also, homely food was available in the canteen always. I stayed in a separate paying guest hostel. There were no infrastructure issues during my tenure at the college. The college has got good facilities and a friendly atmosphere.
Faculty: All the faculty members are very friendly and are having good knowledge of the subjects. They uaes the traditional way of teaching along with the new methodologies like powerpoint presentations. There were 18 students in our class. The course curriculum is also useful.
Other: There are courses till M.Tech. My suggestion is to include more courses like MBA and PhD so that a B.Tech graduate from this college can choose his or her higher studies in the same college itself. Also, it is good so that they will get knowledge about which course to take.

Other: This is one of the best colleges. It has a good environment to study and is having one of the best experienced (20-25 years) faculty in Kerala. The demerit I found was the lack of a lab facility for complex experiments. But German made machines are available here. The students get the maximum support from the administration to get stipends and scholarships. The hostel facilities are not bad.

Other: The best in the picks. If you plan to take admission here, don't have any doubts in your mind. Just go. It's worth anything else. You get one of the best campus and faculty here. You can see the experience and quality of education imparted by the teaching faculty. Everything you want under one umbrella. That is NSS Palakkad.
