Great placement opportunities, good atmosphere .
Placements: This year, 82 seniors out of 140 students were placed in many companies through campus interviews. Alstom, Mega Power, L&T, TCS, Wipro, etc., are the major companies recruiting from our department, EEE. Around 3 Lacs per annum is the average salary package, which changes depending on the company.
Infrastructure: Every department gets its own laboratory facilities, department library, and a common central library. Laboratories were equipped and well-maintained. The only drawback is that some lab roofs are made of metal sheets, so in summer, it is very difficult to work there. The temperature rises up to 45 degrees in Palakkad during summer. The college has a common canteen, ladies and men's hostels, and separate hostels for freshers and seniors. The food and accommodation are decent.
Faculty: Teachers and other staff are mostly friendly and try to finish the portion on time. Yes, they make efforts for us. During a semester, the internal marks are calculated based on our performance in internal tests, attendance, tutorials, and assignments. Internal marks are calculated out of 50 marks.
Other: Dyuksha and Noopuram are the main technical and arts events conducted on the campus once every 2 years. Other celebrations like Onam, Christmas, and Kerala Piravi are celebrated on a small scale in the campus auditorium.

Great college with good academics, college life, and placements .
Placements: Currently, I am doing my bachelor's in mechanical engineering at NSS College of Engineering. Almost 80% of students will get placed if they have good academics. The highest package was around 16 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is about 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Tata, Federal Bank, Wipro, L&T, etc. Also, our college provides various internship programs for improving our skills.
Infrastructure: It's the second largest government college in Kerala. Our college contains a main central library, a department-wise library, great lab facilities, and smart classrooms. Also, a large ground is available, and all sports items are promoted here: volleyball, kabaddi, football, cricket, basketball, netball, handball, etc.
Faculty: Teachers and other faculty members are well trained and educated; they all are well-experienced persons. Teaching quality and their behavior towards students are all top level, and our syllabus is a little bit outdated, and we need to grab information and education from extra workshops and internships. The semester exam is simple compared to other universities; the pass percentage is 50%.
Other: Mechanical engineering is the oldest, and it's a versatile course, and in NSS College, mechanical engineering has top-quality teachers and great placements. Although the syllabus needs to be updated. There are many cultural events, party-based programs, etc., and also our college provides scholarships for all sections.

If you're looking for a college, you can choose this college.
Placements: In our batch, around 60% got placement. 10 students had been placed at IBM. 8 LPA is the highest package offered by the company, and the lowest is 2.3 LPA. 4 LPA is the average package. The Associate Engineer role is given to most of the students. Around 500 offers are gotten throughout the years.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is poor. The college doesn’t provide Wi-Fi to students, and classrooms are average. The library is good for studying, but the books in the library are old. Lab facilities in the Computer Science and Engineering department are excellent. Hostel infrastructure is old, but food in the hostel is very good.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent. They are willing to help us in studies, and they are very accessible. Almost every teacher in the department has a Ph.D., and they organize lectures excellently. The curriculum is vast. In most cases, teachers can't complete the full syllabus, but it also promotes industrial visits. The semester exams are difficult, but good preparation helps to perform well in the semester exams.
Other: The emergence of AI and other technologies enhances the scope of Computer Science engineers in the market. It also helps to improve management skills. If the weightage for theoretical papers is reduced, it will help to improve application knowledge. The college conducts an arts fest and tech fest every year, and other cultural and technical events are also conducted in the college throughout the year.

Dynamic campus life with limited industry exposure in civil engineering department.
Placements: NSS College of Engineering has a reputation for providing excellent placements for its students. However, the placement offers received for the department of civil engineering are much less compared to other departments. The highest package ever received was from Shobha, while the least would be from non-core placement offers from various companies. The college is not interested in offering internships, and students have to search for the time and facilities for internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities at this college are quite average. Most of the equipment in the labs is either poorly working or not working at all, which makes it difficult for students to get accurate values. The hostel buildings are quite old, and there are fewer hostels for girls than for boys. The college has a total of four hostels: one for women and three for men. The majority of women have to find accommodation outside the college, and there is no support from the college even though they are not providing the required accommodation facilities for the students.
Faculty: NSS College of Engineering is a good college with satisfactory academics and results. The college also promotes extracurricular activities such as sports. The pass percentage of NSS College of Engineering is good, and the civil engineering department achieved 100% this year.

    NSSCE, A quick overview
Placements: Last year, around 80% of students secured placements, with an increasing trend towards opportunities in non-core fields. The highest package offered was approximately 10 LPA, reflecting a shift in demand for diverse skill sets beyond traditional core roles.
Infrastructure: The campus offers a serene and beautiful environment for studying, surrounded by lush greenery, creating a peaceful atmosphere for learning. However, the classrooms and laboratories remain outdated, lagging behind modern standards and requiring significant upgrades to match current needs.
Faculty: Most of the faculty excel in their respective fields, demonstrating strong expertise in what they do. The curriculum is currently straightforward and easy to follow, while exams are conducted frequently, ensuring consistent assessment and keeping students engaged throughout the academic term.
Other: I always had a thing for applications of physics in real life, and I think Mechanical Engineering is the best at exploring that.

The college is better than most of the private colleges and is very reputed.
Placements: One of the colleges in Kerala in which most of the top companies like Tata Elixer, etc., are coming even during the recession period. There are opportunities if you can work hard. The placements have been good overall, although the number has been reduced due to the current recession.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is old and looks appealing from the outside, but the college contains all the equipment needed for the students. The hostel is very good and contains Wi-Fi. The food is rated very highly as the hostel food is decided by the students themselves.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, as you can expect from a top-rated government college in Kerala. The course is from Kerala Technical University. The course is a little old as compared to the current market standards, but it is relevant enough.
