It is an average college. The administration is not good, but education provided is average.

Placements: As a civil engineering student, I got placed in TCS. About 20 out of 140 students are placed. Only 3 students are placed in core companies that include Vedanta, Alumina and Subudhi associate. There is a placement cell in our college. They are very cooperative. About 43 companies have come for placement drive this year 2017-2018. In the 2016-2017 session, 72 companies came to conduct their placement drives. Almost 90 percent student has got the internship. 3 students get a merit internship in BDA...

Best government college of Odisha state, but the teaching standard needs to be improved.

Placements: The placements offered in the college are decent. But in instrumentation & electronics department, only few core companies visit for the placement, ie. Asian paints, Robert Bosch, etc. rest by the IT companies. But the placement status is very good. But there is a value of college certificate because it is the government. Many students got selected for off-campus placements.

Our college needs to improve its placement scenario.

Placements: The placements for the academic session 2013-17 were pretty much normal. About 70% of the students got placed because our batch strength had increased as compared to our seniors. Most of the companies which recruited from our college were from the software genre, and there were just a handful of core companies. The lowest package was 3 LPA, and the highest was 25 LPA (one student from IT). Most of the students were offered the role of assistant system engineer trainee in software companies.

My experience at CET Bhubaneswar.

Placements: The placements are just like other colleges. TCS and Accenture pick up around 300 students and other companies like Vedanta, Asian Paints also recruit students. Other firms coming on campus include now Floats, Robert Bosch, Sankalp Semiconductors, Gupta powers also visit the campus.

CET is a renowned college, but lacks in providing many facilities.

Placements: The placements of the college are not satisfactory. Only a few good companies visit the campus and hire 15 to 20 students. The others prefer TCS and Accenture etc. The maximum package offered to the students was up to 10 LPA. The average package offered to the students of core branches was 4 LPA. Maruti Suzuki offered 6.5 LPA, Asian Paints offered 9 LPA, and the other core companies offered 7 LPA on an average.

Bad faculty, good placement, average infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Regarding the placement, it scores 90% placements. But most of the companies coming for placement are IT based. The condition of core placement is poor. Companies like TCS, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, EIS, TAS, TRL, Godrej and many more are continuing to hire students every year. Other companies like Microsoft, Nowflotes, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, JSL, NINL and many more multinational companies hunts for the best techies.

The review of College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: The placements were below average. The average CTC was around Rs. 3-3.6 lacs, which is pretty low compared to the state run colleges of other states. Around 60% of our batch was placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 25 lacs. The lowest was around Rs. 2 lacs. Companies like TCS, Vedanta, Asian Paints, Accenture, Maruti Suzuki, etc. visited our campus.

Memorable stay at CET, Bhubaneswar. Worth joining.

Placements: The placement for my batch was 86%. The average CTC for the placed students was 6 LPA and the highest paid salary was 16.3 LPA. Major companies both from information technology and manufacturing came for recruitments. Some of the main recruiters were TCS, Mindtree, TATA Steel, Tata Motors, Maruti, Capgemini, Arvind Textiles, etc. A variety of roles were offered to students which included software engineer, graduate engineer trainee, etc.

Magnificent opportunities and a bright future.

Placements: Placements are done in abundance by software giants like TCS, Accenture and Tech Mahindra. Core companies like Maruti-Suzuki, Robert Bosch, Vedanta and a few others are also some reliable employers. In fact, CET has a record of quality placements in both on-campus and off-campus. Although most of the students here prefer higher studies, still, placements can be stated as a quite qualitative feature of CET. Internships are quite easily available for a CETian. Government agencies like OPTCL also t...

A respected college struggling for a good placement drive.

Placements: The batch of 2017 saw the majority of the placements from companies like TCS, Infosys and Wipro. Very few core branch companies came and very few got placed in them. In my branch which is civil engineering, apart from IT companies, Vedanta and Birla group came. Around 10 percent got placed in them while most of them bagged a job in the IT companies. This trend has been going on for the past few years. Almost everyone gets placed as software engineers but most fail to secure a position in core c...

Placements: 100% placement was achieved in our senior batch. The highest package was 25 LPA, the lowest was 2.8 LPA and the average package was 4.5 LPA. The major companies visited our campus were IT companies. Assistant software engineer trainee and management trainee roles were offered to our students. Overall, my college was good but needs improvement in some fields.

Placements: During the year 2014, the placement was only from IT companies. No core company came that year for placements. So, the maximum number of core branch students was ultimately placed in IT companies. After that year, the core companies are coming to the college for placements. During the year 2014, around 70 percent students got placed in various companies. Placements: The placement in my college is not so bad. Almost 85%-90% students are placed in my batch and in my senior batches, the percentage was high. Good placement statistics and is worth the fees.

Placements: The placements primarily depends on the efforts of student body. The college will not be of much help in this regard. The student placement body has to do all the work. Usually, the placement is good with companies like TCS, Mindtree, Capegemini, etc. There are core companies too like Tata Motors, Asian Paints and a few more. Apart from that, students also participates in off campus on behalf of the college in companies like Musigma, Teksystems where salary package goes up to 6 lakhs per annum.

Placements: The placement percentage was around 93 % for the previous batch (passing out batch of 2016). CET stands as one of the best engineering colleges in Orissa after NIT Rourkela. CET is not a completely developed college but has speedily improved its infrastructure and other facilities for the overall growth of a student in the past two years. There have been new buildings constructed for hostels, libraries etc. There are also several programs for example, TEQUIP under which the college provides several courses to students for free. There are many clubs too which aim at developing the non-te...
