Is B.E. / B.Tech at PES College of Engineering a good choice?

Here's a summary of what students and alumni have said:

Pros:

* Good infrastructure: The college has modern classrooms, laboratories, and libraries.
* Well-qualified teachers: Professors are knowledgeable and experienced in their fields.
* Placement opportunities: While the number of companies visiting may not be high, some students have been placed in reputed organizations like LNTP, Infosys, and TechMahindra.
* Campus life: Students have reported a positive experience living in hostels with facilities like phone, indoor games, and TV rooms.

Cons:

* Limited exposure to top companies: According to some students, only average companies visit the campus for recruitment.
* Low salary packages: The salary ranges mentioned by students (Rs. 2.5 - 4 LPA) seem relatively lower compared to other institutions.
* Old curriculum: A few students have pointed out that the subjects taught are outdated, and there is a need for improvement in the syllabus.
* Limited extracurricular activities: While the college organizes some events, students feel that more emphasis could be placed on extracurricular activities.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Review of P.E.S. College of Engineering.
Placements: I received great support from the placement office. I am thankful to the training and placement cell for providing a platform to enhance my skills and an opportunity to showcase them. Internship opportunities are good in our college.
Infrastructure: Hostels have a lush green environment. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls. Round-the-clock security is available. Phone, indoor games, and television facilities are available in the common room. Rooms are ventilated. Mess facilities are available in the hostel. Solar heaters and water coolers are available.
Faculty: Teachers are good, caring, and supportive. Their teaching quality is good. Exams are conducted on time with strict invigilation. Semester exams are easy to pass, but scoring high is difficult. They provide good quality education and soft skills training with their effective teaching skills.
Other: This college gave us opportunities to meet different people and learn several things. The campus encourages and helps us to develop the ability to adapt. Ragging is strictly prohibited in our college.

Place where you can Grow.
Placements: The percentage of students that were placed in the campus were at a reasonable rate and I would consider calling this percent as moderate rating. The salary range was from 2.5LPA to 4LPA offered by the companies or the industries that were present in campus drive.
Infrastructure: The facility provided by the college such as Labs libraries and classrooms are comfortable upto the mark as expected the labs are equipped with the required devices or instruments needed for the practicals or demos that are to be done for or by the students.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers in the college are helpful as they are highly qualified professionals and are always there for the students. But there is need of a two way communication between the students and the teachers here. They teach the technical skills required.
Other: I choose Electrical engineering as it has a vast range and variety of exposure and versatility in it.

I am actually totally satisfied with my college.
Placements: Placements are excellent in this college. From all over Maharashtra placements cells including technical streams visit our college. Almost average package from this college is 2 to 3.5 lacks per year. In terms of technical placements cell, lot of multinational companies visits our college.
Infrastructure: If we talk about the infrastructure of college, it's one of the finest infrastructure in aurangabad. The classrooms are spacious for around 100 students can sit at a time. Its also got a big campus area for sports as well as hostel. Hostel is also good in condition with proper facilities and safety for girls hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are really cooperative and friendly in nature. They help a lot if some student is stuck in any situation. They are highly qualified with proper guidance and students also follow the disciplines from them which is a good part. The other events like sport and cultural events also are happening. They do support well in this case.

The college is good regarding studies, but don't expect any placements from this college.
Placements: The word placement sounds like a joke for this college. The college has zero placement for my batch. Even the overall placement is zero, as neither any of my junior nor senior, got campus placement. Not even a single company visited my college. The placement cell of college is the worst as they don't put any efforts to provide placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the campus is lush green. Classrooms are quite big and well-ventilated. The college campus has all the basic amenities. The labs are also good with all the equipment. College hostel is the worst part. The rooms are not good and clean. The hostel lacks many basic amenities like water filter and water cooler.
Faculty: Most of the senior faculty are well-educated and have abundant of knowledge. The staff are quite supportive, but there are some junior teachers who just graduated from the college, and they are not at all good in their subjects. Such staff don't even have practical knowledge.
Other: The college does not organise a lot of events. Only a few events were organised which were not up to the mark. The cause of every problem in this college is the dirty caste politics, because of which students suffer a lot.

The teachers are awesome, but college does not give facilities to students.
Placements: The placements in NIT are good because our college is not that big, but the placement happens for every 2-3 years. The placement happens and companies also come, but as compared to students, very fewer vacancies are there. Most companies required CSE, mechanical and EEP students. Most of the students don't have any advantage of campus selection due to fewer vacancies.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi facility for students. The canteen is the worse part of the college, and it is not clean. The library is not good, and books are too old, nothing is good. No medical facilities. The campus is not good and not hi-tech, no CCTV cameras are at the campus. Parking facilities are hilarious because we have to park bikes in the direct sunlight, there are shades but only for college staff.
Faculty: The teachers are good, and they all are always helpful to everyone. The teachers are just brilliant. There is no e-learning facility available at the college. Quality of teaching is good, but I think every college should have projectors and every teacher should carry graphical content in pen drive to teach students in a more pleasant way.
