Absolutely disagreeing with the college attitude.
Placements: It is a better college compared to some colleges but lacks good teachers. The placement depends on their talent, and now, they have started some job fair, and some good companies are coming. They are doing a good job.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi, and there is no sports or ground, but they organise sports once in a year. The classes are okay, but I am not satisfied with that. The library is not good, and there is no digital library, and they are not mandatory, but they are trying to get one.
Faculty: There are good teachers, but they are not qualified to do their job. The faculty help a lot, but they are only thinking about their branch and wish they are doing their job well. Soon, they are starting some projects and teaching some skills to help for higher education.

A name not suitable for the college, don't think its a good college just because of its location.
Placements: The placement is near to zero in this college in the mechanical branch. In the name of placement, some BPOs might come and there were just 2 companies: 1. A merchant navy private company demanding 5 lacs from the student in the starting 2. IBM- They were hiring mostly for non-technical entries. As per the internship is concerned, the students have to find them themselves and the college won't help in finding one. This case has been continuing from my senior batches and graduating students have to find jobs by themselves. There is no pre-placement training given. Only during the first year, those weak in English were given some extra classes.
Infrastructure: There is no open Wi-Fi facility provided to the students. The labs are decent but nothing to shout about. The library is good overall but lacks data-handbooks for the mechanical branch students in sufficient numbers. There is one basketball court and a volleyball court. Sports day is conducted in HMT grounds. The quality of food is average. In the hostel, in one room 3-4 people have to accommodate. The college is having less number of toilets compared to the number of students, which is one real issue in this college.
Faculty: The faculty members, irrespective of the rude management, were absolutely fantastic starting from 1st year till the final year. the HODs were mostly Ph.D holders whereas the faculty members were all post-graduates(M.Tech). They were helpful in nature and always supported a student. The student to faculty ratio would be in the range of 1:55 or 1:60 most probably. My batch was not taken to any industrial visit despite the efforts of students and some faculty members. The curriculum followed is that of VTU and is neither bad nor good.
Other: The students in the college will face numerous problems in the office while collecting certificates, marks-cards etc. The office-bearers are mostly arrogant and high on temper, in nature. Also, if a student wants to get a bonafide certificate, he/she has to pay Rs 100 which is made for free in other colleges or they charge only 10-20% of the above amount. For getting the signature of the principal, a student is made to wait at a minimum of 2 hours and the maximum can be 2-3 days. Students have to follow a dress-code, which is shirt should be tucked in and shoes are compulsory for male students. For the female students, dress-code is traditional Indian dress i.e, salwar-suit. The college is mostly famous because of the dental college attached to the campus, so don't fall for it.

I am not happy with my college because they didn't provide placements and placement training.
Placements: No placements for mechanical. They are not providing any placement training also. Faculty members have very poor knowledge. No one got placed in 2016 from the mechanical branch. They will call some call centres like IBM. No core company for the mechanical branch. They are not giving any ideas regarding the placements and how to face the interviews and also not teaching any extra software like Catia Creo, which is very important for mechanical.
Infrastructure: Not good. It is nice to see the campus from the outside but the facilities in the classroom are very poor. They don't have PPTs in classrooms. Desks are always broken. Fans are not working properly. Labs are the worst (mechanical). Computer labs have old software which is outdated. Machines in the labs are also too old. They just provide a demo and tell us to write the values from the old record book.
Faculty: Some faculty members are really good. They have good knowledge, but most of the faculty members are not up to the mark. Teaching skills are very poor with some faculty members. No industrial visit for the mechanical branch. No extra curricular activities. They are not providing the correct salary to the staff.

Dissatisfied with the placements of the college.
Placements: We were not happy at all by the placement cell of the college which was not putting the effort needed for the placements for the mechanical students. For our batch too, no mechanical companies came at the end of our semesters. The answer they gave after asking about the placements is that the mechanical market is tight and hardly any company is looking out for candidates these days.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure structure, in my point of view, was not at all a good surrounding campus as the college was near local locality between the homes of the people. There was not enough space in the college and we never had any place to play outdoor games except for basketball court and a baseball place.
Faculty: Faculty members were average. But the faculty members of mechanical engineering were not up to the mark. The faculty members had to leave as day by day they were facing problems from the college management.

Review of RGC - Rajiv Gandhi Group of Institution.
Placements: Around 30% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. The average salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. Top recruiting companies for our course are Royal Enfield, Toyota and Tech Mahindra. Top roles offered in our course are design engineer, quality and testing engineer. The highest salary package offered in our course is 3.6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA and the average salary package offered is 2.4 LPA. About 95% of the students got internships in startup companies like Toyota, BHEL, Kirloskar Motors and Mahindra.
Infrastructure: There are average facilities here, and there are no Wi-Fi hotspots. However, there is a good digital library for reference for new books and has good infrastructure as well. In the hostel, the food served is average, and bed facilities and rooms are very short. Medical facilities are available, and there are friendly staff members. The playground is not available.
Faculty: Teachers and their teaching skills are awesome here and friendly. They let you gain not only bookish knowledge but also the knowledge about the outside society and how to get involved in it. The course curriculum makes us always ready for the industrial level of work by overcoming complete hesitation and join the industry with high potential.
Other: It is an interesting stream of engineering, where you can touch and feel the industrial machinery. So, I have chosen it. I wish that our college should provide development skills. Events and fest organised are good. The campus crowd and campus connectivity are also good.
