Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

Pros:

* Good placement record: Most students (around 60-90%) reported getting placed in reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Byju's, and Wipro, with an average salary package ranging from INR2.5 LPA to INR6 LPA.
* Industry-ready curriculum: The course curriculum is designed to prepare students for the industry, making them employable upon graduation.
* Supportive faculty: Many reviewers praised the faculty members, describing them as helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced.
* Good infrastructure: Although not exceptional, the infrastructure, including classrooms, labs, and campus facilities, is considered satisfactory.
* Extracurricular activities: The college hosts various events, festivals, and sports competitions, providing students with a well-rounded experience.

Cons:

* Limited hostel facilities: Not all students may find accommodations within the campus, requiring external arrangements.
* Slow Wi-Fi speeds: A few reviewers mentioned that the Wi-Fi connectivity in labs could be improved.
* Unhelpful faculty in some cases: A minority of students felt that some faculty members lacked enthusiasm and didn't provide adequate support.

Conclusion:
While B.E/B.Tech at SAL Institute might not offer exceptional infrastructure or state-of-the-art amenities, its strong placement record, industry-ready curriculum, and supportive faculty make it a worthwhile investment for aspiring engineers. However, students should weigh these advantages against potential limitations like limited hostel facilities and slow Wi-Fi speeds.

Note: Individual responses may vary depending on personal preferences, academic backgrounds, and expectations. These findings are based on aggregated reviews and should not be taken as a guarantee of success.

It provides good teachers and campus. But no placements are provided.
Placements: Around 60 students batch and don't give placements for any one of them. No companies are visiting for given placements. There are many types of roles like an assistant engineer and superior engineer. Top companies of course are torrent power and many other government companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Laboratories are very good provided by this college. Classrooms are very good, clean, and also big. The library is the most useful place in this college life. The hostel facility is also good, and the canteen is excellent, and it provided is provided at a reasonable price.
Faculty: Teachers of this college are very intelligent, responsible, and carrying and teaching style is very easy and impressive. But exam in this college is not helpful for future assist, and it is only a book topic is studied, not other practical experiments are given for the faculty members.
Other: Electrical engineering is the heart of engineering, and it is also called the evergreen branch because of demand.

Good college and good campus atmosphere.
Placements: Hello everyone I'm passout electrical engineering student and there are 50% ratio for placement criteria. The highest salary for sal institute is 3.3 lac per Annum in 2019 by amazon and the lowest is 1.2 lac. Maybe 60% student did internship in various company.
Infrastructure: College instructor is very ambitious and attractive and in electrical engineering field there are lot of equipments for practical in lab, in library you will get enough books for reading. Point to be noted sal college hostel is not too good. College has giant play ground for various games like cricket, football and even for indoor games there are good facilities.
Faculty: According to my point of view Professors are helpful and good in teaching, Teaching quality is also good but not too high. Yes as an electrical engineer you can ready for core electrical industries. You can explore your self for the new technologies.
Other: For me I choose this course because I was deeply interested in explore new things in machines and component and best thing about this course is GROWTH. You can growth once you learn things. I think teaching quality should be improve more. PANASHE, Cultural festival, Navratri this kind of events are organise in sal college.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty.
Placements: Not so much good The company's are not so good The package they gives are not so good But previous years our senior get much good placement than our. Other package of salary is so good. Principle of this college is good. But so many political activity held in college that is worth of time.
Infrastructure: It has good class room than other colleges like taken this fees. The sport activities are organised well. The labs of all subjects are not present in the college or the Wi-Fi is not available in this college. And not so good medical facilities in this college.
Faculty: The teacher and faculty are not so help in this college like other colleges. I think the teaching quality is so poor. The have given to writing assignment and practicals. But not give practical knowledge. We do not get industry exposure. They have used old teaching methods.

If you want to do electrical engineering, then this college is a better option.
Placements: The placements on the campus are good. The placement cell works hard to get the students placed, and even I got placed. The college will invite companies for the personal interview, and the students get placed with the help of faculty members. There are good placement facilities on the campus, and there is no doubt about the placements. If you are complete as per the requirements of a company, then definitely you will get selected on the campus.
Infrastructure: All the electrical instruments are available for experimental purposes, and at present, they developed a new high-voltage laboratory. All the subject instruments are available in laboratories, and all are working perfectly.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and well-experienced, and they have great knowledge of the subjects, and they have great experience in teaching. They cover the syllabus given by Gujarat Technological University. The course curriculum is easy to understand and to clear the exam.
Other: Many events such as various days, tech fest, Garba, etc., are organised on the campus. The scholarships are provided to eligible students.

SAL Technical Campus is not much of a technical college.
Placements: The college placement cell has a great team of people lead by Prof. Miss Simple Doshi, who is very helpful. It turns out that the companies coming for placements aren't that great. The packages offered are average compared to the hard work the job demands. However, the placement experience is adequate sometimes when a big firm like Byjus shows up. Contemplating with the crowd is difficult.
Infrastructure: On a scale of 1-10, I guess a strong 6 is the most. The technical labs aren't well-equipped, but the computer labs are good. The campus is great, but the canteen food is not so great. The classrooms are quite spacious. The grounds and ambience of the college are good.
Faculty: Though the college offers a large list of courses to select from, personally I find that most of the faculty members lack the core knowledge about the subject which makes the class boring like a cramming up session rather than an educational one. The lab attendants are great and helped us out a lot.
Other: Even though people do put some efforts in the technical and other fests, the fests remain boring. The college Navratri gig and the technical expo are a great blast. The connectivity is awesome as it is inside the city limits, and bus, car, uber, all are available. It's next to Science city, so you can bunk.
