Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

Pros:

* Good placement record: Most students (around 60-90%) reported getting placed in reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Byju's, and Wipro, with an average salary package ranging from INR2.5 LPA to INR6 LPA.
* Industry-ready curriculum: The course curriculum is designed to prepare students for the industry, making them employable upon graduation.
* Supportive faculty: Many reviewers praised the faculty members, describing them as helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced.
* Good infrastructure: Although not exceptional, the infrastructure, including classrooms, labs, and campus facilities, is considered satisfactory.
* Extracurricular activities: The college hosts various events, festivals, and sports competitions, providing students with a well-rounded experience.

Cons:

* Limited hostel facilities: Not all students may find accommodations within the campus, requiring external arrangements.
* Slow Wi-Fi speeds: A few reviewers mentioned that the Wi-Fi connectivity in labs could be improved.
* Unhelpful faculty in some cases: A minority of students felt that some faculty members lacked enthusiasm and didn't provide adequate support.

Conclusion:
While B.E/B.Tech at SAL Institute might not offer exceptional infrastructure or state-of-the-art amenities, its strong placement record, industry-ready curriculum, and supportive faculty make it a worthwhile investment for aspiring engineers. However, students should weigh these advantages against potential limitations like limited hostel facilities and slow Wi-Fi speeds.

Note: Individual responses may vary depending on personal preferences, academic backgrounds, and expectations. These findings are based on aggregated reviews and should not be taken as a guarantee of success.

The only good point about this college is its fests and sports activities.
Placements: I don't recommend this college for graduation. The quality of education is not up to the mark. The placement record of the college is very poor. Hardly few companies visit the campus offering the salary of Rs. 8,000 to 10,000 per month. These are not the core companies of any engineering field. The only pro I see in this institute is it has good cultural fests and sports activities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not up to the mark. It is still under construction. A lot of things related to the infrastructure are in progress. Drinking water facilities on this campus are very poor. The college canteen is very poor and does not serve the quality food, but the prices are high. The laboratories are very poor, and you cannot see even enough equipment. Ventilation in the labs is very poor. Washrooms are very dirty.
Faculty: The faculty members are not as experienced as required. Teachers are helpful, but they lack qualification and knowledge. The quality of teaching is not promising. They only try to help students to clear the exams. But, there are few exceptions where faculty members are qualified, and the way of their teaching is very good. The teaching methods are simple, chalk and blackboard are used. Hardly any industry exposure is provided to the students of software related branches.
Other: The fests and other activities in the college are very good. Especially, the sports activities are really enjoyable.

Satisfied with good infrastructure and facilities
Placements: Placements of our batch were average. The packages offered by companies were between 1.5 to 2 LPA. Companies offered roles of junior engineer and in marketing. Mahindra and Mahindra, Power Plaso, PCB Planet, Niifa, Skillventry, etc. visited during the placement season on the campus. All those students who wanted internships had to find companies on their own.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in SAL are well-equipped and clean. Labs are having all the instruments and equipment which are required in the curriculum. The college is having Two large grounds in which all the sports can be played. There is no facility of a hostel in SAL. The college has every facility that can be required as per the curriculum.
Faculty: The overall experience with faculty members was very good. They were having enough knowledge required to have in any faculty member. Faculty members were student-oriented and a majority of subjects were taught on the blackboard. During the course, we weren't exposed to any industry. The curriculum had every subject that can be required to work in the industry.

Other: You should take admission in this college only if you want to study by yourself, no one in this college will complete the 100% syllabus and there is no support from the faculty, as well as from the management. You will enjoy the crowd here and also the campus life but. This is one of the worst colleges that I have ever seen.

Other: Nothing good about the college except how big it is. A college which is teaching English engineering text in Gujarati. No exposure to new industries. No internships. All you can get from it right now is it is the biggest campus in GTU in Ahmedabad. Good things about the campus is that there is a football and cricket ground.
