Placements: Due to large number of branches in mechanical domain, the importance for ADE branch (companies prefer mechanical branch) is diminishing. Only 50 percent of the 2018 branch is placed and only 30 percent of the batch is placed in core domain. There is a placement cell whose interaction with our branch is too miniscule.
Placements: The placement is at an average level. The students who got placed earlier were non-IT students. Few students got placed in core companies, they are not that bad companies too. Few companies like Dell, HP and other companies visit the college for placements. So, the placements here are a kind of above average.
Placements: Right now, in the automotive design branch, the placements are going on. 50% of the students are placed. Tough decisions are made by students because they have to sit in CIT companies also. In our senior batch, 44 students are placed out of 72 which is quite good, but for the last consecutive 10 years, the placements are getting reduced.
Placements: The placements are good. Good companies visit the campus, but the placement office people are not that much cooperative. The package that company offers is less compared to IITs and NITs. The placement cell people are partial for some branches as in some branch people have got double placement as well, but in other branches, opportunity is not given.
Placements: The placements in some mainstream branches like APEU and downstream, ADE, chemical are still going on, but till 2021 it will also decrease. The placements for other branches are poor or, not worth it. The placements for the previous 4 years were good, but in upcoming four years, the placements of flagship stream are going to come down. This year (2018) placements were very poor in my branch, that was considered to be its flagship branch.
Placements: Placements are decreasing as years are passing by. The reason is that number of students is increasing, and due to demonitisation, the companies are not hiring students. Our senior's batch faced same issues as 33/61 were placed and the highest package offered was 6 LPA, so after giving 20 LPA, no one wants 6 LPA package. Coming to companies, we have a decent number of companies visiting the campus, internships are a serious matter of concern here, as we don't get permission from the college to i...
Placements: When we talk about placements, it is totally based on your performance throughout this course. Also, you cannot depend on this university for the placements because no company is coming to this university. If I am talking about my branch, then there is no hope for the placements.
Placements: The placements have been average for my batch since 2014. Only 60% of my senior batch got placed with the highest package being 6.30 LPA offered by Maruti Suzuki, and the average being approximately 3 LPA. In 2014-18 batch, 50% of the students got placed. The average salary is the same at 3 LPA.
Placements: Most of the people get placed in IT firms and only a few companies from the core industry visit. The package offered seems too low considering the sum college takes as fees. Some senior placement coordinators even go to the extent of saying that the students buy their degrees, which in turn buys them jobs. Doesn't feel like an educational institution.
Placements: During 1st year placement, the students were getting more than 100% placement, but nowadays, the placements are very bad. Only, 20-30 students were getting placed in a batch of 100-120. The highest package of the branch is not more than 6-7 lakhs per annum, and the average package is 3-4 lakhs per annum. The companies come, but they choose mechanical students and ignore the students from our branch.
Placements: For aerospace, placement is low in India, as it is still a developing field. I would say placement is below average. Internships are provided by the university. Major companies like Rolls Royce and Honeywell came this year, and Mahindra Aerospace comes every year.
Placements: The placements have dropped drastically when compared to the batches, which passed out 3 to 4 years back. A few companies related to automobile have turned up. Mostly the job is for the business development. Major core companies include Mahindra, MAN Trucks, Ashok Leyland, Maruti, KPIT, Hyundai. The internship is compulsory for every student, and the performance is evaluated in the college. The average salary offered to our batch is 3 LPA.
Placements: The placements are 100% but not in core companies. They send you somewhere in IT sectors but will give you 100% placement. Some students got placed in core companies. In the name of them, they will try to impress you, and take admission. But in my opinion, please don't take admission in this college. They are taking too much money and don't listen to you after your admission.
Placements: The placement is average just like other private colleges in India. There are good opportunities. If you can strive them fine, then you can end up being at a good place. Still, I don't personally think it's worth spending 2 months for 3 lakhs package.
Placements: As per the UPES facebook placement updates, the information which I have gained about this year (2017) placement is as follows, the overall average package in the college is 4 lakhs per annum which include both CIT and non-CIT. As everyone knows, this college is basically famous for its petroleum branch (upstream and gas). The average package in these two branches is a little bit higher than the college average package approximately with 5 lakhs per annum package. However, two students of the up...
Placements: The placements are fine. It's good for computer science branches, but there are a lot of problems in non-computer science branches like aerospace and mechanical etc. I think the college should do something regarding placements for non-computer science branches as it is taking too much fees.
Placements: Some seniors have done their internship from abroad which was done absolutely on their own with a little help from the faculty. The university also gives you full support in the placements only if you have crossed the bar of getting a minimum of 7.5 GPA in your semesters.
Placements: The overall placement offered in UPES is satisfactory but this is not the case with our aerospace engineering as the college administration is unable to attract some significant companies related to the branch and the placement percentage was nearly 10% last year. As per our final year seniors, we should start to find startups and contacts for further higher studies so that we can gain much from this course as the college is unable to provide the good package even to those who are placed through...
Placements: This year, 90% of the students got placed. Most companies visited the campus and based on their selection procedure, they selected the candidates for GD, PI session. This year, the highest package offered was around 14 lpa, the lowest package was around 3.1 lpa. Most of the students got the average package of 4.06 lpa. This year, Tech Mahindra and Honey Well recruiters visited the campus.
Placements: This year, there haven't been any placements as of 2017 batch. For 2018 batch, the companies are of aviation domain. The placements are usually in IT or mechanical domain companies, which are not many. If one wants a good placement after B tech in this branch, I would say go for IITs drop after 12th if that's what it takes. It will be worth it. If you are interested in higher studies, then you can opt for this course in UPES.
