The Scottish Church College.
Placements: The college placements were good. Many companies came, and TCS was one of the top recruiting companies. Back support was primarily offered as the fresher's role. They were big and reputable companies offering good packages of around 3 Lacs per annum. Interviews were also conducted.
Infrastructure: Classrooms were big and spacious, with lots of rooms. Each classroom had big fans, one teacher's table, and plenty of chairs for students to sit down and write. The canteen was awesome. We used to have so much fun there while sipping a cup of chai. They also had a playroom.
Faculty: The best part were the courses and teachers. The faculty were hardworking enough to ensure the courses were taught properly. They had a slight Bengali accent, but they managed to use both English and Bengali to teach the students, which was commendable.
Other: Unlike other colleges, Scottish Church College faculty always took regular classes and they gave proper notes.

Scottish Church College Review.
Placements: Total 35 students are in this course. You can get a good internship after graduation. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, and TCS come to offer jobs. However, it's the students' job to secure them. But it's actually good training.
Infrastructure: Scottish is a gigantic campus with numerous buildings. The JB building was newly built and contains good Wi-Fi and a canteen. It has another building known as MLB Building, which is as good as the main building. The canteen is also excellent.
Faculty: The teachers are always very helpful, whether in any course. They give students extra attention for their betterment. The faculty is excellent. You get a good feeling and positive vibes as you enter the campus. You will feel better and satisfied as you see the college.

A really supportive faculty with a deep history of success in various time periods.
Placements: About the batch of 2020-2023, it had a total strength of 40+ students. While graduating, many of them were given the opportunity to delve into competitive examinations where preparations were given adequately while many pursued their own passions like that of music, etc. Infact, top recruiting companies like that of TCS and others arrived for campus placement for us. However, in the case of internship, it had a minimal percentage while others chose from outside the college premises.
Most of them have an idea of pursuing history that the only path left is that of the competitive examinations. However, one can really become-

6. Compiler
7. Editor
8. Translator and Transcriptor
And, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, having the heritage of that of the British era, are spacious with adequate lighting and facilities of fan.
While in the two boys hostel and one girls hostel, facilities of sanitation, drinking water(chilled) facility is available while games whether indoor or outdoor is available , just same as that of the boys and girls common room. However, the playground of the college is a bit far towards bagmari bridge.
Faculty: In the case of faculty, a supportive faculty of 4 professors and 1 Vice Principal is said to be promising that helps in the all round development of inquisitiveness and curiosity for knowledge, and in turn in studies. The syllabus which is following has a current touch with today's time. While it do helped us, the semester exams tends to be a challenge to exhibit our skills in creative but crisp writing where the pass percentage is to be 40% with attendance carried few marks upto 60%.
Other: However, the best thing that I liked while I chose the course is for the knowledge that we want to learn. That helps to not only arm ourselves around the present detrimental environment but to prepare ourselves to counter such. However, with the absence of the fest since 2019, one might find the college life to be bland. But one must keep in mind to get the advantages of the learning that is being imparted - for which we are having the adequate advantages like admissions in university like that of Jadavpur University or the University of Calcutta or Biswa Bharati University.

Review of Scottish Church College.
Placements: Around 10% of students got placed in our course. The salary package offered for our course ranges between 1.5 LPA - 8 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course were TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, Genpact, etc. Our college had not provided internships. Top roles offered for our course were business development associate, financial services consultant, unit manager, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college and hostel was excellent. High-speed Wi-Fi was available in our college. All libraries were well-maintained. Our college provided a separate library for all departments. Smart classrooms were available in our college. Washrooms were clean and hygienic. The hostel rooms were well-maintained. The warden took special care of all hostel students. Canteen offered healthy food items and occasionally junk food items and took care of proper hygiene. The food served in the canteen was at affordable prices.
Faculty: Teachers were well-qualified, knowledgeable, and quite helpful. They guided each student on an individual basis. Their teaching quality was excellent. They made lesson plans to present each subject in a best-simplified manner. The questions in semester exams were standard and based on the practical application of theories. The pass percentage of our department in 2022 was 100%.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in economics as a subject, and I want to take economics as an optional subject for civil service examinations. Since most of our college days went during the pandemic, we somehow lacked the proper interaction in our classes. Our college conducts an annual Caledonia fest every year, but this could not happen for the last three years due to covid. We have an inter-college departmental fest called Converge, which is a grand success. I am satisfied with this college experience and the knowledge I acquired during my course.

Scottish Church College is one of the most prestigious heritage colleges.
Placements: There is a placement cell in our college that manages placement-related issues. As a student of history, I focused on doing my master so I have little knowledge about placements. I can say that our college gives everything that a student needs during pursuing any course.
Infrastructure: There are hostel facilities in our college. The infrastructure is very good. All classes have smart class technology. Food in the canteen is also of good quality. College provides various sports competitions. Also during any medical emergency immediate treatment is provided.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They always help students in solving doubts and try to solve any problem related to that subject. Semester exams are tough and scoring more than 6-7 CGPA will help u in master's and other fields. My course is not industry-related so can't tell you about that.

Life at Scottish Church College is the best you could expect.
Placements: There are no placements in Hubert college that come under Calcutta University. Scottish, being one of those colleges, does not offer any placements for its students. I wish to see betterment in the placement section in our college. Hopefully, it will do better in the upcoming days.
Infrastructure: The college is well-equipped with huge classrooms with projectors, screens, whiteboard microphones, enough lights, and fans to accommodate the students. Scottish Church College also has a library with more than 3000 books on different topics. It has a supply of clean cold water and has 2 cafeterias that are very pocket friendly. It also has hostels for needy students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in this course. They are also well-experienced and knowledgeable but they prefer to give the lecture in a very lucid manner. So that it is easy for everyone to understand and grasp the topic better. We also get to attend at least a seminar once a month for the betterment in our knowledge and direct interaction and debate.
Other: The facilities and opportunities that Scottish Church College provides to its students are worth mentioning.
