Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) - Batch of 2023

Getting into my Dream College.
Placements: Roughly, 80 percent of a batch gets placed. Over 400 companies come here to tale campus placements every year and the average package is somewhere around 17 L per annum. The highest packages are offered by the HFT companies coming for quant researcher roles. The package may vary from few Lacs to 1.2-1.3 crore per annum.
Infrastructure: The academic infrastructure is built exceptionally well. All the lecture halls/classes and buildings are air conditioned. Some departments are old but still very well maintained. For hostels, newer hostels 15-16 and 18 are having good infrastructure and facilities. Older hostels are being demolished now.
Faculty: Faculty members are very nice. The professors are very good in teaching and they have good knowledge of their subjects. Exam pattern depends on professor to professor. In most cases, we at least have a mid-sem and an end-sem exam for the course. We get letter grades which are relatively graded.
Other: I gave the JEE Advanced examination in 2019 and secured an All India Rank under 1000. I preferred college over any branch since I was yet to explore other fields and find out where my interest lies. Hence I chose IIT Bombay, Mechanical which was the best option available to me.

This college is very good, and many opportunities are waiting for students.
Placements: Placements were good in our college, and professors were also helpful. The highest salary package offered was 30 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges from 22 LPA to 27 LPA. It depends on students and they will get easily internships anywhere in the world.
Infrastructure: In this college, Wi-Fi was average. The speed was fine because most student use college Wi-Fi at the same time but laboratories, classroom, and library were very good. The facilities were good but students can get problem with food as some time there were many high spices in the food and oily also. The medical was very good, and my friends were in sports and they were on a national level but I was not interested in sports.
Faculty: Professors were very knowledgeable but they will not understand the pain of students. They make the paper very hard. The course was related to the industry but if students applied for internships it will be more beneficial for students.
Other: In this college, events were not held.

There are fantastic sports facilities and faculty members.
Placements: There was an increase of 5% in the average salary package, i.e., it was increased to 21.96 LPA when compared to the previous year. The highest salary package offered was 32.8 LPA. There were offers from 16 new recruiters. Top participants were Bristlecone, GEP, Synergy Consulting, TresVista and ZS Associates, among others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available here includes right from a full-size tennis court to an Olympic-sized swimming pool, gymnasium, sports ground and many more. The good thing is that the library is well stocked. If there is a shortage of any book, you always have access to the IITB central library, which has every journal, book and subscription you would need. The classrooms are spacious, air-conditioned and have all the required facilities such as projectors, etc. In the first year, in the hostel, every room is given on a twin-sharing basis, i.e., two students stay in every room. In the second year, every student has an individual room. Room facilities are quite good. There is a provision of a proper cupboard (almirah) to store your clothes and other items that you would be bringing.
Faculty: Every faculty member here is highly qualified, and many of them have multiple publications in famed research journals. The course curriculum is divided into core courses and elective courses. In the first year, only core courses are provided, which are basic courses to build up a base of all the domains such as finance, marketing, IT, strategy, operations, etc. For the second year, there are complete electives wherein students can choose the subjects as per their preference of specialising in a particular domain of choice. The exam follows a semester pattern, and every semester is divided into two terms. Both the terms have entirely different subjects, and the exams are conducted as per the IITB calendar.

It is the best college in India, and I suggest you join it.
Placements: About 50 students have studied with me during this course. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies here were Reliance Industries, Tata Sons and Wipro. About 98% of students got internships, and the companies which offered internships were Wipro and Reliance Industries. Top roles offered in our course were product manager, operation executive and project developer in marketing.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is just amazing here because the campus of this university is just incredible, i.e., there is no need to go anywhere else because there are all facilities on the campus only. Wi-Fi, labs and libraries are well managed. They take care of all the diet of students, and meals served here are rich in protein due to the nutritionists. There is all the sports equipment here, and they are world-class.
Faculty: The teachers here are well qualified, and they provide complete knowledge to every student. They clear doubts of the students personally with available sources. They make students industry-ready without taking help from others. The semester exams are also very easy, but only you need to do is you should study because teachers make all the efforts and make the exams easy. The pass percentage is 95.3%.
Other: This course has increased demand day by day in the world, and it's the most preferred choice globally. The campus increases the glory of the college due to its natural beauty and many more. Activities are arranged here every month to improve students knowledge. It is one of the best colleges globally.

Q:   Which one is better for a MBA, SJSOM IIT Bombay or MBA, IIM Ahmedabad?

A:

Without a doubt, IIM Ahmedabad is the best university for MBA programs and is ranked #1 in the NIRF ranking for 2023.

However, there are additional benefits to pursuing an MBA programme at SJSOM IIT Bombay:

  • Opportunity to study with some of the brightest minds in India from IITs/NITs/IIITs/BITs/COEP.
  • Because SJMSOM has consistently given the CAT score a high percentage weighting (70% in the Interview Shortlist and 45% in the Final Shortlist), the class is largely made up of some of the best brains in the nation who have aced the CAT exam (General Trend >98% in CAT for General Category students). This is not the case with the annoying trend that IIMs have been following lately, which is to reduce the weightage to CAT percentile at the expense of unimportant factors like diversity and the class 10% and class 12%, among others.
  • Placements and roles available: IIT Bombay offers a variety of roles in addition to placement statistics. The positions and pay are comparable to those at the best B-Schools.
  • Industry Connect - General Management Firms - TAS, Adani Group, Reliance Industries, FMCG, E-Commerce, BFSI etc.
