Sharda School of Engineering and Technology Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,Greater Noida

Placements: Placements in CSE/IT are good from Sharda University. Companies like IBM, Tech Mahindra, Think and Learn, TCS, etc. visit the campus every year for placement drive and the department is well associated with other companies to provide internships to students. The maximum number of students from the department are placed every year. Highest salary offered till date is 12 lacs per annum and the minimum is 3.5 lpa package.

Placements: The placements are really good. Sharda University has many tie-ups with the organisation which comes every year to recruit the final year students. As per the interest, almost every kind of organisation arrives at Sharda University. The organisation has attractive packages for the freshers. Though the college has been established in 2009, the college students got some good packages by companies like Tech Mahindra, Emison etc.

Placements: The placement was decent. I got placed with Tech Mahindra with a package of 3.5 LPA and most of my friends got placed either with NTT Data, Accenture, Global Logic or other big companies. The average price we got was 3 LPA. Even the chaps from other branches got placed in CS companies and they got placed by applying in off-campus placements.

Placements: The companies were generally from IT sector. Very few core companies initiate placement activities. Even if they do come, they offer very low packages as per industry standards. However, certain companies did offer a decent package as per industry standards. Companies such as TechMahindra, HP, IBM, Infosys offer a package of maximum 3.5 lpa. Placements: Placements in biotechnology are not good as expected but its okay. It'll give a job of 3.5 lakh per annum. In the CSE branch and in Electrical, it's quite good as their packages go to 6-7 LPA. Mahindra Tech, Indian Army, Infosys and Sun Pharmaceutical are some companies that visited. They select students on their overall performance in the college, in group discussion round and in their personal interviews.

Placements: Very few students (10-20%) get placement in biotech core companies. However, there is still an option for students to interview in tech companies. A biotech student is eligible for applying in a tech company and that increases the chance for placement. Service companies like TCS, Infosys 'may' visit the campus, however, they've not visited in the last few years.

Placements: The placement here are good but the packages offered by the companies are not that good. Core companies are not that frequent to the college for placements. Companies like Tech Mahindra are regular and are mass recruiters for the college. The placement department is helpful to the students.

Placements: The placements at Sharda University are average. Companies visiting the campus offer CTC in the range of 2-3 lakh. Core electronics companies do not visit the campus. Most of the companies hire for management or IT position. The highest package offered was 6 lpa by Think and Learn. If you are a CS student, you could get more opportunities for placement than others as the T&P department is very biased and some jobs of even sales profiles are reserved for CS students while students of other branch...

Placements: The students get placed but the core companies do not visit very often. Every consecutive year the placement rate increases. The placements are in the technical sales side, as per the requirement of the market nowadays. Core job opportunities are also there but that involves a lot of selection steps.

Placements: The placement is good for branches other than the mechanical. There was hardly any visits from the core companies, except for 2 to 3 companies. Indian Navy visited for recruitment. Scoring 85 % and with good communication skills, I was offered a package of 1.5 lpa. The fees for my course was 1.8 lpa.

Placements: Placements for the senior batch were good as most of the students got placed in the companies related to electrical and mechanical. Placements for Biotech Company was less but still some students got placed in the companies related to biotech. 98% of the students got placed and the highest package was taken by one student that was about 6 LPA and the lowest was 1.5 LPA and the average package offered was about 2-2.5 LPA. Placements: Honestly, if I talk about the placements, I would say it was just 3 star out of 5 star. Appropriately 70% students were placed. The highest package was 3.60 LPA and the lowest was 2.0 LPA. Companies which have visited the campus were Tech Mahindra, NTL, HCL, Wipro, etc. All the companies offered engineer jobs. The students who have score less than 60% in four years are not eligible to sit for placements.

Initially, I thought I have made a wrong decision by taking admission in this university, but as the days passed and from the knowledge I have learned in my B.Tech (CSE) have helped me to get placed in reputed company. Sharda has good placement for computer branch. If you want to take admission in Greater Noida then Sharda University is the best option. It is secure and safe as well.
