The college is A grade, absolutely a very good college, and the facilities are also good.
Placements: The Shivaji College placement cell organizes internship fairs, lectures, seminars, and industry visits to help students in learning the nature of the workplace. It also invites several reputed companies and organizations to participate in the Shivaji College placements program. The Shivaji College placement cell organized a job and internship fair, and more than 35 companies interviewed around 450 students there. The college has a placement record of 50-60%. Students have received salary packages ranging from Rs 2.20 to Rs 3.6 LPA. The highest package offered to the students during the Shivaji College placements was Rs 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel in our college, but it is constructing a hostel in the college. I visited this building of our college. The rooms are very large. There is the facility of fans in our college. And there is the facility of Wi-Fi in our college. There is greenery around the college campus and hostel. There is the facility of electricity 24 hours in our college. There is also the facility of a bank and ATM.
Faculty: Teachers teach in a very easy language so both students can understand. Our teachers are the best teachers in all over the college. They give us notes, and when we have any doubts, we go to our teachers, who are always ready to help all students.
Other: Every year our college organizes a festival for the entertainment of students, and this function is called VIBRATIONS. It also organizes an annual function at the end of the year to distribute prizes to the students who got good positions in the previous year's academic record. A teacher is a person who not only teaches academic subjects or any course but also changes the overall life of a student. Our teacher focuses on the personality of the students and tries to remove the inner darkness of illiteracy and fill the light of knowledge in the inner will of his students.

Good college and you can get admission with a lower CUET score as well.
Placements: There were almost 150 students. The highest average package was 19 Lacs, and the lowest was almost 5-6 Lacs. There were many companies, like Tata, etc. Almost 30-40% got placement. The placement system is good, and good companies offering jobs come to the college. You can simply get a job.
Infrastructure: Very nice infrastructure. The problem was mosquitoes. The hostel is not in Shivaji College, University of Delhi, but the buildings are good, with good cleanliness and management. The cleaning staff was a little rude, but the work was done well. No problem was related to this.
Faculty: Very hardworking staff and supportive students. Never do we have to panic because teachers tell us everything properly. Some issues were related to the admin office; they sometimes don't come to the office for many days. Students who have work can't complete their work.
Other: I want to pursue my studies in English; that's why I took this course.

Good infrastructure and faculty, and satisfied with the placements .
Placements: The placement of my college is not at all good as per my B.A., and I do not find so much good placement in our college because maximum placements are provided to the management category and not so many companies visit for college as it is a government college.
Infrastructure: So talking about the infrastructure, we have multiple courts for playing volleyball and basketball and even indoor games like carrom and table tennis. The food in the mess is good as the maintenance of hygiene is very good and seeing as the classes and labs are well furnished all over, the infrastructure is well maintained for you.
Faculty: We have a good faculty of teachers with vast knowledge and we have extracurricular activities in our college. The faculty in our college have a lot of experience in teaching and we have semester-wise exams. We also have weekly surprise tests.
Other: College fests, department fests, and inter-house competitions are organized. Scholarships are provided by the college .

Review of Shivaji College, University of Delhi.
Placements: College placements cell is very hardworking and understanding. Top students have successfully been placed. Some of our college alumni hold very good packages, and they also passed out from the campus where we are studying now. So, it depends on our hard work.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is very beautiful, with its complementary garden and stunning buildings. But, some classes are made of bamboo, and I don't know why they are built. They are deteriorating beauty and environment of the beautiful college campus.
Faculty: The faculty of the college campus is very supportive and understanding, and they are also good at teaching their respective subjects. Exams are conducted in a very organised manner, so no recognised activity should be neglected.
Other: College holds some fests, an annual function, and sports activities. The number of students studying there is not very high, so it can feel crowded on the campus.

College is good, but according to their fee, the college facilities are not good.
Placements: This college is one of the best in the off-campus sector, but the syllabus of the teacher is not completed in the semester, and this college gives 40-60% of placement. The highest average package is INR 14 LPA, and the minimum average package is INR 4.5 LPA. 45% of students get internships from the college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, lab, classroom, and library are good, but the old building infrastructure is not good, and the lift in the college is only for view, not for use. Medical facilities are also provided by the college, but they are not inside the college. Half of the college playground is on lease.
Faculty: Many of the teachers are helpful and qualified, but some teachers are not helpful and don't cooperate with students. Their teaching quality is good, but they are not supportive of students. Passing in the semester is easy as the exams are not hard. Supplements for students are provided.
Other: I chose this course because in my school, I didn't get geography, and as geography is part of the UPSC syllabus, it was necessary to learn it. Events, fests, connectivity with other colleges are not good, and the crowd is also not so much.

Good faculty but no placements, college life and crowd is good but infrastructure could be better.
Placements: Their is no placement as such in college. The placement cell is there but it doesn't really provide useful or good placements. Mostly students opt for Masters after their Bachelor degree or either prepare for competitive exams like UPSC, etc. You can still apply for off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very bad. The washrooms are really hygienic in the old building, but they're still better in the new building. The fans are also sometimes not working properly. The classes are sometimes held in bamboo rooms in summer, and one can easily get unconscious due to the eating up of the roof. The library is the only good thing in college. There is no hostel facility.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. All of them have their Ph.D. degrees from renowned universities. They are hired after clearing several exams and interviews. This course in itself isn't sufficient. You need to do Masters to get good placements. The semester exams happen once in every semester, and they are relatively easy. An average student can clear it too. The pass percentage is 6.6 CGPA.
Other: The crowd is from all across the country. Societies are very good and active. They conduct several events throughout the year, providing exposure, and personality also improves. Annual festival happens every year called 'VIBRATIONS' which is quite good. Different programs are conducted, and a singer is called on the last day.

Here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Infrastructure: The college has a mix of old and new buildings. While the new Jijabai Block is impressive, the old building requires improvement. Facilities like Wi-Fi, laboratories, and a library are available.

Teaching Staff: The teachers are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced. Many are PhD holders, making them experts in their fields.

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.A. Programs at Shivaji College

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what emerges:

    * Limited Placements: Most students agree that the placement cell is not very effective, with only a handful of companies visiting the college for placements. Some students mention that the roles offered were not particularly relevant to their field of study, especially for economics graduates.
    * Low Placement Rate: According to some students, only around 2-3% of students got placed, which is relatively low compared to other colleges.
    * Roles Offered: While some companies did visit the college, the roles offered were mostly entry-level positions, such as call center representatives or assistants.
    * Internship Opportunities: Some students mentioned that they did participate in internships, which were sometimes unpaid, and occasionally led to permanent job offers.
    * Efforts Needed: Alumni and students suggest that the placement cell needs to make more effort to bring in companies and provide meaningful placement opportunities.

Overall, while the college has made some attempts to arrange placements and internships, the response has been lukewarm, leading to frustration among students seeking career opportunities after graduation.
