Honest review of Shivaji college.
Placements: Not very good companies come to campus and even those companies that actually come to campus don't give good profiles and pay not-so-good packages. Mass recruiters also try to avoid the college for placements but some good companies do visit the campus. Few students do get a good package.
Infrastructure: Infra is really good and underrated. We have a very beautiful campus and a really big size sports field. The college campus is very clean and consists of various gardens. There are various labs for all sorts of science-related things. The library is also very big and we have a dedicated sports complex, which is even bigger than academic block.
Faculty: Faculty is not good, teachers are not supportive and don't teach properly, most of the classes get canceled and there are barely any records of attendance. The course material is also very hard to find and even harder to study. Exams are also very hard and the majority of the students get a backlog.

Satisfied because of the infrastructure and teachers .
Placements: I guess 25% of the students are placed in my passing-out batch. The highest package was 25 LPA, the lowest package was 4-5 LPA and average LPA is 12 LPA. I am not aware of the top recruiting companies, but there are mid- or small-cap companies. There were no large-cap companies, as per my knowledge. Almost 80% students got internships, and companies were like Pehchaan Media, etc. Management, finance, and PR roles were offered the most.
Infrastructure: A new building is being built in our college, which has spacious rooms and very big labs for students of computer science and related fields. The old building's classrooms are very small and fans don't work much but the new building has great and big classrooms and fans work nicely there.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They teach and students understand everything. They come on time to classes. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and being in this course is all about practical knowledge so yes, it does make the students industry-ready. Semesters are average; you need to study according to the syllabus.
Other: My course in business economics gives practical knowledge, unlike economics honors, which only give theoretical knowledge.

Its an average college. Infrastructure and other facilities are average or above average.
Placements: The placement rate is not very high and packages are neither average nor below average. 40–50% get placement. The average salary is 3–4 LPA. Companies that come for placement are Deloitte, Wipro, Zomato, Amazon, Flipkart, and DE Shaw. The placement rate is increasing year by year.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in our college. More than 3 labs are equipped with AC. Classrooms in old buildings are below average and in new buildings they are above average. The library is nice and big, with photocopying and printing facilities provided. No hostel students from outside of Delhi will have to live as PGs or in flats. Canteen food is average. The ground is really very big.
Faculty: Teachers are a little above average but when it comes to studying, we have to do it ourselves. Semester exams are easy to moderate. The pass percentage is 63%. Some of the courses make us ready for the industry but some don't. Teachers are good if we study diligently.
Other: I chose this course because it was a professional course that doesn't fall under traditional courses. The washroom facilities in the new building need to be improved a lot. Events and festivals at the college are nice and fun for sure.

Students can earn great knowledge from the teachers.
Placements: 30–40% of students get placements at our college. Most of the students go for higher education. The highest package offered in our course was 7 LPA and the lowest package offered was 2 LPA. The average package offered at this college was 3 LPAs. There are not many high placement opportunities at this college.
Infrastructure: In terms of facilities and infrastructure, this was a very good college. All the required facilities and amenities were provided by the college management to their students. The library at the college was big and fully stocked. A Wi-Fi facility was available on the campus of the college.
Faculty: Yes, teachers at our college were good. All of them were qualified, knowledgeable and experienced in their respective subjects. The course curriculum followed at the college was relevant and updated. It makes the students job-ready. Semester exams were easy to pass with proper study.

Brief insight on Shivaji College, University of Delhi .
Placements: DE Shaw is the top recruiting company for our course, providing the highest package of 22 LPA in 2022. Most students go for a Master's after this course, but quite a good number of students get placed from the Placement Fair of the college. Top roles offered for our course are Accounting and Finance.
Infrastructure: Labs are available mostly for B.Sc. students, but computer labs are available for us. Classrooms are not so well-maintained but are good enough. Wi-Fi is available in some parts of the campus. Shivaji Library is one of the largest libraries in DU and provides an ample amount of books and study materials. No hostel facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and attentive towards students. It's very easy to approach them. They are qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is way better than many other colleges. This course curriculum is very relevant to the real world and makes students industry-ready. Exams are quite difficult, but the pass percentage is above 90%.
Other: I chose this course because this applied stream of Economics provides a real-world impact of Business on Economics and vice versa. Since Business is the field I am interested in and wish to pursue in the future, this course aligns well with my goals.
