It is a good college to study in. It is good for placements.
Placements: I did my bachelor's in JCE Mysore. As soon as I finished the course, I got selected for the campus interview. I am well placed now. Most of my friends are well-placed. The average salary package offered was 10 LPA. Many top-paying companies like Accenture, Amazon, and Biocon visit our college for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is amazing, but I do not know about the hostel as I am staying in the home. We had spot visits, and all those are pretty good. Classrooms, library, canteen and all are good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are pretty good. They used to help us a lot if we approached them personally. They are supportive and well-qualified. But one thing is if you want help from the faculty members after working hours, then it is very difficult. But if you approach them during working hours, then they will definitely help you out.
Other: Campus life is good. It supports so much for extracurricular activities like sports, culture, etc.

If you are interested in BE, join this college without any hesitation.
Placements: Almost 70% of students got placed. The lowest package offered is 3.8 LPA, and the highest package is 15 LPA. It may vary accordingly. The top recruiters are L&T, TCS etc. The top roles offered are quality or structural engineer etc. Our seniors got placed well.
Infrastructure: The college has good facilities. The classrooms are good. The food is good. A canteen is also available on the college premises.
Faculty: If you have good knowledge, you can get marks. The teaching quality is good. Semester exams are conducted with ease. The college has well-equipped laboratories for students to gain good practical knowledge along with theoretical knowledge.
Other: Every course is well organised and executed. The quality of education is not at all compromised. You can go for this college.

College life was absolutely satisfying because of excellent facilities in around the campus.
Placements: Overall, 50% of students were placed. Circuit branches had more placement opportunities than non-circuit branches like civil, CTM and mechanical. Brigade was the top recruiting company in our course. Internship opportunities were less. Industrial visits were conducted, and survey class practicals were conducted.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was excellent, with good ventilation, architecture, and lighting. The department was equipped with Wi-Fi, desks and chairs for students. Washroom facilities are available on each floor. Projectors are available to give presentations. A canteen is available in the nearest, so students can have their breakfast there if missed. Parking facilities are available nearby.
Faculty: The faculty members are excellent with good knowledge, skills, experience and talent. Most of the faculty members are seniors, and a few are freshers. The faculty members are friendly and gave separate time for student interaction and doubt-clearing. The curriculum was structured in order to expose students from grass root level to industry works. We have to pay the fee every semester.
Other: Every year, the annual fest is conducted, and it is a Minidasara fest called Jayciana. Sports activities, cultural events and technical events are conducted as a part of pre-fest.

It has helpful lectures and good college administration. Placements are better than other colleges.
Placements: Our college provides the best placements for IT-related branches where top companies like Flipkart hire talented students. In non-IT branches, companies like L and T recruit talented students. Our college provides the best in placements compared to other colleges. Maximum students got placed in TCS or Accenture.
Infrastructure: Our college has football and basketball groups. There is a free Wi-Fi facility. The college also has an admin block where they provide facilities to browse free internet to learn and complete their assignments. The college also has an outlet for food, clothing and other basic requirements.
Faculty: Lecturers are always available to help students. They are masters in their subject. They clear all your doubts. They assign materials and reference books to gain any additional required knowledge to crack other examinations. The exams are tough, and it concentrates mainly on practical test cases.
Other: Our college provides clean surroundings and good lab facilities.

It is a good college with decent placements.
Placements: Placements in circuit branches were really good. Almost 80-90% of them were placed. In non-circuit branches, mechanical got almost 50% placements. Rest of the branches got around 30%. The highest salary package offered was 27 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2.7 LPA. L&T and Brigade are the top recruiters. Site engineer is the top roles offered. The highest salary package offered in our course is 4.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 2.7 LPA. None of them got placed in the civil branch.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are good. We have superfast Wi-Fi, smart classrooms with projectors and a very large library which has books other than academics too. There are numerous competitive exam materials. E-library facility is also available. Hostel needs improvement. Buildings are very old, and even the study tables and wardrobes are old. Mess food is average. Canteen food is good and affordable. Sports facilities are really good. There are a number of fields for various sports and even indoor games and a gymnasium with a trainer.
Faculty: Teaching faculty depends on the branch. Our branch had the most experienced teachers in the college. Most of them were very knowledgeable and helping. The quality of teaching was good. The course curriculum needs improvement. Students must be allowed to choose from a wide range of electives so that they are industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen civil engineering out of my interest in structural engineering aspects. The best thing about civil is it's more practical than any other course. We learn what we see and build. As said earlier, a few subjects which teach us about modern-day technology can be introduced. Events are conducted regularly. Fest is done with great efforts and is one of the best in Mysore. The campus is quite large and hence doesn't feel much crowd. The campus has regular bus connectivity. Campus surrounding is serene and peaceful. Scholarship information is given, and most of them utilise it. Various extracurricular activities are conducted. Many student clubs are present for the same.

There are less chances of getting civil engineering branch at SJCE, Mysore with 32k rank in COMEDK, however you can get other good colleges such as Cambridge Institute of Technology, RNSIT or KSIT.

Yes, sure you can give the exam without the Biology subject. It is not compulsory to know everything. However, class 10th standard knowledge is enough.
