Wonderful memories of our youth life.
Placements: In our course, till now about 50% of students got placed. From all the departments, 60% of students are placed till now. In Sri Krishana College of Technology, 200 companies visit every year. There are some criteria for students to enter that special company. The placement starts in the 6th semester, and students from all departments can attend the placements. Students from the B.E. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering course can attend both hardware and software placements, which is a benefit of our course.
Infrastructure: In our hostel, they provide vegetarian food, and compared to other hostels here food is average. There is a laundry system for students. Inside the hostel, they provide a canteen, Cockroko, fresh juice, a beauty parlor, a tailor, and a stationery shop. It provides a gym and a gym trainer also. The warden is strict. They do not allow students to go out there as there are so many rules, even for final years.
Faculty: Faculty members in our course are very friendly. They always push us to do something that will help us in the future. They encourage us to participate in other college competitions and cultural events. They guide us to improve our knowledge and mentor us in our projects. Overall, the course curriculum in Sri Krishna is good.

Sri Krishna College of Technology - Best.
Placements: Up to 80 percent of students got placed in my course and in my batch too. The average package of the companies that come to Sri Krishna College of Technology is 6 LPA, and the companies are not small startups. The companies that arrive at the campus provide services and products to top MNCs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure on this campus provides us more knowledge, and the labs have more information and tools to get hands-on experience. The classrooms have smart classes, and they have videos depicting classes. The teaching is up to the mark, where every new technology is being taught.
Faculty: There are the best set of faculty and non-teaching staff who are experts in their own fields, where every topic is being taught for our knowledge. The curriculum is always updated according to recent technologies and innovations. The exams are the best testing things, which will provide more knowledge to improve our skills.
Other: There are good food facilities, where there is good food and tasty to eat. More sports activities and extracurricular activities too.

Evaluation of my college : SKCT.
Placements: As of now, I am moving to my 8th semester, and we have nearly 30% placements already over in our department. The highest package of my department was 11 LPA, and the average is nearly 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are EY and Accenture. We can't expect more core companies in placements; only software companies are visiting campus. Internships are mandatory for the 7th semester, and it's only in our own hands to look for internships. They won't seek or allocate any companies for internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is better than many other colleges, whereas our college is more in a remote location. We can't see many transportation facilities as it is in the city. We have good Wi-Fi facilities for usage on laptops alone. The hostel is rated low, as their food and facilities are not worth the amount.
Faculty: Teachers are always helpful and approachable, and many of them have Ph.D.s, and their teaching is also different from one staff member to another. They are providing their knowledge to the students in the best manner, but I really think our curriculum doesn't have much of an interactive and discussion-based learning component.
Other: I chose this course considering its importance in process-based industries and their need for control and safety. It's been a while since college fests have been happening. Since my admission, I think no cultural events have been done. Also, there have been no tours or industrial visits from our college. Extracurricular activities are also really not happening much; the clubs in our college are mostly nonfunctioning ones.

My campus review at SKCT college.
Placements: In our batch, students strength is 45. The placement session is starting from the 6th semester onwards. During the 7th semester, the placement time is to speak. 40% of our branch students got placed; the average CTC is 4,50,000, and the highest is 11,00,000. The placement session continues till the end of June 2025.
Infrastructure: Hostel life is very good, and food is average; only vegetarian food is provided in hostels. We bought non-veg foods in college food courts and other hotels inside the campus. Sports facilities are good and well. Wi-Fi is free in both the campus and hostel; sometimes tower issues occur.
Faculty: College faculty members are very friendly. Teaching quality is good. The semester exam's toughness is average based on the question paper. Around 95% of our batch students have no standing arrears. The course curriculum is a little bit hard for our batch because some software-based papers are added.

My college life at SKCT.
Placements: During the seventh semester, almost 12 students out of 46 have been placed in at least one company, and almost 70% of the students compete and move till the final round of interviews. The average package is 3 to 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The best thing in the girls' hostel is the core safety. Every outing and on-duty of the students will be strictly monitored. Food will be of average good quality and will be hygienic. There are drinking water facilities, a dobi for washing clothes, and vending machines available.
Faculty: There will be two internal exams called CIA for 50 marks each, where 25 is the pass mark. Internals will have 50% weightage. Likewise, the semester will contain 50% weightage. The exam will be for 100 marks, where 50 marks is the pass mark. Per semester, there will be eight subjects that not only have core subjects but also include software courses for our batch. I'm now in company training with front-end and back-end full-stack projects with a few computer languages from basic, intermediate, and complex levels of problem-solving with almost 12 courses.
Other: I am from the 2021-2025 batch in the ICE department. This course is a core branch with a mixture of other department (ECE, EEE, MECH, CIVIL) subjects, and students can opt for both core and IT based on their needs. Mostly IT companies will visit the campus than core companies.

Q:   Is Sri Krishna College of Technology Tier 1 or Tier 2?

A:

Sri Krishna College of Technology is in general Tier 2 in Indian engineering college ranking. Though it is producing quality engineers, the reputation of this college is good in Tamil Nadu, particularly for specific engineering streams, and does not usually stand in line with the elite Tier 1 ones like IITs or NITs. Nonetheless, technical education has benefited from it immensely and it commands very good placement records and facilities; of course, its popularity to destination students in the region for engineering degrees.

Q:   How good is Sri Krishna College of Technology for M.Tech.?

A:

Sri Krishna College of Technology is seen as the good option wherein M.Tech can be pursued, particularly in terms of engineering education in Tamil Nadu. The institute provides for various specializations and is in glory because of the staff, who are mature enough and relevant to the industry. Students also benefit with good infrastructure, research opportunities, and laboratory facilities. Such programmes would often lead the college to connect with companies that help a significant number of these students achieve their dream jobs after graduation. Although it is not one of the most distinguished institutions in the country, it does provide an excellent foundation for education and is great by regional standards.
