Review of St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
Placements: Freshers have the opportunity to participate in placement cell events. They volunteer and learn when companies visit our campus for placementa. Freshers are not directly involved in interactions with the placement companies. Top recruiting companies like Deloitte, etc., visit our campus. Students in their third year of this course are allowed to work on different workshops and internships. Seminars, special lectures, and workshops are also held regularly. Seminars tend to be for higher levels, like a third-year or PG level.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite developed. Our classrooms are spacious and airy. The lab equipment is sophisticated and the departments have labs for various subjects in good working order. The quality of food is average. The canteen food can be better avoided. There are stalls inside and outside the college where students crowd for snacks and meals.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and approachable. The majority of them are highly qualified and have masters in their fields. They tend to listen to students and solve their problems. There are exceptions. The semester is divided into CIA, which is worth 10 marks, and end-of-semester, which is worth 60 marks, 30 marks for practicals, and 10 marks for viva performance and lab notebook. Semester exams are moderately tough.
Other: The college is well-connected to various modes of transportation, including bus routes and the metro. Situated on Park Street, the environment outside is busy. The college is crowded at the beginning of the dayshift at 10 a.m., otherwise, it's not that congested.

Teachers in our college are good, and their teaching is also good. The college is good.
Placements: Our college is autonomous, so there are no placements in this college. Many students get an internship every year in different reputed companies. It is one of the best colleges in Kolkata. It has its own fame all over the Bengal. Overall, our college is amazing.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very good. The college has its own library containing many different types of books. Our college provides four hostels. All hostels are good. There is also a canteen. The food provided in the hostels is delicious. It also provides a gym and a swimming pool for students. Medical facilities are also available here.
Faculty: There are many faculty members in every department. All faculty members are well-trained. Most of them are PhD holders. They are student-friendly and help students every time. Their teaching quality is excellent. Semester exams are not tough. Concept-based questions are asked in exams.

I am satisfied and enjoyed college life here, and I also recommend others to join.
Placements: As I am involved in a non-professional course, I don't get placements. However, the exposure that our college provides is very commendable, and we get the chance to meet students and professors of foreign universities.
Infrastructure: Our college provides the best facilities from Wi-Fi, labs equipped with all modern equipment to the best library where you can find any book. Apart from academics, our college is known for its NCC wing and cricket team, and in Kolkata, our college fest is the most famous.
Faculty: All the professors are well-educated and know how to teach students. Their interactive learning methodology is unique and fascinating. You have to put a lot of effort into doing any course from this college. Still, these efforts are worth it because, after graduating from here, you can be ready to deal with any upcoming difficulties of life.
Other: I have always been fascinated by the universe, so I decided to choose this course. Our college also provides scholarships for meritorious students. The college also provides lots of extracurricular activities, and our college fest is the most awaited event for students.

It is an excellent college with endless opportunities.
Placements: The college has a placement cell which was established in 2004. Companies like Google, British Council, Godrej, Tata and Infosys visit our college for placements. The placement cell helps to arrange workshops and campus interviews for students. According to the NIRF data, about 428 undergraduate students got placed with a median salary package of 5 LPA in the year 2017-18.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good, and it is equipped with a projector and air-conditioned facility. There is no problem with electricity. Labs are exceptionally good and well-equipped. The library is the best place with an amazing collection of books. Students have to enrol to use the Wi-Fi facility provided by the college, although usage of phones inside classrooms are not allowed. There is a place called Green Benches inside the campus where students can hang out. Canteen is good, and it serves decent food. There is a huge field where games and fests are conducted. The college provides two hostels, one for boys and one for girls. Food served in the mess is really good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and extremely helpful. They are easily approachable. Teacher and student interaction is really good. The course curriculum is really effective, and it helps to build a strong future for the students.
Other: Our college is widely known for organised fest named Xavotsav, and it is one of the largest college fests in India. The vibe here is so unique that one won't find anywhere else. The college provides the best platform for students to showcase their hidden talents, through various fests and extracurricular activities. The college has many societies like science association, Bengali literary society, astronomical society, Xaverian academy for dance and music, etc.

A reputed college in high demand.
Placements: Students tend to opt for a higher degree in physics after their bachelor's. Xavier's is highly recommended for ensuring a smooth transition into such higher courses. Being an autonomous college, under the prestigious University of Calcutta, it is the best choice to do the bachelor's course in physics.
Infrastructure: St. Xavier's provides modern classroom facilities, and professors are free to use both the blackboard/whiteboard and slides to teach. The classrooms, labs and buildings are regularly cleaned and are well maintained. The iconic green benches, field, terrace and the Goethe library within the campus are historically illuminating and a matter of pride.
Faculty: The faculty is at par with most other colleges and may be considered a strong reason for choosing this college for the bachelor's course. The curriculum is at par with the present Calcutta University syllabus and is well arranged to suit the needs of external examinations.
Other: One of the most happening colleges in the country, it does not compromise even a little on showcasing the non-academic talents of its students, be it in fests, public relations, manners or social consciousness.
