Dissatisfied because of placement in previous year, infrastructure is not good.

Placements: Placement is not good in my college. In UIT, the placement level is medium. In my branch, 40 students were placed out of 70 students. But those students who study well will qualify in GATE exam. In my branch, 15 students have qualified GATE exam in the previous year. So, professors teach well in my college.

University Institute of Technology, The University Of Burdwan

Placements: As per the early records, the students of University Institute of technology Burdwan got placed in good company like TCS, Infosys, IBM, etc. But now, there was no training and placement officer to organised campus placement on the campus. So, that is the drawback of the college.

In brief, I will recommend this college only if you are not relying it for the placements.

Placements: The placements are not that good. It is just another semi-government college. So in the last moment, you just have your own knowledge and the skills on which you can depend. Do not expect much from the college as far as the placements are concerned. Enhance your skills. I would rate it as 2/5.

Placement percentage should be increased, other things are manageable

Placements: Placements were quite good in our previous batches at around 70%. But now there is no experienced "training and placement officer" and therefore in our batch around 30-40 students were placed only. Luckily I am one of those placed students. Most of the placements were from CSE and IT departments. The percentage of students from core branch being placed is very less and they are also placed in software companies. The highest salary offered was around 4 lacs/annum by TCS and lowest was around 2.2l...

UIT, BU should improve its quality

Placements: From our previous batch (2016 pass-out batch), 70-80% seniors were placed by the major recruiter Tata Consultancy Services (known as TCS). But in our batch (2017 passed-out), it has decreased to only 20-30% as there was no proper "Training and Placement Officer" and TCS did not come in for on-campus recruitment. From each of computer science engineering and information technology departments, only 10-20 are placed and from other departments, on an average, 5 students were placed and those jobs w...

Poor placement and infrastructure.

Placements: Placement has always been an issue with UIT, BU. In fact, it is going worse with the time. In my final year, only TCS visited for on-campusing and hardly any other such companies came. Even campusing for core departments is a day-dream. They arranged such pool interviews where the chances for selection is very minimum as compared to the students of other colleges. The electrical department has a success ratio of 15% placement whereas the overall placement in the entire college is approx. 35% of ...

If placements are your topmost priority, then do not come here. It is quite decent for your money.

Placements: Before 2014, the placement records were quite decent. But after 2014, it has decreased steeply to almost zero. Mass recruiters like TCS do not come here anymore. The core departments like civil and electrical get almost zero placements, but CSE and IT get some placements. Do not come here if placements are your topmost priority.

Average placements in 2015 but dissatisfying faculty.

Placements: We were the fourth batch of BE in civil engineering. The first batch that passed out had over 90% of placements (on and off-campus included), but later on, as the batches started moving out, the placement record decreased. In our batch, the placement officer arranged prior self-grooming classes to help in the interviews and floated material related to that. The self-grooming classes did help a lot, but due to the sudden demise of the placement officer, the infrastructure collapsed. To handle the...

Absolutely dissatisfied because of college infrastructure and placements.

Placements: Honestly, the placement is very poor in this college as not more than 2 or 3 companies visited the campus each year. Since no company visited in our final year which is until November 2017. In the last few years, TCS and Tech Mahindra visited the campus to recruit our seniors, but the percentage of placed students is quite low at around 20%. The average salary offered is 3.3 lakhs per year, and most of the students got the role of Trainee Engineer. You have to manage to get the chance of interns...

It is an average college. Infrastructure is good but faculty members always prefer the Bengali language. Placement is good but not very good. The campus is ragging -free. Seniors are helpful. The fee structure is very low and it is a government college. Location of college is not so good.

Only great thing about the college is the low semester fees. Apart from that if you want to make your life difficult and make your future uncertain then you can opt to study there. Many of us were placed in IT companies. If you like a career in core engineering then this college is not the right place to study. But if you have financial problem in home and want to have the BE degree against as low cost as possible then you can study here.

You can learn many things here. Most of the faculty members were helpful and knowledgeable. Lab facilities are quite satisfying. Overall, an institute with good educational background. Only negativity is the absence of a quality Placement Cell which can provide a good exposure to the Industry. If you are not worried about the on campus placement then go there and you can learn enough to compete any challenges out there.

I'm satisfied with good placements.

Placements: Around 50% of students get placed in this college. The highest salary package offered in the CSE department is 14 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Google, and Facebook. Around 50% of students get internships in our college. Top roles are offered in web development, data, UX design, etc.

This is the review of my college.

Placements: There is very good placement provided to students by this college. Every year there is an increase in the placement rate. In 2021 there are 89% of students got placement from this college. The placement process is quite smooth and easy.

If you have got enough money go for private colleges. You'll have a better college life.

Placements: Campus Placement? Uitians don't have any idea about it. Not a single company Visit here. Hardly they can manage to organize pool campusing. You have to prepare by your own. Students try their luck in off campus. Student go for off campus placement and manage to get job role as project Engineer.

Honest review of my college from me.

Placements: 1. From my batch 10 students are placed in IT companies. 2. Average package is around 4 lacs. 3. Top recruiting company this year is pinnacle, TCS and CTS. 4. Top roles are offered mainly in IT companies. Most of us are preparing for GATE and IES. 5. No one has got any core company. But in IT sector pinnacle is offering around 6 LPA. 6. Around 60% to 70% students have got internship. The internship providers are Ranchi division railways.

Absolutely dissatisfied due to faculty, good placement in 2014,really good infrastructure.

Placements: It has now been a year since I joined the UIT, Burdwan, the seniors often used to say that that Placement of the institutions is not good as compared to others. But may of the students. Who get good marks got settled is very reputable company as well. Very low percentage of students were placed in course.

The college has really good infrastructure.

Placements: This college is good for studying, and the students in the electronics and communication engineering department get placements after the completion of 4 years, but the packages are not good. So, the students in this college should only dream of learning and getting good marks.

Our college is almost good. Students are very bright and good at studies and will be very talented.

Placements: Our college is developing regarding placements. Around 40% of the students get placed every year, and the highest salary package offered to the students in the current year is 7 LPA. About 30% of our seniors got internships from our college. There is no placement cell in this college. Our college should increase its placements, which will be very helpful for students.

Review of University Institute of Technology, The University of Burdwan.

Placements: The placements were not that good, but I expect it to get better in the coming days. However, 20% to 30% of the students got good jobs, but most of the students were struggling for their future. Previously, the placements were even worse, but they are improving slowly.
