Q:   Is it worth pursuing B.E. / B.Tech at Vkr, Vnb and Agk College Of Engineering?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Pursuing BE/BTech at VKR, VNB, and AGK College of Engineering: Worth it?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Infrastructure and Facilities:
    * Mixed bag: some students praise the infrastructure, while others criticize the lack of amenities like Wi-Fi, adequate hostels, and poor maintenance.
    * Library: generally considered satisfactory, with a wide range of books available.
    * Laboratories: variable quality, with some departments having better-equipped labs than others.
    * Sports and recreational facilities: inadequate, with students complaining about lack of access to grounds and no provision for medical facilities.

    Teaching and Curriculum:
    * Teachers: vary in quality, with some being helpful and knowledgeable, while others are inexperienced or lack enthusiasm.
    * Course curriculum: seen as somewhat outdated, requiring additional effort from students to stay current with industry demands.
    * Practical knowledge: often lacking, with students relying heavily on self-study to fill gaps.

    Placement Record:
    * Placements: hit-or-miss, with some batches experiencing better outcomes than others.
    * the highest package: around INR10 LPA, with average packages ranging from INR2-3 LPA.
    * Internships: minimal opportunities, with almost none reported by students.
    * Company recruitment: varies, with some prominent names visiting campus occasionally.

    Overall Experience:
    * Atmosphere: generally positive, with students praising the relaxed campus environment.
    * Support system: inconsistent, with some faculty members showing interest in students' progress, while others seem detached.
    * Campus activities: rare, with students citing lack of organized events and fests.

Considering these factors, students considering pursuing a BE/BTech at VKR, VNB, and AGK College of Engineering should weigh the pros and cons carefully. While the institution shows promise in certain areas, such as teaching quality and campus atmosphere, it falls short in providing modern infrastructure and ensuring industry-readiness. Students seeking a stronger focus on practical knowledge and placement records may want to explore alternative options.

Keep in mind that individual experiences may vary depending on the batch, program, and personal preferences.

Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.E. / B.Tech at Vkr, Vnb and Agk College Of Engineering?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Course Curriculum Structure

    * The course curriculum at Vnr, Vnb, and Agk College Of Engineering follows the syllabus prescribed by JNTUK ( Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada).
    * The faculty members are good and knowledgeable, with most of them holding an M.Tech degree.
    * The course curriculum is relevant to the industry, but students feel that it could be improved to make them more industry-ready.
    * One student mentions that the course curriculum is "relevant", while another says it is "good" and helps prepare students for the industry.
    * Another student suggests that the course curriculum should be changed to include more practical teachings and real-world applications.
    * An alumnus states that the course curriculum is relevant, but the education provided is not good due to less experienced faculty members.
    * Some students mention that the course curriculum is outdated and does not cover modern technologies and trends in the field.

Overall, the course curriculum at Vnr, Vnb, and Agk College Of Engineering seems to be well-structured and relevant to the industry, but there are areas where improvement can be made to enhance the learning experience and prepare students better for the workforce.

Note: Since multiple courses (B.E./B.Tech) are being referred to, I've provided a general overview of the course curriculum structure across these courses.

The faculty is really good and supportive.
Placements: The branches offered in my college were CSE, ECE, mechanical, civil, EEE and also Polytechnic. Placements are good but most of our CSE batch got placed into startup companies or non-IT companies like BPO, edtech, etc. But as per feedback of seniors after PG many people got placed in good reputed organisation.
Infrastructure: There are no such hostel facilities in our college but we have a canteen in our college and the food is very good and quality with affordable prices and campus life is very good such greenery environment and in our college every November and December month we have sports competitions between the branches.
Faculty: The faculty is really good and supportive. I met some of the best and most excellent faculty there. They help us in every aspect and they'll try their best to clear our doubts. When it comes to exam pattern, mid-exams are conducted and evaluated within the college but for semester exams the exam paper is published by the University of JNTUK as our college is one of its affiliations.
Other: When I was in my first and second year we didn't have any type of social activities and clubs but after that, we got some new faculty and they launched all the new facilities and encouraged us to do more innovative things and explore through technology.

A good college, but it is not up to the mark.
Placements: Passed out of the 2023 batch. The highest package is 10 LPAs. The lowest package is 2 LPAs. The roles offered in this course are mechanical engineers, engineering trainees, etc. There is no guidance on internships from our college. Almost all the students do fake internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is neither good nor bad. No Wi-Fi is available. Classrooms are good. The library is also good, but the labs are not up to mark. Hostel facilities are the worst. The hostel is not recommended. There are no medical facilities provided in the college. The college canteen is very poorly maintained, and the items in the canteen are overpriced.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. The course is curriculum-relevant, but studying at this college doesn't make you industry-ready. Semester exams are easy because faculty take good care about the exams. The pass percentage is around 75.

    Right now have good placements.
Placements: In my course of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, 95% of the students have been placed. The highest and lowest packages offered are 5 LPA and 3 LPA respectively. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, etc., participated in the placement drive and secured jobs for numerous students.
Infrastructure: The faculty is good, and regarding the infrastructure, it's okay. The NAT is not too good, but it's sufficient. The labs and Wi-Fi are excellent. The classrooms and corridors are always clean, and there is a vast collection of books in the library. As a day scholar, I am not knowledgeable about the hostel.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good, as some are bad, but in negligible count, and most faculty have good knowledge and pass it on to students. But practical knowledge giving may be average. The pass percentage is also average, as we are not autonomous and the difficult paper depends on JNTUK paper.
Other: The college conducted fewer events compared to other colleges.

Our college is very peaceful, and there is no ragging yet in our college.
Placements: Placements are excellent in our college. Eighty percent of students were placed in our course; I, too, was selected in campus selection. The highest package offered in my course is 12 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course are CISCO, APITA, TATA, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides the best facilities; infrastructure and equipment are available for my course. Each department has separate blocks, and parking, Wi-Fi facilities are there, which are useful for students. Hostel facilities are available for girls on campus.

Our college has the worst infrastructure.
Placements: Placements depend on our strength. Mostly, tier-3 companies offer jobs. The guidance of staff is good while participating in placements. With a good percentage, we can get a good placement offer.
Infrastructure: The food served is not good in the cafeteria. Rooms are good in the hostel. Medical facilities are available near our campus. Our college should have a good library. Labs have good staff members. They provide air-conditioners in labs and explain all the lab work in a simple way.
Faculty: Faculty members teach well but we can understand everything. The course curriculum should be directed by staff on the starting day of the class. Semester exams are easy to crack and maintain a good percentage.
Other: The department allows students to participate in all the programs on campus. In some of the events, we get a lot of encouragement from the department staff.

This college is good as all the colleges.
Placements: Maximum students are placed in the jobs in the campus with the help of the TPO sir and The TPO Team they put their efforts to get the best and good jobs for us. And our the highest package is 10 LPA and my the lowest package is 3 LPA. Main companies are Byzus, TVS, Inovido, etc.
Infrastructure: First of all, there is no hostel in the 1st year and nowadays there is a hostel but no facilities. Some students are to college from long distance so they are supposed to live in that hostel so the hostel facilities are not good and the quality of hostel is not good.
Faculty: Some faculty are more valuable and they are some family and they are in the exams are very strict in the exam time with the CC cameras and two invigilators with the observer. As all of know that semesters are very difficult day by day with their subjects.
Other: 1st I studied in the same college in Diploma civil engineering and in the B.Tech decided to change my course to Computer Science because of the course is trending and number of placements in this course.
