It has good placements in 2018 and has good infrastructure. But it is a highly paid college.

Placements: In our campus, as per 2019 passing out batch, almost 70% of students placed in all over the world. And many were selected for international universities for higher studies. The highest package salary offered was 27 LPA for CSE and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Many companies, like Vedanta, Tata, Hindalco, Lnt, hired students for jobs and internships. In my course of metallurgical and materials engineering department, the salary package offered was 11 LPA and the lowest salary p...

The infrastructure is good, and faculty members are excellent, but poor placements.

Placements: Approximately 90% of students from CSE branch and 50-60% of students from other branches got placed. The highest salary package offered was 33 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Companies like JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Goldmann Sach, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, etc., visit our campus for placements. They also offer internships to 3rd-year students. The average stipend offered was Rs. 30,000.

I am quite satisfied with my college. It allows balancing study and other co-curriculum.

Placements: Placement for our batch was pretty good, although for our senior batch it was better. Almost 70% of students got non-dream jobs, whereas 20% managed dream jobs with high salary package. The highest salary package offered was 14 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 6 LPA.

Review of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.

Placements: You will have a good number of opportunities and decent companies for placements like L&T, vConstruct, etc. But placements are very less as compared to engineering stream. So the competition will be high for a limited number of companies as there are a high number of students in the department. Neither department nor college has taken any serious step to improve the placements for the architecture department for the last 20 years. Placements secretary of our department made enormous efforts as a...

The college experience is great. The faculty is helpful and the campus is an amazing place to stay.

Placements: During my batch the placements were good. Though I don't have the exact numbers but almost all students who were SAT for the placements got placed. The lowest package would be around 4 lacs CTC and the highest was around 20 lacs. In our senior batch they had similar placements but one student had got a $120k placement from epic systems USA.

Dissatisfied with the college because of my negligence.

Placements: I don't have any information regarding the placements, but I am sure to sit for placements as we need to have a minimum pointer of above 7.5-grade points average. The average salary package for core placements as I know is around 6 to 8 LPA, and it's higher for coding placements.

Everything is good except for placements.

Placements: The placements of the college in some branches like CSE, ECE and EEE are hood. But, not in others. Around 40 people of 80 are placed from a batch. The salaries offered are around 6-7 lacs per annum on an average. For Civil Engineering, companies like LNT, visit the campus. The internship opportunities are really bad. Only 1 or 2 people get an internship from the whole batch. There is a placement cell, but it's not that useful.

Good faculty. Strict curriculum. The placements are not high for M.Tech.

Placements: M.Tech placements are not so good as B.Tech here. Most of the companies allow only B.Tech students to sit in interview rounds. Compared to other NITS, the placements are somewhat better. The faculty part is best. Teachers try their level best to share their knowledge, and it's up to us to adapt and grasp those things.

Need development in infrastructure and curriculum.

Placements: Placement in college is pretty good all the desirable applicants get placed till the completion of tier degree a minimum 7.5 CGPA is mandatory for some companies. MNC companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley visit campus and gives ample packages. Many student get pre placement offers too many PSU also visit campus.

Infrastructure is good and the campus life is enjoyable.

Placements: The placements are good. Around 70% of the placements are already done for our senior batch, and the recruitment is still in process. Students from our batch are looking for an internship and to learn some courses and excel in the placements next year. Overall our college is good with ample oppurtunities.

VNIT Nagpur is first preference of everyone. And it should be.

Placements: For B.Tech students the college provides good companies with handsome salaries. For M.Tech there are less placements. T&P people tries a Lot. But having a degree form an NIT you will have more preference than other even if you try for off campus drives.

Placements: Almost the whole of my batch got placed. The placements go on throughout the year. 50% of the students were placed in core profiles and remaining in non-core profiles such as management and IT. The average package offered to my branch was around 5.5LPA. Few students rejected the job offers for further studies.

The true story of a Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.

Placements: The placements are good especially for computer science and electronics, ECE batch. The core branches salary is very less. Around 10 LPA plus packages are rare. The general average would be around 5 LPA. If you are aiming for a high salary, then don't go for core jobs unless PSU. The placement cell is quite active and helps you throughout the process.

Placements: The core companies visited in the year 2017-2018 are ExxonMobil, Aditya Birla Hindalco, Sun Pharmaceutical, Godrej, Navin Fluorine International Ltd, Reliance Chemical and Petrochemicals, Birla Cement, and Century Cement. The highest package of CTC 9 Lacs is offered by ExxonMobil, and the lowest of 3.5 Lacs is offered by Navin Fluorine. The average CTC was 5.5 Lacs. Satisfactory because of average placements, not that good infrastructure with very less facilities.

Placements: Placements in this college are pretty good. CSE department has the highest percentage of placements followed by the ECE and then by the electrical. As of the mining sometimes placements are very good like last year, Coal India Ltd(public sector) gave a package of Rs. 10.5 LPA to six students for the role of the assistant manager out of 32 & also out of 32, at least 27 were placed. Other companies like Vedanta and MOIL also visited our campus. The lowest salary was Rs. 4.5 LPA and the average sal...

VNIT, the best NIT for mechanical students.

Placements: The placement of the mechanical in the college is good as from core to different analytics companies recruit mechanical engineering student. PSU ( public sector undertaking ) companies also recruit the students from the college. The placement cell is vibrant and helping in the college. The PPO and internships are offered to the students.

Moderate faculty. Good placements only for some departments.

Placements: The placements in our college can be considered quite good if you belong to computer science department or mechanical department, while for the rest of departments, it is not up to the mark. There are a lot of opportunities for getting placed if you know coding well. The placement percentage is around 99.5 in computer science department and around 85-90 for other departments. The internships are also mostly for computer science students only. There's a placement cell.

The college has the good placements, and a little low on the faculty angle.

Placements: For the chemical engineering, there is a specific trend in the placements in VNIT. My senior batch had low placements whereas in my batch 60 out of 69 people got placed. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 2,70,000 per annum and the highest was Rs. 27,00,000 per annum offered by Amazon. During the placements, in the starting, i.e., between June and September, the software and consultancy companies visit the campus. From thereon, the core companies like Sun Pharma, ADG agro, Pidilite, Orient Cement...

VNIT is not the best, but is better than many colleges in India.

Placements: 50/90 students were placed, the major recruiter being L&T Ltd. Placement policies are changing every coming year, and the TnP department is working hard to increase placement percentage. There are very fewer mass recruiters, so the placement is quite average.

Overall, the college has a good feel but needs minor improvements.

Placements: The placements are good, at least for branches like CSE, ECE and EEE. Metallurgy is good for research, and the college is also taking efforts for departments like chemical and mining. The college doesn't allow a lot of mass recruiters. Hence the quality of placement is quite good.
