This is the good choice for education.

Placements: Most of the core companies like Qualcomm, Media Tech, Nagpur Metro, JP Morgan, L&T, TCS, Infosys, and some colleges and institutes came to the campus recruitments. 50% placements were done for our batch, with a maximum package of 16 lakhs and a minimum of 3.4 lakhs. Even some students got internship offers.

It was a good experience and whatever you take from the college counts in the future.

Placements: The placements were very good for my batch and the senior batches. Most of the students in computer science and mechanical departments got placed. For mechanical engineering, the salary range offered was from 3-8 Lacs. Volvo, Bajaj, L&T were some of the companies which visited our campus. The placement cell of VNIT is very active and efficient.

Unsatisfactory because of first year faculty. Good placements in 2017-2018.

Placements: The placements are great. The average package is of 7 LPA to 8 LPA. The maximum package offered is of 27 LPA. Many core companies hire students. Even non-core and some management companies give good placements. Some branch faculty members have too many contacts and can help the students easily in internship and industry exposure.

A good infrastructure with satisfactory faculty and decent curriculum.

Placements: The placements are quite good in the college. More than 70% of the CSE students are placed with the highest package of 22 Lacs by Goldman Sachs. The placement percentages in other branches are less than CSE, but PSU offered great placement in the session, 2017-18. BPCL offered 18 Lacs per annum package to 4 students of different branches.

VNIT satisfies almost all the academic needs of a student. So do join this college

Placements: Since the chemical engineering department in VNIT is a new department, the placements were not good in earlier years but from our senior batch, students and authorities started working hard and placements are pretty good these years. 2016-17 statistics say that around 80% of eligible students are placed whereas in the session 2017-18, around 60% of eligible students have already placed in phase one. VNIT's TnP provides very good career opportunity in both core and non-core job profiles. Companie...

All things are good while infrastructure lacks, but education quality is very good.

Placements: The placements are very good. The computer science department students have most placement while all other branches have decent placement. Even metallurgy also has decent placement. ECR is next best branch after CSE. Major companies are coming to the campus like Amazon, Airtel, Flipkart, etc.

Regarding infrastructure and knowledge, the college is good but not efficient for placements

Placements: Overall, the placement is not so good in core branches but if you have the knowledge of programming languages, you are mostly eligible for a better placement. Coding companies provide a lot of offers here. Especially in the mining department, the placement is very good and it comes after IIT Roorkee and ISM Dhanbad.

Good infrastructure and facilities, qualified faculty

Placements: Placements in architecture are quite less compared to the other engineering branches. Also, the pay cheques are very less. But experience and learning matter in the end. Generally, architects prefer launching their own firm after gaining sufficient knowledge about the practicalities of the field. However, finding a job in architecture is quite easy. Practical training is a must for all the architecture students. It is included in the course curriculum. The internship period varies for different ...

A very good college with best professors, average placements every year, really good infrastructure.

Placements: Coming to the placements, our senior batch has a very good record with 52 students placed out of 90. Many companies like Godrej, Reliance Industries, ExxonMobil, United Phosphorus Limited (UPL), Sun Pharma, etc. have visited so far. The highest package offered is 12 lakhs per annum and the least is 4.5 lakhs per annum. The average package is about 6 lpa. The students are offered roles like production managers, graduate trainees, etc. Nearly 30% of the students get internships and the stipends ...

A good campus life experience , although the curriculum can be improved

Placements: We have a total placement of around 65-70%. The placements are most from the computer science batch (90%). The electrical department batch has around 70% placement records. Core companies like L&T, Siemens, Bajaj, etc. visited this year. We have a lot of IT companies visiting our campus. Already 30-35 IT companies have visited like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Appdynamics (CISCO), etc. Non-core companies like Futures First, ZS Associates, Fractal Analytics, Capgemini, etc visited. Satisfactory faculty and courses, not good infrastructure and facilities, good placements

Placements: VNIT is an autonomous college affiliated to IIT-Bombay, which has given it a good recognition throughout national and multi-national organisations which has provided them with many well-known organisations to visit the campus for internship and full-time placements (ranging from departmental core to banking solutions organisations). The ratio of students getting placed every year is quite high (better than few IITs and IIITs; to my guess 70-80%). My seniors have been very satisfied by their inte...

VNIT at the centre of India.

Placements: I believe the emphasis on placements is not that much as compared to other colleges of similar or higher stature. Many people believe not being in a metro is also a factor in few recruiters not participating. But a lot of big recruiters visit the campus and make placements a great success here. Placement policies are very conservative and need an overhaul.

Very prestigious college, with well qualified faculty and good placements.

Placements: Companies like Godrej and L&T come for the architectural placements. 95% of the student were placed. Annual package of 6 lacs to 20 lacs is provided for B.Tech students. For architecture, not much of a placement package can be seen. Almost 100% of students got an internship from the college. Stipend from Rs. 10000 to 70000 was offered to the students.

Placements: The placements were considerably better in our batch. At least 70% of students eligible for the placement were placed. Companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and HUL came for placements. Opportunities for internships through campus have greatly increased this year. Until the last year, only a few students from each department got an internship through the college. The highest stipend is usually given by JP Morgan at around Rs. 74000 for two months followed by HUL which pays an intern R...

Futures First (10 LPA), Morgan Stanley (13 LPA), Amazon (16 LPA), Coal India (9-10 LPA), BPCL (12 LPA), Goldmann Sachs, etc. were among the highest payers. Taking admisssion in VNIT - biggest mistake of my life.

Placements: From placements point of view, VNIT has got a pretty decent image. The placements are quite nice in most of the departments namely ECE, CSE, and EEE. Last year's placement record showed that around 80% of the batch of a particular department were placed successfully. The companies consisted of both core & non-core companies. Many of them were IT companies. Top packages & dream packages were offered to 2 out of 5 students on an average from top companies like Siemens, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanle...

Moderately satisfied because of not so good placements in 2016.

Placements: The placements go well every alternate year. The minimum package for the college is 4 LPA. The highest will be for CSE guys with around 20 LPA. The computer science departments guys are the first to get placed. Almost 60% of them will be placed in the first 2 months. For electronics students, core companies have quite a few number of opportunities. If one learns programming, he/she will have higher chances of getting placed with a decent package. 60% percent of ECE students might be placed by th...

Placements: The placements for mining are stable. Coal India, Moil take fixed number generally but this year placements were high. The Coal India took 6 seniors and yet Moil, and other companies are yet to arrive. Moreover, multinational corporations are also coming. CSE placements are the best while if we neglect working conditions, then the mining may be second.

Placements: For my seniors' batch, the placements were quite good as some people even got placed for 15 LPA. Quite a number of core companies visited and placement was good, though from the next year, the placement criteria will change and so will the training and placement policy, hence looking forward to it.

Placements: The placements in NIT are low in metallurgical and materials branch (out of 90 students, only 41 got placed and in 41, only 14 got core jobs and remaining all got non-core) Companies like Reliance, JSW, Viraj, Vedanta Group etc. and the highest package in non-core for metallurgy branch is 8lakh/annum and the lowest package: 3 lakh/annum.
