Excellent infrastructure, faculty may disappoint slightly, average placements.

Placements: The placements are awesome for all the B.Tech branches, whereas, for M.Tech, it will be very less. We have to approach Internship or clear external ESE Exams. Especially for Civil and Mechanical Branches, they will hardly get 5 companies. Other Departments like CSE, ECE, EEE will get companies offering packages of 16 lakhs per annum.

VNIT is one of the best colleges in India, almost equal to IIT but too expensive.

Placements: Placements are very good from the software point of view. There are satisfactory jobs for core. The highest package in this year reaches 20lakhs. Unexpected jobs for VLSI this year happened at a peak salary i.e up to 16 lakhs. For civil (MTech) students, maximum jobs were for private university faculty, Infosys, Coal India and Maharastra metro.

Most informed teachers with new methods of teaching.

Placements: The average placement is of around Rs. 6 lpa. Last year, the maximum placement was of Rs.11 lpa, by BPCL. About internship, many big companies such as Reliance, Godrej etc come for campus placement. This year, Reliance offered Rs. 9 lakhs per annum. There's good placement in IT and management sectors. Companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley also come for campus placement.

This is a good college with good infrastructure. All the teachers have Ph.D. degrees or are pursuing one. The placements are a little low, but considering the current market situation, it is doing okay. The hostel facilities are very good. The canteen facility is very bad. This is a good environment to study. The Nagpur weather is pleasant, except for the summers. Festivals in the college are up to the mark.

The college is in the lap of nature, many trees around. But cutting is going on because of new construction. The fees have increased a lot, recently. Almost doubled which I didn't like. The hostels are good. Basic amenities are available. Health center is provided within the premises.

Pros: 1. The brand name and reputation of NIT stands tall and helps greatly in terms of carrying it. 2. The college environment and infrastructure are outstanding with state-of-the-art library that features top publications from foreign universities thereby creating a great environment for academic research. 3. Additional benefits such as high-speed Wi-Fi and promotion of extra-curricular activities make it a great place to be in. Cons: 1. The fees are extremely high thereby acting as a barrier...

The best thing about the college was its crowd. Most of the exposure I got from working with people in college events, classes, cultural festivals etc. Hostel life was awesome, thanks to the high-speed internet connection and DC. I found the Environment and Geology Department of our college great and I learned many things from there. I must say that in an autonomous college the thing that makes subjects interesting and departments strong is not infrastructure, it is only hardworking teachers. An...

Nagpur, the city which is considered to be at the center of India, renowned as the orange city. There in the heart of the city, we have our college VNIT with beautiful campus and stamp of excellence. Just the recent surveys in 2015 had ranked VNIT as the best NIT in India. Good placements records and experienced faculties have led the student to take a walk through the park of opportunities. It is a great college indeed.

It is a nice college but it can be better. Some professors are brilliant while some are worthless. There are no good campus activities. The clubs are very territorial. Also, the attendance system is strict and grades are not given liberally. The faculty is rude. The college has a good library and there is no sports culture.

Satisfied with the hostel facilities and somewhat dissatisfied with course structure.

Placements: 115 students opted for the EEE course in VNIT. The lowest package is around 6-8 LPA, and the highest is around 18-20 LPA, with an average of 8-10 LPA. Companies such as BHEL, NPCL, and many core tech companies are involved. Around 60-70% of students get internships in the EEE course at DRDO, ISRO, BHEL, etc. Roles such as Power Engineer and Fault Engineer are among the opportunities available.

Nice faculty, nice facilities, nice college.

Placements: I am in CSE. 85% of students are placed, and the highest placement package offered is around Rs 30–40 lacs CTC. It's a very nice campus, with so many facilities. Despite the online semester and helpful seniors, the graduating class received fairly good packages. The training and placement cell is active and all companies come and take on campus placement.

Our college should imporve the curriculum.

Placements: The placement percentage of college is quite less. About 10% of the students get placed each year. Placements are majorly in management firms and construction firms. L&T and Godrej are the top recruiting firms of our college. There is no recruitment for design firms.

Review of VNIT Nagpur - Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.

Placements: Out of all the students who applied for placements, around 70% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered for ECE was up to 22 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 4.5 LPA. Many companies were IT-oriented hence most students who got placed from ECE branch were taken by IT companies. John deere was one of the core companies that visit the campus.

Satisfied with the campus but a bit disappointed by the college's efforts for placements.

Placements: Majority of the students of the mechanical engineering department were placed in the non-core sector. But there were few students who secured jobs in Suzuki, Thermax, PMI, Hero etc. Regarding internships, some of the students were selected for internships at Schindler, PMI, Thermax, Lupin, Reliance Industries, etc.

I am satisfied with overall curriculum of college.

Placements: Around 70% of students get placed in final year. There are core as well as non core companies where students can get placed. Top companies like Exxon mobile, L&T etc. Come for core placements and companies like citi bank, Deloitte etc. Come for non core placements students can also apply for coding jobs. The highest packages was 13 lacs and the lowest was around 4 to 5 lacs average was around 5 to 6 lacs. But number students who get internship is very low around 20% students get internship.

Placements: About 75% of students got placed with the highest salary package of 14 LPA. About 90% of the students got internship opportunities. The average salary package offered was around 6 LPA as far as mechanical was concerned. In CSE branch, the highest salary package was around 33 LPA, and the average salary package offered varies from 8 LPA - 9 LPA. Placements: In our passed out batch, there were 15 students, and out of them, around 10 students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA. L&T visited here, but it recruited only 2 students. Companies visit here and prefer B.Tech students rather than M.Tech students, which is not good. Other core companies should also visit here.
